Realizing, too late of course, that the large man blocks the only escape route, Victor senses his doom is imminent, Man are you toast. I said SHUTUP!, as he continues his battle with his conscious. "Okay, I would say it is not what it looks like, but I will not, because I really have no idea how to explain it away. So, I can see you are an understanding man, so, why do we not just call this a simple misunderstanding?"That's weak. He asks with an awkward, uncomfortable smile and half-baked laugh as he continues to sweat even more. "Let us pretend it never happened and you will not have to be bothered with me again. What say you?"Hope he doesn't kill you too bad. ARGH! Stop it!
C,mon, shotgun wedding! We've even got firearms rules begging to be playtested! ;)
I never got to run the Shayliss encounter with my other groups, the Role Play just never went that way, so this has been fun. Actually this is playing out very different than either of my other 2 groups. I am really enjoying it. A bonus 50 XP for everyone!
BTW, I have looked over the Firearms rules, and like them so if anyone is interested in having a character that goes that way, let me know and we might be able to work that into the game somehow.

I must be honest and say my nerves are shot, my gut is in knots, but I am enjoying the heck out of it!
It's quite funny to see that everyone else is going around and actually accomplishing something and here's Victor, caught with his, "pants down", I believe the phrase is. ;)
(Fortunately for him not literally, or this could be far more embarassing.) :o
I like that you are playing Sophy so emotional, it adds some depth to the character and is very fitting the way that she is involved with the town and the story.
I have a big test tomorrow so I wont be making a post tonight for the thread, I should have some time after the test to add a post, if Brock doesn't post by then I will move on with out one from him.
Gotta shout out Props to Victor and Eponine who leaped from the box without even asking how high up! I love it when characters act as they would act, without the player calculating the risk first! Awesome move!
Eppy does intense spell bonus damage apply to a force missle? Since it isn't a spell, I haven't been applying it.
I think it's ambiguous and up to DM adjudication. I ran an evoker a while back, and my DM ruled it applied to force missile but I wouldn't have argued if he'd ruled the other way.
Under the description of the class feature it says "Force Missile (Sp): As a standard action you can unleash a force missile that automatically strikes a foe, as magic missile. The force missile deals 1d4 points of damage plus the damage from your intense spells evocation power."
Well, I am just a dumbass then...I completely overlooked that! I will start adding that point in the future. That wouldn've been helpful against the gobbies.
I saw the other thread, before this one and quoted the PRD in the thread, YES Wren gets to add 1 point of damage for the force missile and I am accounting for it on this lone gobbo.

Was actually wondering if the goblin is dead? I figure if he's equal to the intial ones, he probably is.(Seeing how Wren has done 8 damage on it already.) Of course, he could be a "special" goblin and be like a superman goblin! :)
Good looking out, Javell. I miss things quite often!
I think that's my bad. I posted the XP for the battle in the main thread and then gave some role playing bonus in the OCC thread. I will try to make sure I post earned XP in the main story thread from now on.

Yes, unlike Dumah who would quickly work out elaborate plans to safely transfer everyone the necessary distance. Eppy is much more a leap before she looks kind of a character.

That's what makes it so much fun! (No matter how much it hurts.) ;)
I think that Sophy may be my favorite reluctant hero ever.
I like how she keeps getting forced into the spotlight. It's intensely uncomfortable for her, but eventually it will help her channel that Charisma and use it instead of just sitting back passively and letting everyone think, "What a sweet girl."
Of course, she's just getting used to confiding in Wren and Eponine. If Wren is cold to her, she's probably going to start crying again.... ;)
Wren really likes Sophy, but I picture Wren seeing the innate charisma of Sophy, since Wren comes from a long line of charismatic sorcerers. It's a bit like a bad re-remembering of her teenage years with her more glamorous sisters getting all the credit!
Someone is going to have to pay for Wrens therapy.

I've often thought that adventurers are a lot like contemporary celebrities or sports stars. That being the case, they are far more likely than average to need professional psychological help.
That explains where all their treasure goes and why they have to keep adventuring -- therapists' bills. Sane people would find enough treasure to live on and retire to live a life of ease instead of turning around and spending it all on better armor and weapons.
Enjoying the role playing that is going on with the characters. My next post will be set in the morning at the Garrison with Sheriff Hemlock. I hope to get it up soon, I just haven't had time with being sick, having a sick kid, and keeping up on school. Hopefully later today, but I'm not promising anything. Feel free to keep up the overnight/early morning role-play between characters and/or personal revelations.
Sorry for the delay gang, I had a relapse of a vicious stomach bug and it knocked me out for the last two days. Both kids have had it and now the my wife is down and out. I will try to keep things moving but it might be off and on the next couple of days.
I totally understand. Thursday evening I finally was able to bring my wife home from the hospital after six days in with pnuemonia. I hope every one is well soon!

Man, sorry to hear that guys. I truly hope you and your family(Mythril) and your wife(markofbane) get better quickly. My kiddos were sick last week. I see people everyday at my job and they are sick with some kind of something as well. Seems like this mess is everywhere.
Take your time, Mythril. Get you and yours well, buddy.
And you make sure that wife of yours is taken good care of, markofbane, you hear me young man! ;)
Thanks all, Family is doing better. I am glad to hear your wife is home Markofbane, that must be terribly worrisome. I will keep you and her in my thoughts and prayers.
As for AGE, I got my D&D teeth cut on the original RED BOX set so be careful when you throw around "young man" LOL ;)
Ugh. Here's hoping there's some hefty range modifiers...
Please check the map again. The labels of 1 and 2 mark the doors that Sophy is referring to. The group is closest to door 1 (the gallery). Door 2 (the office) is at the far end of the building. The window at G11 is nearer to the double doors on the back of the building and Sophy doesn't know what is behind that door. I just want to double check since the map is orientated with North to the left, and I want to make sure I understand correctly before posting. Thanks.
Yeah, north not being up almost threw me on that map. I went back to doublecheck the compassrose before submitting. That's one of my least favorite things that crops up in Paizo maps sometimes, along with ten-foot squares. :P

Mythril DM:
Any chance I could retcon and already have purchased a melee weapon from Savah? I(and when I say I, I mean ME) completely forgot to put that in my post. (Yeah, and here you're thinking it's Victor that forgets everything!) ;)
Or, if you think it might be more interesting for Victor to go without one,(because there is a part of me that would find that a bit intriguing) I can do that.
Question: If you go all day without doing anything extensive, how many hit points would you recover, if any?
And I don't mean resting in bed all day either. Just a normal day to day routine.
(Also, not including the hit point/level you gain overnight.)
Natural healing is the hit point /level you gain overnight. You don't gain any during the day extensive or not. Bed rest all day and night doubles the natural healing for the night.
Since nothing important was happening IC after the meeting with the sheriff a burned the time and picked it up this morning. The day was spent with the PC's out and about in town so you would have had time to stop by the armory and purchase a weapon. We don't need to role play it out unless you were wanting something unusual or unique. If it's just a standard players handbook weapon you can purchase it with a 15% hero worship discount. Just let me know what you want to get.
Also, why did Victor not ask for a cure spell at the temple after he fell in the theater? I am assuming it is because of his bravado and he is to proud to ask for magical healing for such a minor injury.
