A truly evil person would have tossed the cooks into the oven and prepared them for breakfast for the guards.
I was thinking, if there are pies, why not find the drugs they used on Grumblejack and spike the guards food then go around using disguise self, bring heaps of pie to all the guards! I just thought of that after reading that there were cooks.

Then all we need is a nice chianti and some fava beans.
You know if you have a look around Bief they may just have some lemon meringue pies on a tray close to hand, if you can not bite him why not fo for the Buggsy Malone feeling.
"we could have been anything that we wanted to be..."
You know that gives me an idea

Thinking of which, Cуровую зиму, what is your nickname? I have Zima stuck in my head for you, and while cutting and pasting the characters you use is always doable, a short nickname is always easier. I see now looking back that you typed Zimu at some point, is that the pronunciation you prefer?
-
I think DM DM used Zima, I have not, it sounds like a bad tasting wine cooler, for your use please feel free to call my PC 'Surovu' or 'Cy' (gob did that) or 'the Witch.' Half of us already call you the 'Judge'.

Hold the fava beans, double up on the chianti.
If you can get your hands on it, this is perhaps the best moderately priced chianti I have tried.

Sir Edmin -- I assume you're hoarding your Challenge ability (+1 damage) until you meet an appropriate foe. Don't forget that with your Tactician ability you can grant Precise Strike (extra d6 damage if flanking) to everyone for three rounds as a standard action. That's most useful if you're getting a surprise round, of course.

Yes, I get both once a day, but want to hold off using it on the red shirts here, waiting on someone like Blackery or the Warden.
Douglas Muir 406 |
Oh, that reminds me. Assuming you survive, how do you want to handle xp? I've been keeping track so far. My natural tendency is to award it (along with any bonuses) and let you guys keep a running total and tell me when you level up. I know that some people do it differently (i.e., just say "okay, everybody level up now"). Any preferences?

Every pbp I have been in, the DM just keeps track of the exp and tells the players when they level up. That way you can adjust it to fit with the campaign as necessary. That is probably easiest if you do not mind. Personally unless something very strange happens, we should all level at the same time in my opinion.
Jax Naismith |
Placing it on the campaign info page seems a good idea. I'm also with judge on leveling at the same time, its always awkward when one or more PC's is trailing behind in level.
Rosa_Luminass |
Is its your 1st PbP gm one one others do it, etc is to pop a note in Campaign Info, for me on here as a GM I myself tend to give out a level at the end or start of a fixed part of the game. So ever levels at once but that's just me
Jax Naismith |
The only downside with bonus XP for awesomeness is that moments of the game turn into competitions, or maybe that's just my players (from when I've DMed that way in the past).
Edmin Al'Roth |
Boons work nicely as rewards also. I don't mind either.
A boon could be +x to a skill, attack, save or ability for a set amount of time
Rosa_Luminass |
was just going to say the same thing Jax, down side with with PbP if someone cannot post wile a big set event hot climax they miss out big time, had some very upset players on here who missed out so cut the hand outs back for over all leveling as the team hit a plot high point. But again thats just how I play things now.
In a game now that has a nice use of Hero Points as the added for good game play, you can burn a HP to make a skill class(1 per level, like having a trait) or 3HP to get a feat both only when leveling, you get no HP at levels all must be earned in game max 3, and of course you can burn them as normal HPs.

Sorry about Morsum taking out the last guard. We can always stabilize him, but once he attacked Toothpick, Morsum was not going to give him a chance to attack someone else. Thinking about which, is Bref down? He took a fair amount of damage and I thought already had some from the baker or fire.
Bref |
bref loves morsum...Shadow Beastie...even more so. You guys went crazy, I was gone for 5 hours and 44 posts lol
Awesomeness
Cуровую зиму |
The guard was a present danger, but I was betting we would win any Charisma rolls.
It's alright, my game group on occasion has it's share of blood crazed players, and they cut lose from time to time, I bring the chocolate cookies to bribe then to go easy.
Cуровую is not happy but will not show it for more than a second.
Bref |
he is going to think he is invincible. Also he will be painting himself red w blood. So be ready for that.
He is going to assume that the blood is what healed him. He may be the einstein of gobbos, but still a gobbo
Cуровую зиму |
After we deal with the guard, and do a full search of the rooms, let's plan out our next steps. Please keep an eye out for healing or items like what they drugged the ogre with.
What do we do after searching the rooms for supplies ? Shall we head to the kitchen?
What our plans at this stage? Keep sending Morsum and Berf as scouts? Is Grease still in effect?
We decided to arm Gumblejack then?
Judge Tohram Quasangi |
Grease was only 10 rounds, 1 minute. It should be used up. I could cast it again, but have limited spells and am the only one that can heal Morsum.
I may or may not be on much today. I say first, we quickly search this room and get anything good - weapons, armor, money. Not sure whether this was a bunk room of some sort, but if it was, if there are any chests or footlockers, they should be searched.
We should have Grumblejack toward the front from now on. meat shield if necessary.

One more hit and bref would have popped and seeing has hes our best fighter to date, best keep him safe :)
I beg your pardon?

I think she meant he is our best fighter using a teeth to height ratio system.

Master is wrong.
Morsum proceeds to crouch REALLY short while showing his mouth full of sparkling blood covered red teeth.Morsum |
That is just F-ing creepy.
Lol - which from a crouching shadowy red toothed monstrosity is not something most want to think about, let alone hear. Probably similar to a combination of a dying cow and steel being dragged across steel.
Judge Tohram Quasangi |
lol
I think Morsum is the only one that understands Bref
Well, Judge Tohram is on the same wavelength as well. Except while Bref views it as sustenance, the Judge considers is more of an after dinner aperitif.

ok guys about to get on a plane and will be mia for a while. go ahed and finish actions for the round and when i layover in london i will post

Cуровую зиму |
I have to leave for work in 50 minutes please mind Cуровую as well, she will not engage in direct combat, she will throw daggers or cast Daze or Acid Splash to support the main combatants as best needed. Sleep if the situation is dire. DC 16 because of Spell Focus: Enchantment. If Blackberry shows up she will consider using Charm Person from her bonded item.
