EDITED ACTION! Like Siggut, Oreana will delay until after Ravarel so she can receive the haste effect.

Oreana sees the disgusting sea in front of her and imagines what could lie below it, deciding it would not be a good idea to cross it. "I'll keep moving forward along the wall... I can't see our enemies..." while walking she started to pray. "I call Thee Falayna, The Warrior's Ring! Lend my sword thy prowess and purity! May thy holy strength liberate the desecrated!"

Moving 60ft. along the wall and using a standard action to activate Divine Bond, for +1 and holy, for 12 minutes.

Kaydanna will wait until the haste spell is given and after seeing Siggut charge after the foes, Kaydanna moves around the boulders (?) just north of the targets to flank them on the other side should be a move of 60 if i counted right, it is a tad fuzzy

Suddenly, a monstrous gigantic green worm, its massive maw filled with sharp teeth, rises gloriously from the sea of worms, Kyuss worms falling from its head back into the sea, as it stands 30' high! With its massive reach, it looks like it could reach any of the party members and attack them! First, it stares at the party for a second before focusing on....Ravarel!
To be fair, will roll and choose in alphabetic order:1d5 ⇒ 4
Rav, please roll a Will Save, as maddening visions enter your mind!

1d5 ⇒ 5...Siggut!

The giant worm then rears back its body and brings down its massive maw on the dwarf, taking a vicious chunk of flesh off, as it grabs the tiny dwarf in its maw!
Attack: 1d20 + 32 ⇒ (8) + 32 = 40...hit!
Damage: 12d6 + 22 ⇒ (3, 5, 4, 3, 5, 2, 4, 6, 4, 4, 4, 4) + 22 = 70
Grab: 1d20 + 43 ⇒ (10) + 43 = 53...Siggut is grappled!

Round 2: Bad guys!
As grappled creatures cannot take Attacks of Opportunity, the wormcaller severely wounded by Siggut and Elise's Searing Light, casts a Quickened Hold Person on Ravarel (if he made the save) or on Elise, if not and then walks down to the sea of worms and lets the worms living there infest his body, curing him of all harm!

The second wormcaller casts a Quickened Hold Person on the approaching Kaydanna and then casts an unholy Flamestrike on Ravarel and Elise!
Damage: 12d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 2, 3, 6, 2, 4, 5, 2, 4, 1) = 39...half fire, half unholy
Reflex save for 1/2

Recap:
Rav Will save vs. visions (supernatural ability), no +2 from elf
If successful, Will save vs. Hold Person
If not successful, Elise Will save vs. Hold Person
Kaydanna, Will save vs. Hold Person
Elise and Ravarel, Reflex saves (if held, no save)

"For the mighty Heironeous! What aberration is this?" Oreana focuses her mind, trying to discern if the creature is tainted by evil. Using detect evil as a move action (defensively - auto succeeds). I'll assume that it is and make the remaining of her action... If it is not, let me know and I'll make something else.

Seeing how tainted it is and the danger it represents to her companions, Oreana points her sword to the creature before stepping forward and attacking it. "With Heironeous' strength, I shall smite you, blasphemous creature!"

Okay, lots to get to.
First, all rolled saves were successful.
Reflex saves for fireball:
Wormcaller #1 (the one who was just fully healed): 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (1) + 12 = 13..76 damage
Wormcaller #2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19...76 damage
Worm: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (17) + 11 = 28...38 damage
Oreanna, the Worm is definitely evil!
47 more damage to Overworm!

Kaydanna, I have posted it before about players reading posts and making saves when called for, so you auto-fail the Hold Person save that was requesed of you but I will treat your roll of 16 as your full-round action second Will save, so no attack this round but you are no longer held. Not trying to be a d**k but I take time to post recaps and bold the text for a reason when it comes to saves. Plus, since players can preview rolls, it is the best way to avoid "cheating", in my opinion. I am sure you did not do it on purpose but I have emphasized this point before. Thanks for understanding.

Siggut is up. With FoM on, he can auto-escape the grapple as a standard action or do something else.

obviously not fine lol...not when they can just fully heal by stepping into the worm sea. TBH somehow I forgot about the healing property of the worm sea somewhere between reading DL's post and writing mine. I thought about it when I woke up this morning but didn't get a chance to revise my actions before DL's post. Live and learn.

DM, I'd like to discuss a little thing... Oreana's action of Detecting Evil was made as I, as a player wanted to avoid wasting a Simte Evil in a non-evil creature but by your post, it looks like it was 'obvious' that the creature was evil... This is making me think if there is a conflict of player/char knowledge (Me as a player wasn't sure, but she, as a paladin, could have knew it already). If that is the case, and you thin it is appropriate, could I make a full-round attack instead?

Oreana, if the creature has Kyuss worms in its gut and crawling around its body, you can safely guess it is evil..lol! I was surprised also you did not take a full-round action, but then I thought you sacrificed it to give your allies the IS bonuses. You can full-attack instead if you wish.

@Elise..... I thought that 76 damage with Kaydanna being right there to finish them off using one of the Dazes would be a waste.
I didn't think I could affect the giant worm with the fireball as well... If I knew that I could get all 3 in the blast I certainly would have used a Dazing Fireball... Next time I'll ask before posting my actions

The IS sword is awesome but against this creature, I think 3 more attacks (thanks to haste) are much preferred!

Seeing her first attack sink into the creatures flesh, Oreana kept swinging her sword in quick succession.

Attack (longsword), haste, heroes' feast, power attack, smite evil: 1d20 + 23 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 23 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 7 = 40

Attack (longsword), haste, heroes' feast, power attack, smite evil: 1d20 + 18 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 18 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 7 = 36
Damage (longsword), holy, power attack, smite evil: 1d10 + 12 + 2d6 + 8 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 12 + (3, 6) + 8 + 13 = 47

Attack (longsword), haste, heroes' feast, power attack, smite evil: 1d20 + 13 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 13 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 7 = 35
Attack Crit? (longsword), critical focus, haste, heroes' feast, power attack, smite evil: 1d20 + 13 + 4 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 13 + 4 + 1 + 1 - 4 + 7 = 30
Damage (longsword), holy, power attack, smite evil: 1d10 + 12 + 2d6 + 8 + 13 ⇒ (9) + 12 + (5, 3) + 8 + 13 = 50
Damage Crit? (longsword), power attack, smite evil: 1d10 + 12 + 8 + 13 ⇒ (7) + 12 + 8 + 13 = 40

Yeah, I think 171 additional damage is more handy than a buff ATM.

Geez!!! Yes, that was better...just a tad!

Oreana's blessed blows rip off the worm's burned flesh, building in momentum, until the final one cuts it in half, freeing the dwarf from its maw! The body and head collapse into the sea of worms.

Sorry, my list didn't update this game yesterday for some reason.

"Nice chopping Oreanna! I was a touch worried there. "
Siggut will move back to continue attacking the caster.

Hope everyone had a nice weekend.

Siggut's blow connects and you see fear in the wormcallers' faces as Oreana strikes down the Overworm seconds after it appears.

Wormcallers' turn:
The first wounded wormcaller casts Greater Dispel Magic on Oreana.
Dispel Magic roll: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28...success
She loses Heroes' Feast, Death Ward, Air Walk, and 1d3 ⇒ 3 Resist Fire.

Upon losing Air Walk, she descends into the lake of worms, where a host of worms descend upon her.
Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 1) = 11
Oreana, Fort save DC 20 vs. nausea
Oreana, Fort save DC 20 vs. poison

With a smile at the paladin's fate, the wormcaller looks at Elise and casts a Quickened Hold Person on the cleric. Elise Will Save DC 18.

The second wounded wormcaller, just struck by Siggut, casts a Quickened Hold Person on the dwarf, takes a 5' step, and lets the worms again fully heal him as his action this round.
Will save DC 18, Siggut or be held.

Oreana, let me know how you are going to stay afloat (swim, etc.), assuming you make the nauseated save, or if you're sinking like a stone.

Updated map will come later today.

When Airwalk is dispelled the subject slow falls 60' per round for 1d6 rounds, so depending oh how deep the pit was she might be saved instead of entering the worm pool.. Regardless she would have an action before entering it I would think.. Also caster level 12 greater dispel only gets 3 spells, not 4.

If Kaydanna is no longer held she gets out of the muck and mire and tends to her companions. "Well fought by you all. I was rather un-useful in that fight. Apologies. It seems they got the better of me."

Channel: 9d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 1, 3, 4, 4, 2, 3) = 29

Cure lt on Siggut: 8d8 + 8 ⇒ (7, 4, 3, 2, 3, 8, 7, 3) + 8 = 45

She will re-up Oreana's Death Ward with her wand as well..

Am I corect that any spell under 35 min durations are gone now?

You can go south from the sea of worms or back SW to the room with the double doors that you ignored when you came down. Let me know.

South.

I assume you carry Oreana over the sea of worms and place her on solid ground and head south.

I'm kind of hoping the casters have some trick in mind to renew her mobility. We are also running rather low on the air walk iirc.

Yea an update on the spells is Airwalk is gone, Deathwards are down to 35 mins, except for Oreana who just got a new charge of it, and Communal Resist spells have ard 20 mins left.. I guess I'll have to start memorizing 2 communal air walks each day from here on..

yeah...I've got nothing to help with group flight. Are there areas we can explore without Airwalk?

Yes, you land on the southern end of the cavern, just as your Air Walk spell expires.

Continuing down the southern corridor, you come to double doors, which you inspect for traps and open to reveal the following:

This room seems out of place, given the cold and barren decor of the other chambers in the complex. The floor is covered with a thick green carpet, and a long, padded divan sits in the room’s center. Small padded stools surround the divan. The walls are carved with nightmarish scenes of a dual world. The lower half of these carvings depict a world of caverns and twisting tunnels that are infested with massive worms, creatures that look like humans posing as worms, and creatures more horrifying than either. On the upper half, these worm monsters burst from the ground to ravage and ruin numerous humanoid civilizations. Dragons with the heads of worms fly in the skies above, and towering over them all is an immense figure in a dark gray robe. His face is hidden by the hood of the robe, but worms drip from under his cowl.

There doesn't appear an exit from this room, though to be fair, it is hard to inspect the room from 30' away.

Oreana nods at her companions. "Indeed... the problem is that we are constantly fighting against casters and swordsman, in which case neither of the tactics are guaranteed..."

It looks like we are stuck... I think the best one to 'scout' is Kaydanna. She has a relatively high AC and good Perception... Oreana and Siggut are the real tanks but both have ridiculous Perceptions. Elise is equivalent to Kaydanna but if something bad happens, it is better to have Elise to fix it with her spells. Otherwise, Oreana could also walk in and take the blow.

I would have done perception, but we didn't have traits, so it wasn't a class skill. Chasing any non class skill is rather foolish.

So far, no one has posted that they enter the room. You guys just standing at the entrance?
