Regarding my discussion pay earlier, Warshawski, I'd you want to rp the search out, I'm game if you are.
Just realizing I could have taken a 20 on that Search check or just done an Aid Another roll to give Bacarov a bonus. Assuming people go along with Warshawski's plan. :)
Take 20 on a search check is not very efficient, because it is only for 5x5 ft... then again, if you take half an hour or so it should be enough for a hut. I was considering to to take 10 on my own rolls, but I prefer to give Fortuna a chance.

Luckily, brave Pertreeko dove into the path of the falling rocks, shielding you all with his body and saving your lives at the cost of his own. Though we knew ye not, brave tengu, your life was not given in vain! Another Christmas miracle! :D
On a more serious note, though I am no fan of Christmas, I will say that it got me a few excellent books, including the Bestiary 4 Box, NPC Codex, Monster Codex, and the 5e D&D Dungeon Master's Guide.
To not draw this to an unnecessary length here is Calwen's plan for now:
1. Get Armand from the tree, wrap him in a blanket from his hut, create an improvised spade and bury him, preferably at a location that the wolf shows her. With a log or anything like that to mark his grave.
2. Investigate the hut and look for notes of what he's been doing and what he's been struggling with. Also, leave a note in sylvan detailing what she found, in case a fellow druid comes to check up on him. She will not mention Lyila in any way in that not however.
3. Dig at least one of the holes in the floor out to see whether it is poisoned.
4. See whether the wolf is hungry and hunt for/with her if necessary (as member of the dragon she bestows a bonus on Survival for that purpose on her team mates). Afterwards bring the wolf to Lyila - either to guard her glade or in hopes she finds another druid for her.
5. Hear what Lyila thinks - she is inclined to try following the tracks where Armand was hung up or go to Ravenmoor. Depends a little how much of a track there is left, since it has been days already.
Feel free to to build her intentions in, otherwise I fear that this scene might take forever. :D I have noted down the mask as "Broken Mosquito Mask" in her inventory. She keeps it as evidence for later reference, wrapped in a piece of cloth of any kind.
@Calwen - No problem, I'll try to cover as much of that as possible in one post, and then you can just respond or make changes as needed. We'll get you linked up with the rest of the party as soon as they get out of Magnimar, which hopefully won't take more than another good round of posts. You'll probably meet up with them once they hit Galduria.
As a head's up to everyone, I'll be at work until 2pm (EST) today, so I probably won't have a post up until after that, but I can check in briefly on my lunch break later.

Took me a while to respond. I had a long ride home today. Usually the trip takes me five hours, but with one autobahn blocked and heavy snow in large parts of Germany it took me seven and a half hours today. After that I had to relax a bit first.
Totally understandable. I had to kick back and unwind for a few hours yesterday after work- a game, particularly a PbP game, is meant to be fun, not stressful, so never prioritize it over your personal life.
On a related note, I have a particularly notable development in my own personal life happening later tonight, so I will probably not be able to post anything until a little bit later- all I can say is, wish me luck!

The fourth thread would be specifically for doing downtime RP or by the campfire RP without bogging down the main campaign.
Feel free to post the retroactive "downtime RP" in this thread if you'd like, guys. Just throw a line at the top of the post indicating when the incident occurred, and that'll do just fine. The structure and timing of PbP means that there'll be a lot of content added into the overall narrative after-the-fact, so I don't mind it one bit.
Privately, I'm considering assembling everything into a sort of narrative timeline for my own perusal eventually, mostly because the quality of posts in this game has been absolutely outstanding.
Let's go with the header . That'll call out for everyone it's for that time period.
