Activity meant pacing and frequency of posts as well as interest in the game Hayato Ken. We as a group start later than all the other groups but finished second, only because for a moment we slowed from Derlin's sudden disappearance and general Holiday responsibilities. And we went the way of unknown knowledge when it came to the game its just we were so active it resolved at a pace about as fast as a face to face game. Lost of RP happened in there as well.

On the map the only thing I see wrong would be the positioning of the players as everyone is inside the keep and Aeron was closer to the Smilers.

I see. We were quite active yes.
Roleplay was also quite good.

Auehda asked for the map and i would like to use a map too.
Theater of mind can be good, but for orientation maps are just better.
Makes a lot less confusion for movement, positioning, flanking and also a lot easier job for anyone who wants to cast.

Since the map is freely accesible, everyone can move herself.
Really not much work...

Im either or.. The other groups dont use maps so trying to make the GM use maps would be pushing it though if we do it all ourselves thats fine. Im not particularly on one side o the other for this.


I´m just making a point for it and actually offered to take the job ;)
I know it can be difficult to GM, especially online with many groups.
Since i plan to GM this later too, i don´t mind the work and it makes my life as a caster player a lot easier. That´s why i offer it.
Also i subscribed the AP´s and have all that maps already in an extra file, where i don´t need to look into the book.

Ultimately it´s of course the GM´s decision if he wants to take up the offer.

I played a caster through an AP without maps before in RL. The GM was really good and had a very powerful storytelling. However there was a real lot of time spend on talking about who is where and can do what. Still, there were a lot of misunderstandings about positionings and what is possible or not. That´s just kind of unavoidable.
A map clears that all up and makes decision making a lot easier, faster and better. Everyone knows where (s)he´s at, where the rest is and what can be see or how far away it is.
That way it´s easy to decide which spell can be used or not, who´s in the way or not. You don´t need to ask and wait for answers if something is unclear. Just my humble opinion^^


It's fine if Ibuki wants to start setting up maps. I will start combat with the actual map more in mind. You may also think of it as a rough guideline.

Short note on the map:
On top are several pics, above the line. That´s the menu actually.
Our characters are second from right and Iron God monsters first from right. Third from right i´m planning to add spell effects.
Please ignore the other three to the left, they are maps and for PFS games i run. If you double click on the thumbnails up there, the menu opens and you can choose different pics, clicking on them brings them top, where they can be dragged on the map then.
Double clicking on icons on the map opens another menu, where you can delete the items from the map or make them more see-through.

Aeron, always the latest map should be the one up to date, since it gets updated while people move.
Of course actions get posted out of initiative, but get solved in initiative.
There is one freestanding enemy you can charge...and probably kill.

GM, I was under the impression that a flare gun's ammunition was "small." Can I change my move to be on top of the wall if not?

Flare gun is a dangerous weapon, maybe find some way to make a reusable Flaregun? Also Auehda you are right about the prone condition, has to be lethal though not sure if the enemies failure was bad enough to take lethal or non-lethal.. ether way. Maybe the GM can think up something for you later?

I don't mind it being non-reusable really . . . it's not too expensive. Just want to avoid cover because it sucks :u

It looks like the height was 10' up because the guy who failed his check took only 1d6 (and since it was an intentional jump that first d6 is nonlethal). Muga is also only going to take nonlethal, if I'm reading it right.

In light of them not being prone though they're probably actually like 30 ft away from the wall, and then they'll get another 120 feet this upcoming turn if the terrain is amenable.

Well it kinda is.. because we cant make them and I dont think they are easily found to buy.

Hrm I had forgot about that, ah well we will see what happens, they probably wont Flat out run because that would provoke from Muga and it the other is Paralyzed.. well it'll be over. Even if they do, dex becomes gone and you could then hit them with your Flaregun pretty easy.

Depends on where Muga jumped, I think (possible that jumping down next to one would provoke from it as well). But yeah, if they can't run it should be v. easy.

Even if they run its easy.. Your Range is like.. 240 ft. Which case if it hits they are boned.

It wont be me I dont have the feats really and Im not a fullcaster or a Fighter I dont make up for the usage with class abilities or Spells. As I would have to take both Technologist and the feat and Neither would do much before that time when I could be helping the party MUCH better.

And Yes I know about the 20% miss chance which is pretty low and just makes it fair considering the flare burns you until you take it out. Which stops running if you want to live.

Yeah, Crafting is generally the easiest for wizard and a select few classes because they get them for free.


I´m mainly taking the technologist feat because i planned to go into the technomancer prestige class. Otherwise i don´t know if i would have taken the feat. It´s pretty good for rogues though and the technology guide rogue archetype gets it for free at first level.

Crafting technological items has nothing to do with magic.
You need a technological laboratory and power, then make a skill check, most times kn:engineering. So everyone with the appropriate feats and a laboratory can do it. The GM already hinted at those being provided somewhere in the AP, around book 3.

Wizards don´t get those feats for free, they can choose them instead of other feats. Of course it brings some other advantages.
I actually considered to take craft rod because of all the metamagic.

Anyway i´m a bit torn between different feats and not fully decided yet.
It´ll also be dependant on how the story turns out. Crafting robots could be something interesting for me eventually, or just use undead. We´ll see.

Well using undead.. I dont really have to say.

It kinda does because if your gonna craft you augment those items with magic and since spells are your main power the feats matter less. And if you get feats as bonus feats they are by definition free.. a bonus. Im saying unless you have access to such things OR need relatively little to function (Two hander) generally your feats are being used to augment your abilities or effectiveness.

Oh yeah the miss chance hurts the most. It's still pretty useful, though - even if you miss it still impacts and has a chance to blind them.


I meant the ammo for the flare gun is a small rocket, not a bullet, and will probably have a chance to hit the bars of the portcullis if you fire it any distance away from it. It would provide cover unless you're standing right by it.

They aren't going to make opportunity attacks because they are holding pistols.

Thats not the issue, they count as having the broken condition for anyone but the Gunslinger. So that wont do anything. And the only way to 'fix' it is to basically use about half the cost of the ACTUAL weapon to make it useful to others.

Also gotta love arcane caster theories x Divine caster theories.. Too bad Yvell isnt less bright.

He isnt skinny.. nor a drama queen.. At all.. he has a trigger much like any other person. something that pisses him off to no end, Ibuki is straddling one of them too but he is an ally.

I dont RP it too much but you will notice Valtyra talking to "herself" from time to time. She is usually talking to her ghost. She has the curse Haunted.
I'm also trying to bring in some of her backstory. Which will explain more of her, i hope.

At this point it might be good to know who knows what about ghosts and who doesn´t and what we know overall.

I rolled for kn:religion and had a 26, that´s why i shared some very basic information. Everything more like knowing about the reforming would be a bit too much metagamy for my taste, untill we know about it for sure from some ingame source.
