I AM BACK. Sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience. It has been a much busier holiday season than expected. But the infant is sleeping and the kids are back to school so I have a few moments i can focus on getting my PBP's back into action. Expect a post this morning or early afternoon as I look over the thread and review the new characters. I will make a general post to include our new characters so we can pick up where the thread left off. I will take some narrative liberties, I hope our new characters will approve, if something is WAY out of Character please note it and we will adjust our Memory of the events. This is not my preferred way of introducing the new PC's but I think for our unique situation it is the best way. See you in the GAME THREAD soon.

Sorry for the long delay again. My wife has had some health issues the past few weeks, and that on top of the normal holiday schedule has made things kind of crazy here.

I have put a bit of a backstory up for Vili, though I had more in mind...the rest can play out over the game I hope.

for any who found that exchange confusing: my character in the Shattered Star game that I know Gillian from is actually this guy's son- when i created that character (before this game started) part of his backstory was that his father had been involved in the events from this AP so when I applied for this the chance to make his dad seemed too good to pass up :)

Actually no, I didn't even know there was an author by that name until just now! It's funny, I also had someone ask if my character for the aforementioned Shattered Star game was based on an anime character. In truth, I just like the name 'Gillian' and Flynn sounded like a good surname to go with it :)

Yea, my fiance and I were in Barnes and Noble and I was reading the recent posts. Almost burst out in to laughter to Zwain's post in the middle of B&N, and I looked over and saw the name Gillian Flynn and went "Wait... What?" lol

Yay! Inter-character conflict! Totally awesome lol.

Gillian is my first character deliberately envisioned to be more outspoken and....argumentative, which is almost the polar opposite of my RL self. Don't worry though, she usually doesn't stay aggravated for long :)

Oh, it's totally personal lmao. No worries, I'm enjoying it for sure.

I love the dialogue and i don't have a problem with inter party conflict. I think it makes the characters more real and the story more interesting. That said please don't make it personal, always keep in mind the larger goal of the story, and make it an aim to eventually have the conflict resolve in a beneficial way for the characters and the group. Of course that dosent need to be an instantaneous thing, feel free to let the conflict carry on from scene to scene if it's warranted. Role play on, if I sense as the GM it's going too far I will address it with those players individually.

Okay no problem. I'm not taking it personal by the way, I just tend to be sarcastic often for comedic value.

dude- Mythril, you're a machine with those reviews...

the year i made top 32 i critiqued every single item in the CMI thread but i haven't had enough time any year since.

Last year I tried to critique the entire thread but never got though them all. I started at the end last year trying to get some of the items that usually don't get much attention some feed back. This year I am trying to get them all, so to make it easier to keep track I am starting at the beginning of the list. It's fun and helpful for my own learning, while I am not hoping to breaking into the RPG business full time, I would love to get some stuff published through a 3PP.

Those of you who are local to Sandpoint would likely know about Old Tusk. He is a legendarily large boar that plagues the forest and farmlands around the area. Practically every farmer and local hunter has a story about him and most are greatly embellished. There is no proof the massive boar exists but some have claimed it damaged their farms, butchered cattle, and some have even claimed to see it. This is a legend like Bigfoot so feel free to role-play it up.

I have a busy weekend, probably won't post again till Monday. Take the weekend to do some role-play and then I will burn us ahead to the boar hunt.

my posting rate may be a little bit low for the next couple days too... i just cut the tip of my left pointer finger off with an axe (I have it held back on with some sterile gauze and duct tape, and i'd give it about a 66% chance to heal back on, but typing this way is awkward and uncomfortable).

Just an FYI for everyone. We are taking a family vacation this week. Leaving on Wednesday and coming back on Tuesday. Today and tomorrow as well as the Wednesday I start back to work are going to be hectic. I will try to post tomorrow but it might be Thursday next week before I have a chance to make a decent DM post again.

Sorry for the lack of posting, it's pack week at my place lol. I lose internet on Friday, so after that I'm combat hindered for about a week and a half until I get to the new place. So I can post out of combat from my phone, but the map gets all screwy for me on the phone.

I am back from Vacation and should be able to post something tomorrow. Just to busy getting caught up a work today.

Hey all, I'm really sorry but I have some IRL stuff going on and I'm going to have to step away from the boards indefinitely. This group and AP have been fun and I feel bad for leaving you a man down. I can try to finish up this little outing if we can do it quickly (I'm guessing we're not gonna stick around to explore with Zwain mostly dead, so I could stay on until we get back to town and you can easily replace me.)

Sorry to hear this news, I pray that all will work out for the best. I understand the need to step away, but know you are always welcome to join back up with us in the future. If you want to finish up this side quest you are welcome to, but I can always take over and NPC Baldric until we get back to town if that helps you.

At this time I don't think we need to replace Baldric, we have four characters and all the "roles" are still covered. The AP's are geared for four so the balance should still be okay.
