Basically, how Riverland-sey does the archtype have to be? For example:
1) General archetype w/ a little bit of a riverlands theme painted on.
2) General Archtype w/ strong reason why it occurs in the Riverlands, including naming places where they are trained, npcs who might easily have the archtype, etc.
3) Riverlands only archtype tied with a specific reason for existing in the riverlands.
4) Something else?
I would think that if you could print the archetype in a book about the River Kingdoms, or in a RK module/AP, you're probably golden. Bandit Lord? Sure. Oakwarden? Definitely. Tomb Raider? Err... not so much.
As far as detail goes, having a stronger RK flavor may curry more favor with voters, but I don't think anyone would get DQed for not specifically calling out cities they exist in or whatnot.

From the Round 2 Rules(emphasis mine):
RIVER KINGDOMS: The archetype must be something appropriate to the River Kingdoms region of Paizo’s Pathfinder campaign setting. The River Kingdoms is a collection of small city-states and independent towns bound together by a code of justice called the Six River Freedoms. More information on the River Kingdoms can be found in The Inner Sea World Guide and Guide to the River Kingdoms. An archetype that is not appropriate to the River Kingdoms (specifically, one designed for another country such as Cheliax or Osirion) will be disqualified.
