Floredana Mandulescu |
Questions Flo will try to find answers for: What are the local goblin tribes? Where can we find them? Are there people who need any help? Is there somebody otherwise knowledgeable about the goblin attack?
Kargas Stormscar |
Kargas doesn't have any money, so he'll seek out a few local hunters, merchants, etc and ask about goblins, local monsters, nearby terrain & sites of interest, and of course the Sandpoint Devil.
Floredana Mandulescu |
Nobody seems to really need help... I'll see what my new friends are going to do and see if I can tag along until something comes up. "Kargas, do you mind if I stick with you while we wait this out?"
Deadly secret |
If there is anything you need to buy or see, just let me know. Anything you sell may not equal 50% back, you can give me a list and I'll give you the value back.
Kargas, you make your way to the Squash Stables and run into a man named Daviren Hosk. When you bring up goblins he seems to have a foul look on his face and informs you he hates those creatures and that he actually is giving a 5 gp bounty for every Goblin ear you bring him in decent condition.
The public board at the Rusty Dragon has 2 new posts on it. One is for the Sandpoint Theater. They are putting on a reenactment of the goblin raid. There is also a listing for Harrow readings by Niska Mvashti, offering a discount.
Kargas Stormscar |
"Not at all, glad for the company. You live here in Sandpoint, yeah? What's the story with this Sandpoint Devil, is it active a lot?"
Floredana Mandulescu |
Flo waits quietly while Kargas pumps available information from the stableman. I've never really heard of this devil, I wonder if we will encounter it... Kargas seems to hope so!
When Kargas finishes his conversation with Daviren about the Sandpoint Devil...
"Let's go see the reenactment of the raid! Maybe we will be portrayed by someone!"
Kargas Stormscar |
"Who could they possibly have found to play Kargas Stormscar in so little time! But, sure, I've never been to a play, especially one that I'm in." As he walks, Kargas muses about goblin bounties and imagines various impressively large creatures he could kill.
"So, Flor, what's the terrain like around here? I came in on the road and didn't get to see much, but if we get short on coin a few goblin years may be, uh, 'in the cards'. That's a thing people say here, right?"
Floredana Mandulescu |
"Haha yes, 'in the cards' is something people say here. Sandpoint proper is nestled on a small bay. The surrounding area has quite the mix of terrain, from mountains to marshes. The marshes are primarily where the goblins can be found. Goblin ears sound a little... gruesome... but you are right that it could help to make ends meet."
Cade Goodbarrel |
Cade takes in the sights as he makes his way around town, doing a little shopping. He hopes to catch up with the others sometime later in the day. He does not buy anything just looks at clothing stores and looking for a tailor that would be willing to some work for him in the future.

The theater tonight has a large turn out with most its seats filled. As you enjoy the play you might begin to realize that not only is this play a re-enactment of the Goblin raid with a whole lot more drama, but you also notice the heroes of this play look a lot like you guys. The actors act out your rescuing of the nobleman named Aldern Foxglove, whom is also in the audience tonight. The audience seems mesmerized by the actors and applaud loudly as the show ends.
Kargas Stormscar |
"Not really, he talks a lot more than you. The dog in the green leathers as Little Brother was a nice touch though!" Kargas chuckles a bit loudly--his concept of a whisper could use some work too.
As the show concludes, the half-orc carefully watches the audience and his companions for cues on how to respond. Standing and stretching he remarks, "That was fun, but in the saga-songs back home everyone gets to participate. They should let the audience do something besides sit."
Floredana Mandulescu |
She snickers about at Herra's and Kargas' exchange. I didn't think Herra would be one for embarrassment!
Flo cheers quiet loudly at the conclusion of the play. I've never had been an inspiration for a play before! "That was so much fun, I can't believe they wrote a play about what we did!"
Seeing Aldern leave, she turns to the party. "Look over there, that's Aldern! Let's go see how he is doing and what he thought of the play!" Unless somebody has a compelling reason not to approach him, Flo moves to intercept
Kargas Stormscar |
Kargas shrugs, indifferent. "He spends too much time on clothes and not enough learning to scrap if you ask me."
Cade Goodbarrel |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |
Cade watches the play with interest. He follows each and every move that the actors make.
F*&%ing Humans, using a child to play my part. Like I am the only Halfling in town....
He claps at the end of the play and gets up to join the others as they leave.
Patrons are a good thing...if you get the right patron that is.
and as Kargas makes his point about clothes. Cade stops and slowly turns and looks up.
What is wrong with having a good fashion sense..hmm..
He looks Kargas up and down
at least when I die, I will die looking good.
He gives Kargas a smile and turns around and continues on his way.
Kargas Stormscar |
Cha14 & Str18, Kargas isn't feeling any pain :p
Kargas Stormscar |
Assuming someone decides to follow Aldern, Kargas will sigh loudly but follow along. If we're not going to follow him, what next?
Floredana Mandulescu |
Flo follows Aldern's out the door, doing her best to catch up to him.
Floredana Mandulescu |
Follow and then surprise him with ale and friendship at the rusty dragon
Deadly secret |
Cade notices that the Inn is bustling tonight with entertainment and plenty of patrons. Ameiko is working the tables serving food and chatting it up with customers. A bard is on stage singing a melody he claims he heard from a Siren and lived to tell the tale.
Foxglove heads over to a table and sits by himself.
Kargas Stormscar |
Kargas follows the halfling in, pulling up a chair beside him. After an overly casual look around the tavern to check on the nearest tables--which just happens to keep Ameiko in view--he signals a serving woman. Leaning waaay down, he whispers in a conspiratorial fashion, "So, Cade, you seem to understand local courtship rituals, yeah? I don't think the stuff I learned back home would go over very well here. Could you, uh, maybe go over the basics?"
Cade Goodbarrel |
Cade smiles at Kargas, wanting so badly to direct him the most entertain way, but refrains from such behavior. He follows his gaze over to Ameiko and turns back to the Half-Orc.
Just be yourself, no rituals from back home. Just be yourself...and treat her with respect...if I find out you disrespected her I will come back here and kick your a%s.
Cades sighs loudly as the others sit down at the table, he looks at each in turn.
I have been giving this a lot of thought. This Goblin attack seems to be nothing more than just that a simple raid. Goblins getting to bold and attacking a town. There is no proof pointing to some sinister plot of revenge or blood cult or virgin sacrifices. Just goblins starting a fight that they lost. I have come to enjoy your company and respect each one of you...unless something pops up that give me reason to believe otherwise...then I am on the first caravan out of here. I am heading home in the morning. I came here looking for a family item that was misplaced. I have found that item and since there is nothing more to these attacks, then there is no purpose for me being here.
He raises his glass to each of them and with a smile on his face.
A toast then. To the short lived Sandpoint six.
Floredana Mandulescu |
Flo seats herself at the same table as her friends. As Kargas talks of his plans, she looks very amused. Hopefully this ends in a happy way for him!
Cade is probably right... I do like the company, but maybe this whole thing was just a random event. Might as well make the best of it... With mixed emotions, Flo raises a glass, "To the Sandpoint Six!"
After downing her drink, she calls out to Aldern, "My Lord, why don't you come join us for a drink? It very well may be our last night together as a group."
Kargas Stormscar |
Kargas raises his mug, mumbling "To the, er, Sandpoint Six."
Deadly secret |
Aldern reacts to hearing his name and shifts his attention towards you all, his eyes meeting Floredana's. He stands up and collects himself before he approaches the table. "My heroes, I am so happy to see you here. I wanted to reward you for rescuing me. I would be more than happy to accompany you." He sits down as close to Floredana as he can and begins to dig through his sack. He then pulls out a coin purse. "Ah yes here it is." He tosses the purse onto the table. "It's not much but it's what I have at the time. 50 gp per person who saved me."
Cade Goodbarrel |
My Lord, thank you for your generosity. It is much appreciated.
Cade gives him a smile.
In the days to come I will gladly raise a mug in your honor.
This will pay for the caravan ride. I will be home soon enough
Floredana Mandulescu |
"Lord Aldern, thank you so much! Your generosity is most appreciated." She says with a sweet smile. What a nice man, we didn't do it for money!
"We saw you at the performance tonight, what did you think of it?"
Floredana Mandulescu |
"It was truly wonderful! I have never had a play made about something I was a part of! Lord Aldern, you are too kind!"She says, blushing a at the compliment.
When the night gets late, having had plenty of food, drink, and fun for one day, Flo will begin making her way to her room.
Kargas Stormscar |
Eyes wide with surprise, the half-orc blurts without thinking, "You can hunt?!"
Floredana Mandulescu |
A boar hunt? I've never been on one of those before, it could be fun! "Unless my companions object, we would be more than happy to accompany you on your hunt tomorrow!" Flo says, eyes wide with excitement for yet another unique experience in such a short amount of time.
Floredana Mandulescu |
"Of course Lord Aldern, we will meet you here in the morning!" Beaming, she goes upstairs and retires for the night. That Aldern is quite the fellow! Who knows what new excitement tomorrow will bring?
Cade Goodbarrel |
Flipping a coin on the table as a way of tipping the staff.
I have plans in the morning, I wish you luck on the hunt. Lords, Ladies...it was a pleasure. Good night and..good bye.
Cade retires for the evening
