DougFungus' Crypt of the Everflame
Game Master
DougFungus
The Crypt where Ekat Kassen was laid to rest has become an important part of the town's history. This year a group of hand selected individuals have been chosen to venture to the crypt and retrieve the Everflame in time for the autumn celebration.
I did a little bit of cleaning up on the Skydrive by placing past maps into folders. This way only current maps are showing. It was getting to be too much of a mess for me to sort through while doing updates.
You have the ability to modify your folder in any way you desire. If you feel further changes need to be made you may move things around to suit your own needs.
Technically I should make you all rest because thats how the rules work and you are working within an in-game time frame.
On the other hand it's a huge setback and doesn't really make sense in game. If you think about the dynamics of it, you've only been in the Crypt maybe 20 mins... I doubt anybody would stop to rest, especially considering it's early morning/afternoon.
If you guys just want to level up and press on I'd be ok with it this time. I might change my mind next time though.
I'm going to put the game on pause until everyone has completed their character sheet for lv. 2.
So far it looks like only Kerret and Lorant have finished. Post here if you are ready to go.
Ill be out of town for the weekend. The game will continue Monday regardless of who is finished. Feel free to post actions for the next turn and I'll tally everything up as soon as I'm back.
Human Mobile Fighter (hp 31/34; F+5, R+3, W+2 (+2 vs. Fear, +2 vs. Illusions); AC 17, T 12, FF 15)
I'll be on hiatus for the next few days, as we uproot ourselves and move across the ocean. I should have internet when we arrive there, but it might take a bit to get everything sorted out. Feel free to play Lorant as appropriate while I'm out.
I was waiting on pip and vastar to post for the round.
I'm also caught up with my friends wedding this weekend and my job is wrapping up for the season. Fear not though, I promise this is not going to disappear. I'll be on parernaty leave over the winter at which point im hoping to pick up the pace and move into the next module of this adventure.
I think it's just the time of year. All my games are running at a snails pace right now.
Human Mobile Fighter (hp 31/34; F+5, R+3, W+2 (+2 vs. Fear, +2 vs. Illusions); AC 17, T 12, FF 15)
I've seen several of my games slow down too and a couple drop. Since it's been almost a full week for this round, I would say we push on, having their characters simple follow.
In the past I have been proceeding with rounds as soon as I had time AND the majority of the party had posted. I will probably continue with this system unless you guys want a change. The reason the last 2 rounds have been so slow is because of what i mentioned above. Things will pick up again soon. I'll try to have this round complete by tonight.
Maybe it you don't plan on posting in a round, mention it here so that I'm not waiting on anybody. I'm bad for this in some of my games and recently i realized that it makes a difference if i mention something.
OK. I finally managed to get the update done. With the wedding over I should be able to resume a normal schedule again.
Don't be afraid to ask for an update if you feel we need one! Its a huge motivator if I'm falling behind.
I also wanted to throw this out on the table for you guys. Would all of you be interested in doing a live session at any point. Since I do everything through MapTool anyway there is no reason why we couldn't do a 1 off session using Skype and MapTool to power through a piece of the module. This might also work better for the second book too since things can get mighty complicated then. Let me know your opinions on this. We could only do something like this if everybody was on board with the idea.

I wouldn't mind this, though my time zone might be prohibitive. I'm currently GMT +2, so 6 hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Daylight Time. Weekends would be best.
I thought that might be an issue. Depending on where Doc Watson (Kaylee) is currently located, he might be even further out. I agree that a weekend game might be best.
I'm at GMT-6 (US Central) and I would like to do a virtual tabletop on G+ or something, but it could be tough to arrange the block of time to do it. I've got a 5 month old at home, and one of the reasons I do PbP is because it's much more manageable time wise. That said, if everyone else is on board, I can try to make it work, I just can't make a firm commitment.
Excellent. Assuming we can work out the time thing, when or what part of the adventure would you like to try this? Immediately? Floor 2? The next book?
I have the day off due to rain today but I have my RL Pathfinder game tonight. I can make an update today, but only if its within the next 4 hours. If not we will have to wait until tomorrow.
Initiative +1, Perception +2 (+4 w/Fenris) Current AC 15, Current HP 13/20 (20/20 non-lethal)
I'm usually up early so that won't be a problem. My RL gaming is Saturday evenings but that shouldn't interfere as long as we aren't running marathon sessions.
I'm booked up for the next 3-4 weeks so this weekend won't work. If everybody is eager to do this I can plan something for mid-next month.
I think a weekend game would be best so as not to conflict with too many schedules.
Kerret, it seems like you might have the most trouble with this so id like to know what the best time for you is. PM me if you are not comfortable posting details here. Ill try to some up with a schedule after that.
I think a short 2-4 session should put us far enough ahead that we can resume play here.
Hey guys, I've got some bad news. They've cut my hours at work so any chunks of free time that I have are going to need to be spent searching and applying for new jobs. But hey, if my contract ends before I find something new, my schedule will be wide open. Anyway, bottom line is I can't commit to a session off the boards right now. If that changes, I'll let you guys know.
