It depends on how you read Quick Draw. It says that drawing a weapon becomes a free action. But stowing a weapon is not explicitly mentioned by the talent, it is normally a move action while dropping it is always considered free ...

A word from the GM on this topic would be nice I think.

ranged weapons are evil! and I figure that we don't have a proper way to hold the weapon or so (and no maglock to link it to my missing ceramite armor :P)

Okay, but why not just hold one in each hand? We are all ambidextrous and the weapons are not two-handed weapons.

Attack and parry with the maul bc it's power field will shatter (75 percent chance) non power field weapons. But I get the balanced part helps if your WS is low.

Good point on the distinction : Brothers of the blood, its really befitting our situation and I'd be down to take it with everyone if possible.

Even without, there is an updated talent called 'forging the bond' I think, and that allows for sharing chapter patterns too.

Lol, I got the Chainsword profile correct on my sheet (removing Balanced because it's worn) but somehow I forgot about it. I guess I can parry with the Power Maul then :P I was trying to assure a Parry to kick in Counter Attack.

I went for one of each, purely to fit with my character, the power maul is just there as I had spare request and wasn't sure what these guys would be packing! But fully intend to use the chainsword unless it proves inadequate.

I am fine with stowing weapons as a free action. I rarely nit pick until my players do.

I guess my bearings are way off and I keep doing useless s%+$ like running ahead to enemies that get murdered from behind me. Just gonna stand around and wait, because no matter what I contribute, it just gets lost or wasted.

Naaaa, really, now that Tiamat spotted that last enemy, if you manage a hit on it your +35 Str is gonna give it some tropical love, son ;)

Also, who do you think is on the Power's radius?


I was 30 meters closer to the enemy than anyone else, range of flamer is 30 meters... I'm between the flame and enemy or they ran by me...

I've only got a half move to attack or move, bc to sustain the power, it takes half action, so I'll just stay put.

You aren't the only one and its preventing me from doing anything and screwing with every action, even the GM put me somewhere other than where I posted, so... Like I said I'll just wait, enemies seem scared of me and avoid /run past me... Maybe Vaylund should be insulted, not scary looking or big enough.

You took a full round aiming and not advancing, so I am not sure what you are talking about.

Are we able to find a way through the maze to meet up? Does Chainswords counts as small melee weapon?

You can roll and easy (+30)Logic test to find each other, or a challenging (+0)navigate surface. You will probably have some encounters before you find your comrades, and the chainsword is not considered small for this situation. My questions got lost somehow, but it was in regards to the tactics and logic bonus from the beginning, do they apply? Also, would unarmed attack grant the bonus to hit now with small weapons?

My wasted action because I wasn't sure where I was or the enemy, stopped aiming because I thought he was closer, so switched to melee, but then he's no where near me, despite me being 30 meters closer than anyone else. At one point you posted I was with Tiamit when I had been running with Knutr and split 30 meters from him on the opposite flank of Tiamits flanking maneuver. No worries now, its over and done.

Did I find anything worthwhile on the guardsman corpse? My Awareness to do so was 4 DoS.

@ Panda, I saw you switch aiming targets, not to melee- Yes bonus to unarmed will work and previous bonuses do apply
@Feliks- Based on your other rolls and the body of text I thought the awareness was to detect someone sneaking up on you. I will say that the razorwings picked clean anything around you that was of use.

How did I miss my last attack..? Is there some other unknown penalty for our/my attacks that that I didn't include? I rolled a 54 on a 55 after all the bonuses and penalties you listed.

Because, as I mentioned before, there is only enough room to move single file in this maze. Cato is fighting the Chrono Warrior, you are behind him. In the case of the Claw Fiend I was a little more generous since it is hulking and an arm was hit, but in this situation the Chrono warrior is actually a size category smaller so Cato would totally block your attack.

My apologies, guess I read your post poorly and once again tried to do something that's impossible. Let me know when I can do something besides watch.

Maybe I can aim and make a called shot into melee combat... Making things difficult to roll and just saying stuff is impossible is different, try to make that clearer for me if possible.

Well you are a Librarian, I hear they have psyker powers and stuff. Its hard to predict everything that will happen, Cato could have gotten knocked down, then your hit could have been possible.

I am rather tired of your snide comments in general. You make mistakes then twist them to be mine, I do not appreciate it in the slightest.

Since this is a question that you actually asked and was not mysteriously erased like the other ones you accused me of ignoring. YES you can shoot into melee with a negative. YES if you miss you might hit CATO.

I apologize. You're right, I have been rather snide with you. I was frustrated with you missing a few of my posts or ignoring them completely until I reminded you. The mistakes (either ones I perceive or actually were) seemed to single me out and so I've responded like so because I'm not sure if somethings you've done have been an accident or intentional. I stopped giving you the benefit of the doubt and took it personal. Should have PMd you earlier.

Seeing Knutr's melee destruction I wonder ... Do we use the new Only War/DH2 Melee System, were #DoS in melee gives you more hits if you have swift/lightning attack?

It's the Deathwatch rule for attacking a Horde in melee. Normal melee attacks don't follow this rule.

Only when fighting hordes do you get the additional attacks. Every 2 DOS you get an extra hit against the horde. This rule is found in the horde rules in a remote location in the back of the book, like many important rules.

ah, thanks for clearing that up, because it really looked like the new melee rules from the Only War and Dark Heresy 2 books, they reworked semi-/full auto and swift/lightning strike to work that way too.
