I am taking a big exam next Friday. I'll try to post here and there, but please excuse my diminished presence over the next 8 days.

I'll prepare and scribe a scroll of enlarge person, then on the second day prepare the following spells: color spray, grease, protection from evil.

Is that diplomacy check to gather information? If so, you have to specify a topic/question for the information...

Hum...between chores and the other routine activities, I think Sal will do her best to keep her ear to the ground and her eyes open for any news or sight of anyone behaving strangely. If I still need to narrow it down further, just let me know!

Tera is going to be keeping her head down for the most part. She'll do her chores and take care of anything else that needs it, but if she can help it, she's going to avoid being in the public eye if she can.

I'll be looking for any dirt on Longjiku, as Roakkad is now pretty convinced he's behind the goblin raid.

Sorry for the silence, I've been keeping my head down fighting off a bug.

Kaede will be more active in town then normal, actively helping anyone that needs it. While doing so, however, she's keeping her ears open for any information about the local goblins (both regular and out of the ordinary), as well as any other odd disturbances in the nearby region. Likewise, she wouldn't be -adverse- to hearing information about Lonjiku or the Glassworks, but she knows better then to actually fish for it right now.

Kaelaah, unsettled and unsure as to the meaning of the last two days, will immerse himself in duties at the cathedral... if there is any time, he will seek out any literature on goblins... if for no other reason than he suspects he will soon be fighting the pests again...

Zache will exercise his oratory skills at taverns and other gathering places, telling stories and generally being in the social spotlight. He'll also ask about any local gossip, the juicier the better.

Perform (oratory): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Diplomacy (gather information): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

I can't remember if I ever made an official statement/ruling on this or not but as we draw near to leveling up I want to make sure everyone is aware...

We are, generally, following the re-revision on using SLAs to qualify for things (i.e. they don't work), however the domain spells you all gain as SLAs from your marked domain will count as divine spells for the purpose meeting requirements for feats or prestige classes. So, as an example, if she wants to Tera could start out as arcanist 4/cleric 1 and then go into mystic theurge (using arcanist for 2nd level arcane and the 4th level SLA for 2nd level divine); or, Roakkad at 3rd level could take the adept channeling feat (qualifying with his familiar class feature and his 1st level SLA for divine casting).

If anyone has any questions about this please feel free to let me know. Also, I'm not willing to go full PFS and let you totally rebuild when you hit second but if anyone wants to make relatively little changes let me know (I want to avoid someone going from a full caster to a rogue or something, but arcanist to exploiter wizard or slayer to ranger or something like that would probably be fine).

As of right now I don't foresee me wanting to change anything with Sal (or pursue a prestige class) but all of that is good to know just the same. Thanks!

Sorry for the delay- things have been a disaster at work and I just haven't had the emotional/intellectual resources to write anything at all. I think we turned a corner today and I might get something up (though I have a pretty full day of meetings). I will get something up by tomorrow afternoon.

So here's the situation.

I haven't been in a good place lately (again). My desktop computer has died due to a hard drive issue, and my one-year-old tablet has decided to stop working as well. This restricts me to posting on my phone, which is amazingly difficult due to a cracked screen and prohibitively slow loading times.

Right now, I'm at a friend's house posting this. I'll be around, and trying to post occasionally from my phone, but until Microsoft get me my replacement device, I'll be spotty at best.

ok... this is the first time i'm trying this, so i apologize if it doesn't go well. below is our crude map. each character is a 5' square; | and - are walls; / and \ are closed doors (open doors will show an empty space or whatever is standing in it); 0's are empty spaces and a "." is a placeholder (if its inside a wall or somewhere you can't see). Each of you are represented by your first initial except Kaede who in keeping with Tian tradition will use her family name (an M, because I can't use K for her and Kael). % is the sleeping goblin and * is the charmed one. 1 is the one chanting, 2 is the one that just slashed Kaede pretty hard, and 3 is the one that stabbed Sal. Let's see how this goes...

Hey all, sorry I've been slow to post here- I have to have a pretty significant surgery tomorrow and life's been super hectic trying to get everything prepared for being out of commission for a couple months. I'll try to make sure I get a post up today, after that it might be a couple days. Once I'm home I'll try to keep up with the posts but I might be a little slow (and the posts may be a bit drug-addled).

I think I owe everyone an explanation, and an apology.

In my circle of gamer friends, I'm known as the one with terrible luck. When I play at a PFS table, my dice conspire against me, seldom rolling above a 9. When someone gets sick, I always pick it up. If technological eff-ups happen, they're always to me. I'm the bad luck magnet that soaks the bad stuff so everyone else can be awesome and have a good time.

So it dismayed, but didn't surprise me when, shortly after getting my replacement tablet, my charger stopped working, and I had to wait for a replacement to arrive (and it was only through goodwill that I was able to get one).

Then I came down with sinusitis.

Then I had to start involuntary volunteer work to keep my welfare payments (remember, I'm unemployed [not for lack of trying], and the Australian job market is tanking).

Then I developed laryngitis.

It sounds ridiculous, but it's all true - and my friends would back me up and say it wouldn't happen to anyone but me!

The sinusitis has passed, and the laryngitis is on its way out (finally!). I'm hoping to return to my (ir)regularly-scheduled posting soon. I'm sorry for my radio silence, and I wish I could promise more regular posts, but... the simple fact is, I don't know *how* life's going to kick me next.

Geeze, I'm sorry that life has been kicking you around so much Zache. You've not missed much and with the GM recovering from surgery I don't expect we'll be very active for a few more days at least. Hang in there!

Sorry I haven't returned to posting here yet... I've been easing back into the games where I'm a player but I've already screwed up a couple of posts (like using abilities I don't actually have) so I don't think I'm ready to resume GMing yet.

Take your time. I think we'd all rather you recover and have to wait than have you push yourself too hard.
