Male Human Ranger/1

Easily dodging the monster's attack, Rory returns with another burst of energy from his finger.

Magic Missile Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Recharge: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Unless I have to wait longer to recharge...in which case:

Rory returns with a two-handed swing of the mop-stick.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1

"UGLY!" gibes Denton as he takes a step back, twirling his hanbo and watching for another opening.

Was waiting on Aiden, but... hmm. Well, I'm going to try and speed things up a lot, at least to get you guys through this bit of the story. After that, let's see if you want to play through all of it or essentially call it a night and hear the rest of the plot.

Michael:
As you ask your question, a surge of knowledge flows into your mind, like ice suddenly sliding right into your skull. If the brain could actually feel anything, anyway... the round creature is known as a [Fleshdreg], while the other is a [Goblin Snake]. At least, that's the closest approximation your Grimoire can get... They aren't especially powerful, but they are nasty little things.

Rory's magic and Michael's physical blow slam into the round monster, which is looking very badly injured by now. It shouldn't take much more to actually finish it off, though the other creature still looks rather healthy, and the one with the unusual head darts forward once more, trying to feast on Denton.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 for Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

The other one, round and composed of weird flesh, continued its duel with Rory.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 for Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 And a DC 12 Fortitude check.

Male Human Ranger/1

Fort: 1d20 ⇒ 15

Quickly recovering from the attack, Rory tries to hit the weird thing in the...something.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 3

"Sonofa..." yelps Denton as the creature strikes and -- ignoring his new wound -- he immediately counterattacks.

Attack (hanbo): 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1 Sigh.

As Rory's strike connects, the fatter creature goes soaring backwards and hits the far wall, dropping down... and not getting back up afterwards. The accumulated damage seems like it's too much for its body to bear, and Denton's followup strike smacks the other creature upside the head. It's still quite healthy, but it shouldn't be long until your magic is ready to use again, and that ought to help a bit.

However, the creature shows no sign of letting up its attack and its fangs glisten with blood as it continues trying to rip through Denton's body.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15 for Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

Male Human Ranger/1

Do we go again?
