I don't think Wren can see or hear the warchanter from her current position, so she is going to follow Eponine who seems to know what she is doing.

Wren, not sure exactly what is happening, and not seeing anymore adversaries, turned to follow the elf female towards the sound of the dogfight.

Double move, following Eponine.

Female Human Lore Oracle 5

DM, do any of the townspeople seem to be responding to the cathedral bells and the sheriff's call for a fire brigade yet?

When she hears the bells start to ring, Sophy gasps in horror, and tears return to her eyes. "Not again; oh, not again," she begs. Hoping that the young Magnimar guardsman can handle the goblin, she turns and runs northward toward the jeweler's. "Help! Fire! Save the cathedral!" she shouts as she runs, hoping to rouse the citizens of Sandpoint. Double move north toward the jeweler's; if she can get there this round, she'll pound on the door.

Mid Morning Day 2 Total earned XP: 15,000

Wren chases after Eponine and catches up to her beside the festival stage. Sophy runs to the front door of the Jewelers and bangs upon the door. The sheriff disappears into the shed attached to his house. South of the fire Cyrdak and Father Zantus appear with buckets of water which they use to put out some of the small blaze. It seems the Goblins made a poor fire bomb. The flames are burning the grass but the church stone seems to only being stained black with soot.

Wren double move to AY82; Sophy runs to AW72

So intent on killing the goblin, Victor is unaware of Sophy moving northward. "Alright you stupid, filthy arson! Let us see if Victor can put an end to you and the rest of your kind's atrocities!" He says to the goblin, as he avoids the torch being swung at him and returns with his own attack from his rapier, hoping it strikes true and putting an end to this one.

Sorry for the long delay.....here we go!

Victors thrust was strong, and would probably have killed the Goblin had it struck true. Brock turns away from the blaze and races after the female Goblin. Eponine moves north and turns her ear to listen carefully, her best guess is that the dogs are fighting just up church street possibly in front of the White Deer Inn. (about 150 ft away)

The fire spreads getting closer the the sheriffs house, while a fire brigade continues to dump water on the smoldering grass. Victor dodges another blow. The warchanter chants loudly and points at Brock who shakes off a fuzzy feeling in his head.

I figure that she would think that you should know more than she, not being from around here, so to speak. And I wish that building blocking the goblin caster from sight wasn't there, or I would go help there!

Female Human Lore Oracle 5

DM, has there been any response to Sophy's knock at the jewelers'?

Out of breath, Sophy lets her arms drop to her side as she turns around to survey the scene. Across the empty square, just moments ago filled with happy townspeople, she sees the flames spreading toward the sheriff's house. A brightly-colored flourish of fabric draws her attention, as she sees the glamorous dancer running north. To the south, the city guardsman -- Victor, she remembers his name now -- is still facing off against the torch-wielding goblin. From within her pocket, she hears the crinkle of the folded paper predicting all of this; you did this, it accuses. Not knowing what to do next, she slips her fingers in to touch the paper's edge.

1d3 ⇒ 3

As she touches it, she is suddenly filled with resolve. The guardsman came to her rescue, and she won't leave him in danger. She takes off running again, back in the direction she came from. Double move to BH73 "Are you all right?" she pants.

(Move to BH73) The sheriff reapears from the storage shed attached to his home and starts beating at the fire with a shovel. Father Zantus, Cyrdak and a line of towns folk have formed a line and are passing buckets to pour on the flames. The fire seems to no longer be a threat.

Sophy's arrival seems to have distracted Victor and the Goblin ducks under the swish of the warriors rapier. Brock pounds his maul down hard upon the warchanter whose eyes pop out from the force full blow that ends her life.

Eponine is going to continue to move north, off of the map. She'll stop if she catches sight of the dogs.

Eponine takes off at a full run, but pulls up short after traveling about one hundred feet.

Eponine:

Spoiler:
An armored Goblin with wicked looking pole arm is mounted on a disgusting ratlike dog. In front of the White Deer a noble man cowers behind some crates while a hunting dog stands between its master and the the mounted assailant. Across the road four more Goblins, fearing the dog, hide waiting for their champion to clear the way so they can attack.

Just keeping up with Eponine, as Wren doesn't know what to do.

Female Human Lore Oracle 5

Having reached Victor, Sophy isn't quite sure what she can do to help. A rudimentary sense of tactics suggests that if she can get around to the other side of the goblin, she might distract it and let Victor get in a killing blow. Holding her dagger in front of her defensively, she carefully skirts around to the east, giving the torch-wielding goblin a wide berth. Move to BK75, via BH74-75 & BI-BK76 to avoid AoO As she maneuvers, she catches sight of Brock standing over the crushed warchanter and sees that the fire appears to be almost extinguished without significant damage to the cathedral. A sense of buoyancy fills her as she begins to think that Sandpoint's ordeal might be almost over. "Run away, little goblin," she shouts, with a sudden rush of bravado. It appears that Sophy was the good luck charm that Victor needed. He maneuvers to the left and runs the pesky Goblin through. Blood burbles from its mouth as it slides of the rapier plunged into its heart and dies. Brock knows that fight is not over and rushes to the north, cutting his way between Sheriff Hemlock.s house and the storage shed. Eponine charges into the fray and puts herself into mortal danger, placing herself between the mounted Goblin and the trapped noble. The Goblin commando slashes at the dog again and blood splashes to the ground as the yelps one last time before it dies. With and evil stare the Goblin looks at Eponine and shouts, "Kill Um!" With the hunting dog dead the four Goblins cowering behind the building summon up the courage to attack. The first one circles around his leader and cautiously approaches Eponine's position. The next rushes at Eponine and slashes at her with its wicked Dogslicer just barley taking off her head. The next Goblin follows its brave buddy and wildly slashes at Eonine, but is not anywhere close to hitting her with its spastic slashing efforts. The last Goblin sees Wren and makes a dash in her direction.

For a moment, the weight of the world seems to come off her shoulders, as she thinks the day is won; then the joy slides away from her face, as she hears the sounds of renewed battle from the north. Wren blasts a force missile into the face of one of the Goblins surrounding Eponine and the citizen. Sophy pulls her crossbow and is ready to take aim. Victor moves up Church Street, also preparing another weapon. Brock runs as fast as he can in his heavy armor. Moving at a diagonal on the map has an increased cost. Your max move is 60 feet which puts Brock at AH96. Eponine thrust's her blade into the heart of the Goblin, killing it.

Screaming as its companion falls the next Goblin attacks Eponine with no effect. The other closes in standing over the fallen Goblin to press an advantage on his feisty opponent.
