It is not letting me do that right now, plus I didn't discover internet predrawings until recently.
This debris-laden chamber once held a shrine and wooden altar, but all of that was smashed decades ago by vandals. The ceiling here has remained intact over the years, helping to preserve a hugh bas-relief state of a muscular humanoid man with a pointy beard gesturing toward a huge mountain in the background, his face a picture of mortal concern.
DC 15 religion check revealed that the beared figure is depicted in a manner similar to the way in which the faith of Sarenrae depict their saints, but this is not one of the more frequently honored saints of that faith.
How does that information help you in gameplay? Does it help reveal hints about future combats or hints about hidden items, or help you bypass combats with a peaceful solution? Maybe, maybe not, I don't read ahead. If I was a player I would ask those questions, other than storyline purposes, why is that information useful to gameplay?
Okay so only identifying some things on the statue, what do hereos want to do now?
Edit: Got Url to work though I'm not deleting the old one till later as that will take time.

Bel follows stopping to look at te saint for a bit
nothing special more about it.
At Illia. You see the same exact statue, yes two statues on both sides. On this one has palms out, in a sign of peace.
You see a door to the south. On it is a sign that says. "A ghost of unholy mien was purged from this place by Theodephus Estrovan, servant of Aroden, 4691 AR.
Roscoe of Sarenrae |
We seem to have split, I'll try to join back.
Roscoe moves forward but his attention was redirected to a smaller room with multiple openings. Moving back a bit, he looks into one of the openings.
Roscoe of Sarenrae |
Roscoe calls out to the others aloud "Guys, there's a large animal here that I think you should see!" not caring if it disturbs the animal or not. He does have his spear drawn though.
Roscoe of Sarenrae |
I can still act in the surprise round? If yes, here's my standard action.
Roscoe steps up and stabs at the bird before it can attempt any retaliation against them after Belsiard provoked for combat.
Boar Spear Attk: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23 (no crit)
Boar Spear Dmg: 1d6 ⇒ 2
DoubleGold |
don't know what happened to the other player, hasn't been on since the 16th. I'm not botting him because that feels like the DM playing a PC and I'm trying to avoid that here.
afterter hurting the bird badly, it is ready to retaliate.
Round 1
init: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (5) = 8 Roscoe
init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 Ilia
init: 1 + 1d20 ⇒ 1 + (2) = 3 belsiard
init: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (4) = 6 vulture
Roscoe of Sarenrae |
Roscoe lowers his spear, dropping the head so that he may hold it in one hand as he gestures with a whirling motion to Summon Monster II (eagles). Positioning them around the vulture that two of them ia flanking it.
# of Eagles: 1d3 ⇒ 3
I cant modify the map thru mobile, so I'll leave it to you GM to decide where it makes sense.
The eagles immediately attack with a flurry of wings, beaks, and talons.

Talon Atk A2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

yep it is dead as birds swarm it. one thing I just realized, i did burning hands wrong, I counted it as 1d4 extra every 2 levels beyond first, I guess it works differnt from most spells that I remember.
Heroes find an item called tempest. It can change into any simple or martial one handed melee weapon and it is a +1 weapon. and some money.
what do heroes want to do now?
DoubleGold |
here is what belsiar sees
This small antechamber was a place for reflection before monks gathered in the chapter house in the room to the right of this one. Carvings of religious significance to the cult of Sarenrae line the walls, but none seem to involve Vardishal or help in any way to lessen the mystery of the abandoned monastery.
Nothing in this room.

You see 3 batlike creatures, arcana to id dc 11 stirge anyone who just looks it up, just don't tell everyone.
they have to be cleared out of this church, surprise rounds when ready.
Ilia Heartdrum |
Ilia shouts, "Stirges! Don't let them touch you! They'll latch on, drink your blood, and possibly infect you!" before she erupts into song and looses an arrow at the one on the right.
Perform (Sing): 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 3
K. Arcana: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (10) + 8 = 18
Roscoe of Sarenrae |
Wasn't it a standard action to start a song? Or have I been playing my other bard wrong over the past month...?
Roscoe runs towards Ilia after her shouting "What did you say? Something about drinking blood... vampires?"
Double move to just behind Ilia.

damage: 1d2 ⇒ 1we are going to make this combat simple, instead of the dm dealing with complex stuff, as I will deal with complex stuff later in the game. Illia you take 1d2 HP damage instead of 1 con damage.
Ilia Heartdrum |
You're totally right Roscoe, and this is a surprise round anyhow, I could only do the one thing... DG: Retcon: Ilia starts singing, no attack.
Now, Ilia, while singing, drops her bow, draws her revolver and shoots the thing attached to her.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 = 23 Point-Blank Shot, Precise Shot, BAB +2, DEX +2
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
DoubleGold |
Belsiard and roscue are up.
@Ilia, you did full damage and killed it, roleplaying wise, I don't see how you do one damage, it was on you, even if you shot just the leg the bullet is too close and probably would have traveled through the whole body, from up the leg to the stomach. If you would have rolled a 2 or higher, I would have called hit, otherwise it would be saying you could miss with a gun when the gun is less than 1/2 inch away from your target. I could understand 1 damage it it was 5 feet away, but it was attached to you, you would have likely just shot it through the stomach at that distance.
