Tarvinda, squints her eyes in the dim light, watching Andwell as his fingers twist and turns into nooks and crannies. In a soft whisper, she talks to herself, "He certainly does look quite experienced at finding things!"
Andwell has been trying desperately to give the illusion he was oblivious the banter of the others. At hearing the above comment, he uncontroable burst out a huge belly laugh HaaaaHoooooWaHa. His cover blown, he looks around and smiles at the others.
she walks over to Tarvinda
"Since the men are busy bathing.
We should look at that claw wound that went to the shoulder blade you got from the skeletons earlier,"
after a short pause due to examining
"And if need be stitch the wounds,
I have a shot glass sized bottle of vodka to clean a wound if needed."
after a short pause due to think
"And when the men are done bathing, ask Xeros to clean the water,
and then take a bath while the men are in the first room.
And hopefully also talk things out and get to know each other better and know where each is coming from."
after a short pause due to thinking over her words
I need swim and intellegence checks from both the men that are looking for the key/bathing.
Those that are looking around the room find two more doors to the south and if Andwell wants he can check to see if they're locked or trapped or wait for the others to be done cleaning up.
Tarvinda turns back to Sia, a little surprised at her quiet movement. "You can help with that, well sure, though I will have to remove armor to let you see. I'm not sure if that's a good idea in this hostile environment, don't want to meet those skeletons again unprepared. Later, when we come to rest, then maybe you can see the damage. Although Iomedae has given me the grace to heal such wounds if needs be." she smiles back at Sia. "Your concern touches me, though we have only been acquainted for a short time." Tarvinda relaxes a bit, even trusting this young woman will be helpful on this solemn ritual.
not being unfriendly, but her military training doesn't let her take her guard down, without someone replacing her.
"Your right, this is not the best environment for checking wounds.
When we sleep next, we should check it for signs of infection.
while one of the men are on guard."
Andwell: The door on the right is locked while the door on the left is not. Neither door is trapped.
Xeros you're having a little trouble getting down to the bottom of the pool with out running out of air and thus can't find the key you're looking for.
The tiefling shoots back up as he breaks the surface and starts gasping for breath. *cough**cough**"Didn't find it yet, how about you Neculai any luck?"
He waits a moment catching his breath then recasts his detect magic and dives back in.
Swim:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Int Check:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
Jeez can't catch a break on my swim.
Coming up from the water and breathing hard, "Neculai, what did we find our good sir." He hops out of the pool, and drys off a bit while double checking the pool for any other magical auras.
I only came to that thought of reversing the "Magic is the Key" phrase and it becomes "The Key is Magic," so a magic key.
And judging by the look he's giving, I'm right.
Andwell strides over to join the conversation.
After listening, he tell what he found out about the two doors.
He concludes with But I didn't disturb them further. Seeing as half of us were wet, and the other half naked. Bad time to find new monsters . . .
"My lad Andwell would you like to do the honors of testing out the key? Or would you like me to do it?" Xeros says as he puts back on his clothes and armor.
Tarvinda is left scratching her head as it seems that Andwell is trying to lock doors that are already open. "I really don't understand that little halfling." She then goes to the door that is open and attempts to hear any movement from the 'other side'. "I hope he hasn't attracted any unwelcome visitors."
Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 to listen at the door and/or look and listen through the keyhole.
Thinking of magic being the key the tiefling is curious and casts detect magic on each of the doors in the room. After that Xeros will move next to Tarvinda and whispers, "If you start to understand them you have already lost it yourself." He gives her a grin and listens as well at the door, debating to try another on the drunk ones powers or not.
Neither Tarvinda or Xeros are able to hear anything behind the door so anxiously Andwell will open it. Ahead of you all is a long corridor that is flanked by a row of human statues, set into alcoves on each side. The statues look like Kassen, and each one holds a longsword out in front of it. The blades of roughly half of the statues are wrapped in leather padding.
As you enter the hallway I'll need perception checks from all of you.
Neculai will cast Detect Magic before any steps foot inside, unless someone has already done so. In which case, he will cast detect magic before anyone else steps inside.
Tarvinda sees the statues, magnificent tributes to Kassen. "Gosh, I'd never had thought there would be such a magnificent display in honor of Kassen." She stands momentarily in the door before she enters the corridor, looking around admiringly.
Perception 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 What's to be afraid of, they're just statues....aren't they!!!
"At least her wounds didn't hurt her spirit, heres to that." The tiefling raises his wineskin to her bravery. As he looks on to see if he see's any traps.
