If the enemy is still up, Linpu and Tetsuda attack the creature, he's doing a bit better at 9/16 hp, so he'll be fine for a bit.

Acid splashes onto the undead. It burns away the creature's rotten flesh.

Tetsuda moves in and bites at the creatures ankles, but it easily dodges out of the way. It does not move in time to Linpul's hammer, however. Her lucerne hammer collides with the creature's skull and rips the head from its body. The body twitches and it collapses to the metal floor.

The battle is over. Good job.

Again you see...

A large metal table is surrounded by odd-looking chairs in this room. To the west, what appears to be a transparent wall looks out over a strange desert valley. Four pillars support the fifteen foot-high ceiling, while dozens of crude images of a pickaxe made of a skull and bones have been painted onto the walls with some sort of ivory pigment along with several phrases in an unrecognizable language.

The markings on the wall are an alien language you do not understand. It seems simplistic and crude though. It is definitely not anything you have seen before. Maybe they are simple phrases, religious words, or names. You aren't sure.

The corpse's flesh seems to be knitting together, very, very, very slowly. Perhaps in about a day, it will be back to its original condition.

Noticing how the Dr. cannot seem to figure out the language, Linpul steps up.

"Sometimes it requires a bit of magic to do the trick Dr."

She winks before concentrating on the words. Her eyes glow for a bit before she stares at the writings.

He thinks for a moment then shakes his head. "How to keep something dead... not an area in which I like my mind to linger. From what I can determine, it will be back on its feet within 24 hours. Perhaps we should further disassemble the body... it may buy us time."

Solaria having taken the eyes, enters a state of meditation as she communes with the gods to seek redemption for the undead. You hear her speak, as if she is speaking for the creature itself. "You see the crimson sun above the desert. I and my companions, we are four-armed skeletons, Kasatha, buried beneath the sand, eternally rising, (after several hours). Take us behind the red door to the golden light, our salvation."

Once the rites are completed, Solaria turns to the companions, "You hear the souls yearning for peace, and the way we might achieve it. Can we undertake this journey, for I am sure the gods who gave us this message will look kindly on us, when it is our turn to stand before Pharesma." Linpul slides the brown keycard into the red door. It opens.

The air in this room seems to buzz and hum with energy. Strips of glowing rectangles light the room from above, while strange flickering windows line the east and west walls. A large glass topped circular table sits in the middle of the room. To the north sits a large metal desk covered with blinking lights, while a humming pillar of purple-and-black metal stands nearby, its sides flashing with tendrils of violet energy. A single golden panel flashes with a soft but incessant light on the side of this pillar. A thick layer of dust coats everything, diffusing the lights shining from the various surfaces, and many of the machines seem to be damaged, cracked, or otherwise ruined.

Female Gnome Hunter 6; Init +2; Per +13 low-light; AC 20/13 T/18 FF; HP 40/40; F +6, R +7, W +4

Linpul's eyes grow visibly wider at the sight of the technology.

"Oh come now Solaria, that is for the future. Let's deal with the now, the shiny, shiny now."

She wipes her sleeve over her mouth just in case she was drooling.

What is this? I've never seen anything like this before?

Linpul Engineering/Perception:
The strange purple and black pillar seems to be some kind of power source. It looks dangerous to get near it. The windows you believe are supposed to show images, but they are broken. The glowing golden panel easily attracts your attention. There is a single button there. Remembering the name of the room, "Habitat Controls" you believe these machines somehow "control" the habitat of the desert outside.

The glowing, golden panel has Androffan writing.

Androffan:
"Reset."

Looking down at Tetsuda she scratches his shell again.

"As the writing outside says, this is "habitat control" whatever that means. The golden, shiny, panel says "Reset" but what could it do? I say we press the button. Can we press the button, please pretty please with a silverdisk on top?"

Thera Engineering:
Thera's eyes are easily drawn to the glowing panel, but her lack of engineering knowledge and the strange Androffan writing prevents her from knowing what any of this does. It looks very important, however.

Thera's hand is pulled towards the button, and she presses it.

The room begins to whir and hum. You hear clicking and buzzing in the walls. Suddenly, the circular table in the center of the room is illuminated and an image of the desert, like an illusion, appears on it. The desert looks like the desert you passed through, with one exception. A crimson sun shrouded by dark gray clouds hangs over the dunes.

The purple metal pillar pulsates and flashes. The room's temperature becomes very warm.

Female Gnome Hunter 6; Init +2; Per +13 low-light; AC 20/13 T/18 FF; HP 40/40; F +6, R +7, W +4

The warm room has Linpul thinking.

"Perhaps we should have tried to fix some of the equipment first. Let me try my hand at it."

She rolls up her sleeves, pulls out some tools and dives toward the machinery.

Craft Mechanics: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17 +1 is from a guidance spell, I have the Technologist feat so I'm trained, but not very good at it. Any tiny repairs can be done with mending since I can do that forever. If it's disable device instead replace the +1 with a +7

A little of the heat dissipates after Linpul's tinkering. The heat does not seem to be coming from the room but outside. The inside of the room is still a sauna. The static disappears from one of the screens showing a view of the central ridge with the blood moon centered over it.

Female Gnome Hunter 6; Init +2; Per +13 low-light; AC 20/13 T/18 FF; HP 40/40; F +6, R +7, W +4

Seeing the image Linpul takes a closer look.

"Hmm, maybe it reacts to touch or sound? Any way to input anything? Well might as well try, if this doesn't work we head back to the white door and try the black keycard."

Linpul puts her hand on the screen and attempts to move the image with a finger. If it doesn't do anything she shrugs and head over to the white door with the black keycard in hand.

The image distorts a bit as Linpul passes her fingers through it. Nothing seems to happen though.

She stands in front of the white door and swipes the black keycard. The door slides open. The heat disappears as she moves to the next area.

A large metal desk with blinking lights and strange glowing panels sits atop a raised area on the east side of this room near a circular table. Two couches covered with black material sit to the south a pair of black metal pillars. Splatters of dried blood stain the floor and walls near a pair of doors to the north, while here and there patches of rust-red mold and fungus cling to the southern wall. The room itself is brightly lit by glowing panels on the ceiling.

There are two sets of doors: Double doors to the North, and a single door behind the large desk.
