Uriah Lewis |
I like that Muga has respect for martial prowess and weapons, however...How would he even know that the weapon needed charges? Or how to recharge it, or what type of power source it used? Did Kulgara tell him? Did he ask?
Muga |
If you want to stop naturally assuming that Muga who tends to take every opportunity to slash enemies will help you fight people, I will stop naturally assuming that Uriah who tends to take every opportunity to identify items will identify items once time is no longer a factor.
Uriah Lewis |
I'm not entirely sure what you mean....If you are saying that you assumed that Uriah would tell you, then perhaps an in character post to some effect of "Hey, How does this work?" should be in order. But yes, don't assume that Uriah would tell you about anything.
Yvell Endymion |
I'm going to simply say this. Uriah you and your character are simply ignorant to the past actions and the character that is Yvell or the others as such is likely the way you think so. That is fine. In response to your standing, if such is to be assumed, then Yvell will make the appropriate actions needed. Which could include simply picking the spell up. As far as knowledge of Technology Yvell knows and has prior knowledge. If you have problems and that view is not shared then I suppose you can have them. I move things along as needed, if your character doesnt give input then it is assumed. "
It was time to see if his theory was correct, He wished to visit Meyanda first.
Yvell takes the opportunity to visit The Dwarfess and Cleric second, telling them of the information they have received and the return of Divnaya.
He notes Kulgara's silence as odd and tries to gather why she may be this way. Perhaps this was normal in Orc culture or she was a curious about Hellion's undoing as himself.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23
Are we still level 5?
GM Demonmoose |
You may all level up to 6.
Muga and Yvell have had/learned some knowledge with technology. Living in Torch, or talking with the other adventurers, they've all learned something. Charges should be easy to figure out, a bunch of light bars on the handle or barrel of the weapon.
Since this is the end of the book, Uriah can freely identify any unidentified items.
Uriah heads to the tavern. It is quite lively in contrast to the rest of the town. Khonnir Baine, a middle aged wizard with technological gadgets at his belt, is working behind the bar, while his daughter, a Kellid girl is handing out drinks. She also has different gadgets in her jumpsuit.
------------
Kulgara seems reticent due to her defeat. Perhaps she is plotting or holding in her anger for later use, is what Yvell senses from her.
Yvell goes to Dolga Freddert's machine shop, as the town hall is closed for the night. She doesn't have much to say about the town or what transpired in Scrapwall. As an older adventurer, she's seen similar things before. She gets a trusty worker to run to the town hall to fetch your reward. She hands Yvell 8,000 gold in several bags.
Escorting Dinvaya to the church, Joram Kyte, the old cleric of Brigh greets you. "Ah, you've come back. And brought my dear friend, too."
What is Muga and Valtrya doing?
Muga |
Muga has three objectives upon his return. Go with Yvell to see whether Meyanda still has divine powers. Check upon Mitsu to ensure his wards' well being. Challenge Kulgara to a duel. Given Yvell's goal, I imagine Mitsu would be first, then Meyanda, then Kulgara.
Muga |
Probably closer to eight, if Muga is comfortable leaving Mitus alone.
Also, I was wondering how shopping tends to work in this adventure. Are magical items assumed available, or do you have to have a crafting skill to get what you want? I'm thinking of taking Amateur Swashbuckler, but if I can't easily purchase Plumes of Panache to serve as my Pearl of Power level 1, there's not much point.
Speaking of selling, Muga heads around town to sell the following goods
4 mwk leather armor
4 mwk bucklers
4 daggers
4 gunslinger's pistols with 20 bullets
2 silverdisks
4 vials of pink gel (Soothe)
He looks for an alchemist or mage for the last one, hoping that the gel has some value as a subject of research.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Yvell Endymion |
Does anyone have a loot total for each character? She will stick with Yvell for now.
Doing so as we speak
Yvell Endymion |
Muga, I'm fine with that course of action I'll just post of whatever is appropriate at the time, Yvell will assist you at selling your equipment as well.
Yvell nods to Joram and introduces the Elf. " Yes Brighan priest, Sir Joram, this is indeed your friend. She was rather.. hesitant to return due to some.. personal reasons but finally decided to come back to you. I suppose there was no Issue in Torch I should know of? "
Yvell seemed slightly frustrated and clearly showed it upon his face but held back any other words he might have been thinking.
-----------------------------
At Meyanda & Co
From Dolga Yvell would eventually figure out where Meyanda was stationed and approach he much as he always did, with stern kindness. Kulgara in tow he would imply question her. " Hello Meyanda, we have returned. I must ask.. do you feel any different? "
---------------------------
Meeting Mitsu
Yvell was unaware of Muga's charge and would be surprised at such a fact making sure the child was in well to do health.
GM Demonmoose |
Paizo was down, my post got eaten up. Let's see what I can remember.
Probably no Plumes of Panache in Torch. Torch is a mining/smithing town not known for trade. You can find some in Starfall as they sell all manner of magical items.
--------------------------
"There were no problems in Torch while you were gone. The android priestess was docile." Joram Kyte turns to Dinvaya. "Come, my friend. You may stay at the temple for now. We will find a dwelling for you soon enough."
Dinvaya and Joram head deep into the temple.
-----------
Meyanda stares at you through the bars, her alien eyes cold and menacing. "Different? I am the same, elf. He spoke to me in a vision. Did you really think you could defeat a god?"
---------------------
"Tsuyoshi-san, daijoubu desu ka? You were gone for a very long time, this time. Where did you go? Oh, you brought people here. Are these your tomodachi? A young waifish boy with dark hair in a pony tail says to you meekly. He tries to cover a scar and burnt hair with his hand.
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell gave a nod, " Then I shall leave you all to your devices, I hope the reunion is enjoyable. I plan on visiting you in the morn Master Kyte on a another matter that way we can tell you much about the.. situation "
----------------------
Yvell raises an eyebrow to Meyanda's accusation, " He came to you in a dream? What did he say, did he damn us, call us monkeys? "
Yvell seemed truly concerned.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (2) + 14 = 16
----------------------
" I am Yvell Dullahan Endymion, I traveled and fought with Muga.. yes, " The Half-Elf Paladin being very proper with his remark as the younger boy seemed nervous.
Muga |
"Haha! I knew he had an escape planned. For all we know, maybe when he takes over a body, he doesn't leave the old body behind. Maybe he copies himself each time. Good! I look forward to round two! Perhaps he'll find a stronger body!"[/b] Muga's laugh and excitement seem genuine.
~~
Muga has a slight twitch, or perhaps flinch, as the name Tsuyoshi is used, but he tilts his face to the side to hide it from Mitsu. "Daijoubu desu." He answers almost reflexively to the question, quickly getting back into stride.
"Scrapwall. Lovely place, for my kind. I wouldn't recommend visiting to you." Muga takes a seat, pausing for a moment before continuing, with a bit of a sigh and reluctance. "I don't actually like any of them, and I find their motivation irritating.. Being around them seems to sap my spirit more and more the longer I stay with them. But, their fighting protected this place. So they get a pass."
I spent far too much time deciding which one to two word response I would use. Haven't used all those dusty Japanese books in forever. :P
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell gave Muga a sidelong glance at his amusement, " Maybe he set her a message before he perished, we were quite thorough with the search "
" Regardless It holds little sway on the decisions here, they will come about. Meyanda, do you remember Zagmaander? You had promised to free her of her curse. Do you still feel up to that? "
-------------------------
Yvell finds the disconnect slightly frustrating, he fakes an amused face however, " Hrrmph, you like to seem tough in front of this child, your ferocity is no less powerful than mine in battle you just seem less accurate. Know, little one, we took care of your 'Tsuyoshi-san' and does well in a group. When he tries to do something on his own is where trouble happens. As an ally I'll give him a pass as well. "
The last part said in a similar mocking tone.
I've had Japanese for years, Translating projects and a few language partners increase steady fluency somewhat.
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell's masked expression twitches, " Are you comparing me to a cornered Animal? My spirit somehow lacking to YOURS? "
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell quirked a brow somewhat embarrassed, he twitches and sighs, " I assumed your statement was connected the my own previous statement in a negative manner. You can understand my mistake considering your.. normal retorts. "
GM Demonmoose |
With Meyanda and Kulgara
Meyanda doesn't answer your questions about Hellion. Her lips curl into a slight smile at Yvell's concern.
"That creature is still alive? You did not kill it, despite how evil it is? Is it not foolish of you, paladin, not to 'vanquish' evil?" Meyanda's features become neutral. "Will you allow this creature to hunt more?"
-----------------------
With Mitsu
Most of the time spent with Mitsu is him talking with Muga, gossiping about every little thing he has done in Torch. He plays with some of the children, stares at the forges and the weapons at the market, and plans to be a metal smith someday, forging his own katana.
He makes sidelong glances at Yvell and Valtyra, averting his gaze whenever your eyes meet his. When he gets tired, he excuses himself and goes into a small side room, laying down on a mat.
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell sighs, " Just because a creature is evil is not becuse to stoop to the same tactics and mindset as them, That is how you create more evil. She had suffered for what I presume is a long time. That is a learning experience. Even without such a excuse, my word is important to follow to myself. I promised such and just as I saw hope in you or Kulgara.. I see so in Zagmaander. We gained, if nothing, her respect. Acts of kindness are often seen as weakness but they are distinct in the fact that anyone acknowledges the presence of them."
Muga |
"Uh... Distinct? I'm pretty sure anyone would acknowledge the presence of me killing you right here, right now, for example." Muga's tone is not aggressive as a threat, but more using his most common "non-kind" deed as an example. Talk what you know!
"Also pretty certain she never agreed to your, "stop eating people" requests. But might just be my contrary spirit, I wasn't paying much attention to her when we weren't fighting."
Yvell Endymion |
We did, sorta. Everytime It seemed people ether ignored the casting question or Yvell's words... Dinvaya or whoever.
Yvell Endymion |
I'm talking about Dinvaya.. I asked if she could cast spells to free things. Meyanda specifically is avoiding the question. And she did respond to Yvell's declaration either
Yvell looked to Meyanda once more " That leads back to one thing, you owe Zagmaander a debt which we want to clear as well... can you even cast spells anymore? "
Yvell makes sure to note anything odd in hr behavior
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (11) + 14 = 25
Yvell Endymion |
I have no issue with that, what was your plan if you die? As for the equipment likely half price save for the Soothe as that is a narcotic. And the Guns are... real cheap as they are gunslinger guns.
Valtyra Brightsong |
Sorry busy weekend. I will remove the curse from Zagmannder now that im 6th. Trying to convince her to remain on our side and work for the good of all.
Diplo: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (15) + 18 = 33
Yvell Endymion |
Appropriate, you've invested alot in Muga it would be hard to get similar from another character. If however the game isnt that interesting to stay after, such a decision is fine as well. Yvell will help Val but he wont force the issue on a creature that is made of evil. Good job Val for being able to dispel the curse however.
GM Demonmoose |
What does Valtyra say to Zagmaander to try to convince her? Do you want to head back to Scrapwall to remove the curse, and/or duel with Kulgara? Or we can do a retcon and remove the curse from Zagmaander before you head back home to Torch?
Dinvaya just ignored you. She has no interest in healing, or helping evil outsiders. Only technology.
Yvell Endymion |
Right, which I remember correctly we tried diplomacy. As long as she wouldn't be broken in that ideal. If that is the case I guess we just did it ourselves. Muga can have his duel.
Muga |
Muga would also like a private word with Zagmaander.
Set after we remove the curse.
"I've got something of a proposition for you, Zagmaander. You interested in talking away from the more...." Muga inclines his head towards the others. "Saintly minded?"
Yvell Endymion |
It would depend on if what Muga has in mind could be seen as harmful or shady to Yvell. So at the least he would note you've done this before and it ended... differently. IE sense motive.
Muga |
GM Demonmoose |
Yvell knows that it is shady, also he has a feeling it does not affect his deal/promise with Zagmaander.
As Valtyra cures Zagmaander, the Xill shakes her head. "I do not remember anything of this goodness to be a part of our deal. What happens to this plane is none of my concern, whether I cause hardship or not."
The Xill's body begins to heal, the strange wounds disappear and Zagmaander looks stronger and healthier. You can see that the curse was more than just keeping her locked in this realm. She moves to the side to speak with Muga. "What do you want, human?"
Muga |
"Well, before that becomes important, the question of whether you have any intention of sticking around or visiting this plane again must be asked. I care just as little about your plane as you care about this one." Muga continues.
Yvell Endymion |
Yvell simply gave a nod to Zagmaander, " Then so be it. I hope you remember us vividly. Especially me, my kind do not die quickly and this 'weakling' doesnt not plan on simply staying that way for long. Let's hope we meet on.. pleasant terms. "
Yvell's eyes linger on Muga, but otherwise he says nothing.
