Female Human

50 1d8+1 charges lets Chakos use Life Link more often, but party member's choice

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

If the rest of the party really wants that CLW wand I won't object, but I note that it's up to Demonmoose whether one would be even available. Personally I'm not overly fond of the "magic item Wal-Mart" where you can just walk into a shop and buy such items.

The game (and the APs) tend to assume that certain basic items will be available, and it provides a mechanic to decide when they are and such.

With all of that said, I too could throw money into the pot in support of purchasing a CLW wand.

In general using Life Link tp push the damage to Chakos is a great plan, as every dice of healing he gets an extra 2 HP of healing from it, but obviously it leaves people with small amounts of damage, since Life Link won't take less than 5 HP of DMG.

Now, my big dilemma comes at level 3. My plan had been a 2nd level of Paladin to gain Lay on Hands, which effectively will add another 4 CLW per day to the party. My alternate choice would be to take a 2nd level of Oracle, which will give me 1 more Life Link. I'm still thinking the Paladin Route is best. After that, I'd be going with 3 more levels of Oracle, so that at 6th, I am Oracle 4/Paladin 2. I'd have a good Channel from the Oracle levels, 4 Life Links, and the channeling power of a 5th level cleric (so 3d6 channels), and then most likely Paladin from there on.

Male Orc (AC: 16 [T: 12 FF: 14] | HP: 25/25 (0NL) | F+4, R+4, W+0) | Init: +2 |Perc: +5, Darkvision 60’)// Brawler 2

I agree with Astra. I'd rather spend money on objects that don't run out over time. One extra day of healing won't hurt us.

Rolling for the cloak 1d20 ⇒ 1
Guess it's definitely not mine.

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

As far as I can tell, our hit points as we emerge from our second expedition are as follows (based on your undername lines):

Argug 14/25
Chakos 12/15
Sneek 16/20
Elizabeth 8/16
Astra 13/18

After resting overnight, we should recover our character level (2) in hit points, after which we'd be at:

Argug 16/25
Chakos 14/15
Sneek 18/20
Elizabeth 10/16
Astra 15/18

Astra will use two Cure Light Wounds on the most injured ones, Argug and Elizabeth.

Cure Light Wounds/Argug: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Cure Light Wounds/Elizabeth: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

That would put us at

Argug 21/25
Chakos 14/15
Sneek 18/20
Elizabeth 14/16
Astra 15/18

One more for Argug

Cure Light Wounds/Argug: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Argug 25/25
Chakos 14/15
Sneek 18/20
Elizabeth 14/16
Astra 15/18

After resting a second night, we should gain another 2hp

Argug 25/25
Chakos 15/15
Sneek 20/20
Elizabeth 16/16
Astra 17/18

Good to go on the second morning?

Female Human

Khonir:Oh my agony! Why won't anyone help me? I have been suffering here so long! ;)

Edit: A few healing potions would probably be okay to buy.

Female Human

Looks like the cloak is Liz's. *Wears the cloak and swishes it around*

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

Cloak: 1d20 ⇒ 19

*grabs it from your shoulders* Nyah nyah!

I am such a b$@@@.

On the previous day Chakos could have assisted with the healing to get us all fixed up.

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

I'll take 1hp of healing from Chakos and that should put us all at full, then.

Male Human Medical Doctor - Steadfast Hit Points: 26/26; Dodge: 50/25/10; Listen: 20/10/4; Spot Hidden:58/29/11; Luck: 21; Sanity: 45; Default Reaction: Dodge

There's no such thing as 1 hp of healing!

Female Human

Band-aids?

Edit: Everyone also remember that your MW weapons have arrived.

Blue is the farthest. Red is fighting the kasatha skeletons. Green and Orange are fighting the purple tentacle "ghelarn." Orange is still at level 1 and has not returned to Torch. Red has also not returned to Torch.

Green has made a repair drone "friend." They also mostly won money at Silverdisk Hall.

Did we settle on another 100gp each?

Female Human

Yea, everyone got 100 gp from selling stuff

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

Everybody also remember to put your hit points to full.

Female Human

Chakos, don't forget you have a Masterwork Greataxe for +1 to hit.

Female Human

Sneek might look into saving for Daredevil Boots So he can flank more and get sneak attacks to boost his damage. If you want to toss daggers and such, a Blinkback belt Saves money on throwing daggers.

Female Human

Treasure list(assuming armor is left behind)

6 silverdisks
36 gp
3 mwk bucklers
3 screaming bolts
3 brown keycards
3 hand crossbows
20 bolts.

Female Human

So I certainly think we should head back until we get something that can help us against the gargoyle. Buying oils of magic weapon and spells are a must since we have no magic weapons.

Female Human

Treasures. Just shout out if you want something

6 Silverdisks (60 gp)
36 gp
3 MWK Bucklers (246 gp)
3 screaming bolts (400 gp)
3 Hand crossbows (1 given to Chakos)(75 gp)

Male Human Medical Doctor - Steadfast Hit Points: 26/26; Dodge: 50/25/10; Listen: 20/10/4; Spot Hidden:58/29/11; Luck: 21; Sanity: 45; Default Reaction: Dodge

Heck, I'll take a hand crossbow, that's a typical "drow" weapon, right? Were there bolts to go with it?

Female Human

20

Dibs! And Aroden help us if I need to use this silly thing!

Female Human

6 Silverdisks (60 gp)
36 gp
3 MWK Bucklers (246 gp)
3 screaming bolts (400 gp)
3 Hand crossbows (1 given to Chakos)(75 gp)
20 bolts (Chakos)

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

Astra would have wanted to do a thorough check of the rooms we had cleared before leaving. Take 20 on searching and so on. Anything to be found in the rooms we cleared?

You saw a bunch of bunk beds, a bathtub, sink and toilets inside those rooms directly outside of the gargoyle room. The southwestern door seemed to lead back to the entrance using a different pathway.

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

Okay, but not much of either informational value, or monetary value?

The half-orcs and ratfolk have made a big mess of the rooms. There's nothing useful.

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

Gotcha, thanks. Back to Torch it is then.

So everybody, Magic Weapon, Smite Evil and elemental damage would seem to be our best bets against the gargoyle. I plan on trying out my Zapper Wand which might do electricity damage, how about everyone else?

Male Human Medical Doctor - Steadfast Hit Points: 26/26; Dodge: 50/25/10; Listen: 20/10/4; Spot Hidden:58/29/11; Luck: 21; Sanity: 45; Default Reaction: Dodge

I've got ye olde smite.

The question is, do we focus all guns on the gargoyle until he drops, or does someone handle the ratfolk first, so we don't have a gnat bugging us while we work?

I'm glad Astra wasn't drowning, but I did get a chuckle out of having CHakos interpret her as doing so.

Female Human

6 Silverdisks (60 gp)
36 gp
3 MWK Bucklers (246 gp)
3 screaming bolts (400 gp)
3 Hand crossbows (1 given to Chakos)(75 gp)
20 bolts (Chakos)

Everyone gets 204 gp!

Liz will buy a potion of Magic Weapon and a potion of CLW (100 gp total)

We can probably handle the ratfolk as we see it. Depends on what happens.

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

Wouldn't it be more cost effective for Elizabeth to get a scroll of Magic Weapon and scribe the spell?

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

Hang on, how did you do the math so that five people get 204gp?

60+36+246+400=742

742/5=148gp4sp

Female Human

I forgot someone.

Taking the ooc stuff over here...

I think we need to wait and see before commenting on tech items in general...let's not rush to any conclusions. :)

I'll go ahead and roll my level 3 HP.

Paladin: 1d10 ⇒ 2

Awesome!

So at third level, I have taken Extra Revelation as my Feat, and I chose Misfortune.

Misfortune wrote:
Misfortune (Ex): At 1st level, as an immediate action, you can force a creature within 30 feet to reroll any one d20 roll that it has just made before the results of the roll are revealed. The creature must take the result of the reroll, even if it's worse than the original roll. Once a creature has suffered from your misfortune, it cannot be the target of this revelation again for 1 day.

So how do we want to work the mechanics of that for a PBP game? At a table, if I saw a roll I didn't like I'd point it out immediately. On a PBP game, the ability becomes a bit tough to run.

Can I propose that for my compatriots they can each choose their own d20 each day to reroll?

As for bad guys, maybe we just agree that their first attack or save that is made within 30' of me that is a 15+ they just reroll it? I'm like a Pugwampi!

Female Human

I will roll as well.

HP: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Your suggestion sounds good.

Was looking at the ability since it looked a little OP. It is an immediate action, so you can only use it once per round. It also uses up your swift action for the next turn, and maybe your opportunity attack. Not completely sure about the last one.

We can run it as once per round if a monster that looks particularly dangerous, rolls a 15+ then they reroll, or one of your allies can hijack it for their turn in a round, whichever happens first.

Male Human Medical Doctor - Steadfast Hit Points: 26/26; Dodge: 50/25/10; Listen: 20/10/4; Spot Hidden:58/29/11; Luck: 21; Sanity: 45; Default Reaction: Dodge

AOOs aren't Swift Actions, so no problem there.

Since I'm usually on fairly often, how about I make the call when to activate it then?

Female Human

So let us investigate the items Astraa found. What loot did you get?

Female Human

Treasure found:
30 tubes of goo

Male Orc (AC: 16 [T: 12 FF: 14] | HP: 25/25 (0NL) | F+4, R+4, W+0) | Init: +2 |Perc: +5, Darkvision 60’)// Brawler 2

Hey guys, I don't think I'll be able to continue this game. I apologize, but I have had a bunch of stuff come up in my life recently that's just eating into my time to the point where I can't update with the regularity I used to. I'm sorry. I will leave my character profile untouched so you can divvy up his stuff as you please, if you wish. Again, I'm really sorry about this.

It is no problem. Thank you for playing and for taking the time to post your withdrawal. Good luck to you.

But who will share sandwiches with me?

Female Human

Thanks for playing with us, now who will Liz cast Enlarge on?

Argug, to clarify, I know sometimes we post multiple times a day. The expectation really is just once per day.

Love to have you stick with us.

Female Human (Kellid) Bard (Archaeologist) 7 (HP 47/47 | AC 20 | Fort +2 Ref +5 Will +5 | Initiative +0 | Perception +13)

Agreed, you wouldn't need to post as much as the more zealous of us do. :)
