The one doing the tugging was a young woman, looking none too happy with what was going on.
(Yeah, we're not exactly thrilled about it either...)
First: Nice art, GM.
Second: I am so glad to see a GM referencing this kind of art. Since he's just a regular Joe I didn't bother with Denny, but I make chibi avatars for most of my characters. This is one of my Varisian oracles for example; this, my gnomish alchemist. One of the local GMs complains he can't take my PCs seriously. I say, "Phear the cute ones!" Bwahaha.
Anyway, it's nice to know I'm not the only one comfortable with a little kawaii mixed in with the death and destruction. Thanks! :o)
Submitting Character for Review (this is The Little King btw)
Fluff
Spoiler:
Name: Rory Dunne
Alignment: CG
Class: Expert
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 195 lbs
Eyes: Blue
Hair: Red
Age: 19
Description: [spoiler] Rory grew up in the 'burbs thanks to his single mother CEO of a major textile company, and was all set to start his sophomore year at the same Ivy League college as his long-time girlfriend. That was until his mother caught wind of how he won over said girlfriend by getting her stalker expelled. It didn't matter that he did it for the right reasons, he had broken laws, and his mother sent him away to Arkham to go to school against his will.
Whilst unpacking, however, he found something he certainly didn't remember packing...or owning for that matter. It was a strange book with what appeared to be an astronomical constellation over which the image of a man picking his way through a door could be seen. A theif he thought...a gag gift from his mother no doubt. But on the inside cover he saw a note with very peculiar instructions...
Fairly good, but a Grimoire probably wouldn't have a cover that looked like a thief. ^^ The Constellations and the books themselves aren't connected in quite that sort of way - in fact, the entire cover should be utterly incomprehensible to anyone who doesn't have some sort of magical ability. Let's see, for the Thief constellation... I think the Cryptical Books of Hsan would be a good choice for your Grimoire's name. ^^
As for basic spells, go read the first post of the Recruitment thread again - this campaign has some VERY specific regulations that you should keep in mind, and does differ a bit from Pathfinder norm. ^^
Sorry, this is the character...IDK why it didn't post as him before. I'll take a look at the spells tomorrow evening (I've got a long shift tomorrow). Sorry I didn't see them the first go 'round.
Eeeeeexcellent! Unfortunately, right this moment is a bit of a bad time for a new character to drop in; I think I'd like to introduce Rory to the others once morning arrives. ^^ That may be a few days, depending on how fast we get through the rest of this bit, but you're welcome to chat with the other players and ask any questions you might have about the system being used. ^^
Michael wanders around the grounds, looking lost. He turns to the nearest authority figure-looking person and says:"Hey, I think I may have gotten lost. I'm looking for an old building full of people studying cool, weird stuff. They sent me this letter..."He lets his sentence drop off intentionally and wonders how this somehow makes it a question, though he knows it's always taken that way.

Well this was unexpected. Someone I work with went full retard and I had to actually escort him from Argentina to Quantico. My eight year old laptop officially died the night I got there. Have one more flight to get back to Arg, but I'll be available until that takes off tonight. My life was never this exciting before I started doing PbP...
New players, you can now make your introductory posts. ^^
As a side-note, there will be minimal posting from me over this weekend - I'm going to a convention, so I'll be a bit busy. XD I'll get on when I can, though.

Love it. :o)
As to posting schedules, for about six weeks starting Monday, I'll only be posting mornings/evenings/weekends. I'll still be able to read and keep up during the workday, but won't be able to post as a rule.
"In every generation, there is a chosen one..." Rory chimed, leaning his head suggestively toward the door where Allison had just left...
This made me realize for the first time how much I liked Highlander in the later years and how similar the two shows are in some ways. Which reminds me...
I'm trying to start my first Campaign, but I don't know how. I can see how to post in the PbP sub-threads, but it doesn't come up like this with the six tabs. Help?
Usually, you'll make a Recruitment thread. From there, you should be able to click to the other tabs (i.e. once the Recruitment thread is open), and add new threads that are linked to it. ^^
I'd like all of you to take max HP on when you level up. ^^ You're confined to classes that don't offer much in the way of skills and power, so you should at -least- get as much HP as possible to help you survive.

Cloak of the Hedge Wizard, with a focus on Enchantment, is an acceptable option for your item. ^^
As for the item ability... I believe Darkvision is only involved as one of the powers that Intelligent items can possess? Or are you looking at a 3rd Party source?
It's possible, but I couldn't tell what abilities were linked to an intelligent item. This is the list I was using. If you have third party lists I can select from, let me know and I'll take a look. :)
Abilities that have requirements keep those requirements. ^^ At the moment, you can't select any powers limited to Minor or Major artifacts - but you're certainly welcome to do select the options when they become available if you'd like to have them.

Okay so that list just got a whole lot smaller. Well then, let's make it an Intelligent Cloak of the Hedge Wizard (Enchanting). Special ability is spellcasting from the Wizard's spell list.Sleep,Daze Monster, and Create Pit is five points worth of spells I can cast as spell-like abilities. Or I'm misunderstanding that and you only get to pick from special abilities every time after the first? Either way, intelligence is my choice.
No, you get to pick special abilities at each level. ^^ However, for Spellcasting with Intelligent items...
"No spell can have a level higher than the bonded creature's tier."
At the moment, only first-level spells are available, since you're still at the first Mythic tier. On the other hand, that does mean you could have five first-level spells instead - or use the extra points to increase the number of uses you have for a smaller number of choices. It's up to you. ^^
Spectacles of Understanding with Metamagician is acceptable. ^^
(Note that you will lose the powers of Metamagician if your future choices don't meet its requirements, though, and you'll have to wait until you change back to an appropriate item in order to regain its effects.)
