Doom Comes to Dustpawn

Dalviss Crenn, ex-adventurer and proprietor of the Mineshaft Inn of Dustpawn (in eastern Isger, near the Drumish border) has sent an invitation to each of you, asking for aid. A meteor recently crashed somewhere in the hills, several miles to the south of Dustpawn, but Dalviss believes it to be a ship from the far reaches of space. The townsfolk scoff at his theory, and to save himself further ridicule, and get to the truth of the matter, Dalviss has turned to you to find the crash site.

Gii walked, as well. I had the same thought as Paul - that a horse might get bogged down in a swamp, and that wouldn't have been good at all.

Acknowledged, I was thinking that if we need to carry her or anything else out, a horse will help.

Bart, it's difficult terrain on either side of the narrow trail. I don't believe Alar can charge over difficult terrain.

Alar has a movement of 40, or eight squares. He should have just enough movement to get to W:14 if I did the map right. As for where he initially was he appears to be on T:20 at the moment, so that's what I based my math on. XD


I'm not working that out right. You're remembering every second diagonal is 10 and not 5, right?

Also, i'm not seeing how he avoids and AoO

He's not trying to avoid AoO's, he's just charging in. He can go from T: 20 to U:19 for 1, then to V:18 for 3, W:17 for five, then W:14 for seven... I think? Oh, crap, forgetting the bloody difficult terrain again... Hrm... not enough move to get to that toad...

Alright then, W:17 is his goal, and he's attack the tongue attached to Bart instead. Does that work?

To clarify, it's difficult terrain off the path.

To get a clear shot at the tongue Alar would need to be in V16, and would get in AoO from the other toad.

On the plus side, though, with the damage Alar rolled, it would probably let go. :)
