Without giving it a second though, Brachar lowers his head and runs straight at the cleric.

Scar drops onto the balcony and then charges the cleric.

About an hour ago there were quite a few more cultists here. They captured six of my colleges." she looks around. "This place might be in trouble. "As for getting into the Crypt of Fools, The entrance lies under an ancient fountain hidden somewhere below Old Cassomir, though the knowledge of its exact location was lost some time ago and f inding it presents a bit of a problem. A legend among engineers tells of a series of hidden clues within three Cassomir monuments. These clues yield three locations which, when triangulated, give the location of the surface entrance to the Crypt of Fools; they also show the combination required to unlock the entrance. Look for old buildings built by the Ismacco family, whom we’ve long suspected used the Crypt of Fools as the base of their heinous operations after it fell from use.”

She thinks more about what she can do for you, wondering if you had anything more to ask her, or show her.

Thinking about it for a moment. “The Ismacco engineers also built the Imperial Hall of Records, the Admiralty Citadel, and the Harbor Watch; laid the stone that makes up the square around Pharasma’s Pulpit; built retaining walls to shore up some of the ruins at Quickfall Abbey.”

After showing the paintings to the Gnome, she can easily figure out somethign that they all over looked. "These buildings were all built by the Ismacco. You'll get something in act 3 later for this knowledge.

"The cultists wanted any blueprints that detailed the Crypt of Fools. They said something about keeping the locations of the hidden tunnel a secret."

Update. 3 puzzles.

1. The first painting. The statue in front of the swift prison is Aroden, a lone figure. He was known for using devine powers in his painting.

2. The second painting. This is the Cassomir's Imperial Hall of Records. While easily looking it over, you are able to find a bas-relief in the southwest corner of the building. Where you find a piece of parchment with musical notes on it.

3. The third paining. This is of the northeastern retaining wall that shores up some of the ruined towers of the ancient quickfall Abbey. Upon going to the location in the painting, you are able to find a piece of paper with the initial "I" on it.

Okay, so just to be clear, with numbers of the paintings above, is this just information from looking at the paintings, or have we gone to the three locations?

At each location, you must search for the clues left behind. Thael finds them quite easily each time.
On the map location is the pictures. Now, you have to look at the handouts and figure out what they mean. The Gnome gave you some hints in her dialog. Feel free to look at the maps located on the google slide page.

"These shapes correspond to physical locations in Cassomir itself."

He strokes his dark beard, streaked with gray.

"See how this one forms the towers of the castle, this one of the towers by the dock, and this one like the central square. We should check out these locations and see what we find."

After drawing a line on the map from each location, you notice that it makes a triangle. At the center of the triangle, you find a Forgotten Fountain.

An ancient fountain decorates this open tunnel intersection. Many chipped sculptures provide spouts which drizzles water splash into the basin below. The fountain’s cold concrete edges have carved symbols that adorn its sides in three distinct bands. A set of stairs leading down from above empties into the room from the south, while two 5-foot-wide tunnels exit the room to the east and west.

Easily view able by Grahl, he shortly points out the massive tumblers taht circle the fountain's base.

Each of the tumblers have hundreds of symbols etched on them. Again, Grahl can see that each tumbler has symbols related to the each of the locations you've visited before. The top one has the symbols at the first location, while the 2nd has those from the next and the 3rd (bottom) has the symbols from the last.

Strength:

Both Grahl and Brachar try to move the dials to line up the symbols, but only Max is able to budge it.

I'm guessing and hoping they're undead. Would love to control them.

If they are undead, I Channel in a 30ft burst. They need to pass a DC 19 Will save or fall under my control. I can control 8 hit dice of undead. Any beyond that continue to act normally. If they're intelligent they get another save in 24 hours.
