Luce snigger at Sigvards' words, certainly this bard was funny as well as handsome. The thought jumped unconsciously to her mind before she could suppress it.
With a faint blush she cast her eyes down to the floor below, and feeling the heat rise in her cheeks.

Back. Obviously...
Rolled for Caine - not terribly well, but warlords are often like that.
"I don't need to be pretty," sneers Urgog. "I am majestic and powerful and we're going to carve out your tripes like ... like ... offal!"
"Oh, well said, my Lord", purrs the spider, flexing appreciative mandibles.

Luce's thoughts rise to the flush of her cheeks, she concentrates feeling the warmth drawing upon the emotion and externalising it. A warm ball of embarrassment leaps from her face and floats infront of her. Roiling and pulsing she send it towards Urgog, it contacts him and explodes into a ball of flame. "Lad, y' ain't powerful nor Majestic. And ya ain't reet grand at speaking either, couldn't e'en open a fete."
Luce taunts as she moves quickly towards the precipice trying to work out the best way to get down there.
Move: From J2 to D5
Standard: Flame Seed Vs U (ref) 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11. Damage 1d6 ⇒ 5
Hit: The squares adjacent next to target become a fiery zone TEOMNT. Any enemy entering or starting turn there takes 4 damage
Obviously Luce's embarrassment had affected her aim, despite it's intensity.

Assuming when you said "Varis is fine", meant he is hidden?
Varis, as is typical, is beat to the punch by Luce. She once again rushes forward, and he hurries to introduce a new threat to take some focus off of her. He looses a shot in the direction of the ugly one leading them, hoping to reap confusion and sow fear in those that are near him. If he can just hit, it should throw them off balance at least a little. After the shot, he moves closer back toward the stairs, keeping to the outside edge within the darkness. As long as he has shadow, he can try to keep to the darkness.
Standard, Scattering Shot on Urgog 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 8 + 2 = 15 (CA included), if it hits damage 2d10 + 5 + 2d6 ⇒ (9, 6) + 5 + (5, 6) = 31. If it missed and I was hidden from the target, I do not expend the power.
Effect: Each enemy adjacent to the target takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls (save ends). In addition, each enemy adjacent to the target is pushed 1 sq away from the target.
Move, 3 sq toward the stairs (can't see map at work) and re-hide, Stealth 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

Luce's attack singes Urgog a little, but Varis is less fortunate. Although he manages to shove aside one of the waiting cuthroats, his arrow makes no impact on Urgog himself. Worse, his movement reveals him to the watchers below.
Varis - you were hidden when you made the attack, so you don't expend it. Guessing the effect still happens regardless though.
Urgog marches out of the flames looking annoyed. "Who says I couldn't open a fete? Course I could. Done it last year for deprived goblins. Done it well."
He casts a glance up at Caine.
"If we're trading words, you don't look so tasty yourself."

Sorry, no. It missed Urgog. I thought the flame was an effect, but that would be a bit much on reflection for an at-will.

Spanglefang's many eyes glisten as she spins towards Luce and Sigvard, thoughtfully aiming a jet of poison at the pair of them. Unlikely as it seems, the spider seems uncommonly beautiful to both Luce and Sigvard and the temptation to move a little closer grows as the infection spreads around their bodies.
Poison Spittle (Will; close blast 3). On hit target takes 10 ongoing poison and with each failed save, Spanglefang can slide target 3 squares.

Disruptive Words, enemies within 5 grant CA, and there's a one time dazed(se) within it. A different one that stops enemies getting CA from flanking and has a 2d10 damage bonus from one attack. Both Dailies.

OK, they're all nicely spread out so I can't get them with my AOE spells. People, a bit of coordination if you don't mind! Use your slidey stuff to bunch them up, if you don't mind.
Move to K2, fire a Colour Orb at the big S. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 v Will, 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 damage and the target is dazed until the end of my next turn.

The poison courses through Luces veins making her feel slightly woozy, she staggers backwards and looks away from the giant scary spider. The amulet around her neck glows with a health green radiance and the sweet smell of fresh earth and flowers fills her nostrils. 'Of course me Gran's amulet. Glad of that I am.'
She decides that its probably best if she gets down the cliff rather than be dragged down by the spiders thread that has caught her ankle. Scrambling down the cliff into the threads, she tries to get to the floor.
"Reet, y' bloody stupid Usurper, let's see what you boot-licks do when y' fall." She calls out drawing upon the chilled sensation of her anger and flinging it towards Urgog. Seeing that she could end up in melee combat she shifts her form, muzzle extending and feet padding she turns into a hound.
Woot! I forgot I have an Amulet of Health! No damage, of course a failed save means I get dragged to the spiders maw!

Varis is away this weekend. If someone would like to take his turn for him, I'd be grateful as it's Urgog up next and I don't want to delay him.
Luce's amulet shields her from the poison coursing through her and she sends a warning shot towards Urgog as she transforms.
Luckily for her, Spanglefang is too distracted by Vondal's glowing orb to pull her any closer, but the shifter lass has had a narrow escape.
Don't reckon the slide thing works if Spangles is dazed. It's not specifically listed, but I can't see a dazed critter being able to notice and do anything about it.

I just saw the discussion for ToH. I was wondering why you thought I was away. Regardless, I don't know if it changes anything, but I would have gone for the spider since it is dazed providing CA, and if it's providing CA I would get a +2. Don't worry about the roll Luce, have you seen what I tend to get? Rolling a 7 is decent as far as what it could have been in my hands.

Is Sigvard on a higher bit of ground than his spidery friend? If so, I want to see what happens when 190 lbs of warrior with 60lbs of gear jumps down onto a spider.
If not, he'll charge anyway. Which I think requires backing up a couple of squares and then charging to C7.
Attack roll, 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 vs AC, 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 and Luce gets +2 to her next attack roll bsomnt.

Sigvard lands squarely on Spanglefang, taking the opportunity to kick the creature in the head as he lands.

The cut-throats make their way towards Kendall. C1 lands a sharp blow in the fleshy part of the knight's leg before shifting away.
Move, attack, shift (gobbo power) and he's not affected by the webbing.

didn't see anything previous for this encounter talking about web, i am assuming it is as I stated previously, DC 15 to cross or be restrained.
Kendall trudges forward into the webbing...
Athletics for J4 moving into J5
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
The seemingly implacable knight moves to flatten the cutthroat with brutal efficency.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 Ka-rit!
damage 18+ 1d12 ⇒ 2 20 damage and C1 is prone if he survived it.
Kendall then takes a short breath as he steps forward onto the cutthroat's neck.
Minor: Second Wind 30/38 +2 to all defenses

BACK! Hope you all missed me. Death of my hard drive means I have to rebuild about 8 years stuff from scratch, but back.
Kendall has no time or inclination to mess about with goblins, and the cut-throat is lucky to survive his bruising encounter with an enraged and armoured dwarf.
Still seemingly absorbed by Vondal's orb of hypnotic light, Spanglefang barely heeds the skald clinging to her head. She bites at him, but it is a half-hearted effort.
