Despite being a jerk to Liz just there, Chakos will aid in that effort.
"I've heard of these contraptions made of metal alligator teeth and transmutton magic. These are very deadly weapons outlawed by my clan for their utter cruelty."

Astra also examines the area, focusing on Kulgara and Draigs, since she already examined the room itself on the day before. Do the two enemies have any significant possessions? She will also use Detect Magic.
red fire symbol grenade

magical chainsaw
composite longbow (+4) with 20 arrows
green access card
10 silverdisks
49 gp

Astra will especially take the keycard. If nobody else will, she's okay with taking the grenades too. "So if Kulgara was one of the Lords of Rust, let's take a tally so far. Meyanda, the android back in Torch was another. There was Helskarg, the troll we fought in the arena", Astra suppresses a shudder, "Marrow, the hobgoblin necromancer. Birdfood, leader of the Smilers. I'm not sure all of them were counted among the Lords of Rust, though. We also know of Nalakai, the orc cleric upstairs and Draigs, the ettin here, but they seemed more underlings. Am I forgetting anyone important?"

Opening the nearby rooms, the party finds nothing of interest. There are small stores of food and water, at least something that might be food, matching the brown muck of the Steel Hawks' fare. It looks like there may have been people here, but the inhabitants are long gone.
The eastern half of this room appears to be some sort of workshop, with all manner of metal working tools hanging from the walls over junk-strewn tables. To the west, a sagging cot sits against a partially crumpled metal wall next to a two-foot-tall metal cabinet. Dozens of empty tubes from which strange fluid drips lie in a heap atop the chest. What looks like a partially completed and crudely constructed mechanical marionette machine slumps against a metal cage-like frame at the foot of the cot.
Astra notices the green colored keycard device on the side of the cabinet and slides the green access card through it.
Loot-Inside the cabinet:
magical dagger
244 silverdisks
pouch of cracked and flawed gemstones (17 gemstones)
a green e-pick
a power cable
stack of papers in a notebook
a timeworn bulky bracelet with blinking blue lights

"Yeah? And earlier when checking out a similar heap, I recall being attacked viciously. But it seems caution is to be ignored."
Chakos heads on to check out the pool. As he approaches, he tosses in a coin, and makes a wish.

You need to climb down probably using a rope to get down to that level. It is about 20 feet down.
A forest of foul-smelling, dripping stalactites hang over a larger bubbling pool of noxious fluid in this cave. Some of the stalactites have grown all the way down to the surface of the fluid. Above, calcified ribbons trace the path these slowly dribbling fluids have taken over the years from the partially buried metal structure that looms to the north.

Astra nods at Elizabeth's words. "The descent seems a bit hazardous. Why risk it when we have alternative routes available? I'm with Elizabeth, let's try the west doors out of the battle room." Unless there are objections, Astra heads back into the room where we fought Kulgara and Draigs, and opens the double doors to the west.
In the back of her head, she keeps reprocessing the words she absorbed from Kulgara's papers. Excavator? Massive amounts of power? What are the Iron Gods? Is Hellion one of them? As well as its foe, Source/Prime? What about this 'Unity', is it yet another Iron God? They seem to have been born in some sort of order, and have formed some sort of hierarchy. A pantheon, if you will. Yet, I've never heard of them. I am such a failure, I should have studied more. And this 'Casandalee'? She -- although it may be presumptive to infer gender from a name -- as a prophet seems to be not an Iron God but a servant. And what does the town of Iadenveigh have to do with the Iron Gods? She glances at the rest of the group. They don't seem to be all that interested in all of this...an entirely new pantheon, it is like discovering a new continent, but they... She sighs and straightens her shoulders. "Ready to go?"

"As ever! If I get my butt handed to me, you owe me another sandwich Astra!"
