Bhalur Blackthorn |
ahah. Its fine. Just waiting for Chingo and seeing how the post starts to go once again.
As I look at the fight, seems like Bhalur is in low health.
Sabrik |
Wonderful, I'll be a fresh breath of air to aid in combat!
Besides, I no longer look like a savage with a katana, I have some horn lamellar and a bronze blade from my former master. (As a samurai, my training worked allot like the knight and squire relationship, only with good old samurai swords and cool armor)
I didn't really help Brunswick, but that doesn't matter when he is covered with supplies.
I also have a banner that hangs off my back like a flag( this will be of great significants in a few levels)
Kevroth |
Yeah, we have been here reading you. Just kind of in a holding pattern...
Sabrik |
In one lvl I can use a tiger, lion, or dinosaur as my mount... Although that would be interesting if I rode a Tyrannosaurs Rex into battle, barely hitting anything because I'm ten feet above their head... Where in the nine hells would I get a t-rex?
Tiger I could understand, but a giant ancient reptile?
Sabrik |
Wonderful! How can I jump back in?
Sabrik |
Okay. On standby (I just found a promising champaign so I can wait while I am making my character )
Sabrik |
:( okay...
Sabrik |
Did I just happen to land in a slow posting hole?
Kevroth |
The game has kinda been on hold for a while. You actually showed back up right when Chingo is getting us going again...
Sabrik |
Ah, the edge... Okay then;)
Sabrik |
Don't worry about it, I actually got some good posts in on another campaign. But this is what I'm waiting for :D
Sabrik |
Looking at the progress so far, if I join we could likely slay a younger dragon with only a little difficulty.
Especially if we plan in advance. We could likely win within 5-6 rounds.
Sabrik |
Roll20? I'd be interested, but I would like to know more first
Chingo Chaplo |
It's using my own rules the Tempest System which are not completely finished yet, hence why it is going to be a bit experimental. It will be like an alpha or beta version and stuff will be added as we go, but you will keep your characters and the progress you make items etc (unless you die of course)
Here's the campaign setting/world guide which is not close to being finished campaign setting guide
Sabrik |
So would it be pbp on here or would it be somewhere else?
Sabrik |
Yes I do believe that I can do that.
You can find me as Jerry S.
Sabrik |
I'm not supported because I don't pay X(
Rhialla Arken |
Its a free service. Roll20 has a bunch of premium features for paying members but you can easily get by without it.
Sabrik |
I have only a tablet. It doesn't allow me to do it without paying
Sabrik |
Great, now I can get in again... Somehow.
Sabrik |
May I post me tracking them? I'm not with the group, only a few minutes away.
Sabrik |
Ah sabrick and his jet powered aracna-limbs.
I couldn't find the original post, but here is something close...
Kevroth |
I will be out of town all weekend. I will be back to posting on Sunday night.
Sabrik |
Okay, will be waiting.
Chingo Chaplo |
Okay I have some news and a proposition, which I really hope you will like. I am going to put this game on hold as I have mentally moved on from the world, but I am opening up another game which I would really love if you joined.
The game is going to take place in the world of Aetheras, which is very different from the typical medieval europe fantasy setting, a strange world more like the Ninth World of the Numenera setting than like Middle Earth or Faerun or what have you.
The game is going to have pregenerated characters which are currently in the making. The backstories for four of them can be found here.
I really hope that you will take this as good news instead of bad.
Have a look at the pregens that I have made and tell me what you think, vent any frustration you might have with me and ask any questions you might have.
The rules are going to be very close to the Pathfinder rules and your characters will start out as level 3 or level 4 (so you haven't lost the leveling progress from this game).
I am very excited for this, as I believe I have finally found just the right setting for me to GM. I think my problem is that I very quickly get bored with typical medieval fantasy that I need something different and new to explore.

What no koroku.......
A bit disappointed, considering I was really enjoying this setting and this strange character.
How close is it to Pathfinder? Is the mechanics the same, just with a different setting?
The sixth one, Preysh Kavaan, looks rather interesting. Though seems not to have a distinctive role or class assigned, being a wraith perhaps some unusual sorcery abilities.
Next one I willing to try is the rogue one, Bevis Mherone, as I am getting better at playing rogues in addition to druids (favourite) and sorcerers.

Disappointed is a good word. I really enjoyed the different characters and looked forward to seeing how things progressed. Without knowing anything about the Ninth World setting or system myself I'm more interested in how the narrative aspect of the game works in pbp, though the mechanics are still important. The setting reminds me of the early Phantasy Star games where advanced tech was just as dangerous as it was also wonderful and I really liked those a few of those games. Pregens are interesting and useful for introductions, but in the long run I would be interested in building my own character. Though I suppose it would be easy to make the existing pregens into their own with a little imaginative tweaking.

@Arukara We might go back to Eredim some time in the future, so don't delete Arukara.
Mechanics-wise it will be very close to Pathfinder, at least the basic rules. Classes will be different. It might even be classless, where abilities are bought with experience. I'm not sure yet, but I find that idea interesting, plus I'd like for each of the characters to have some abilities that are unique to them as individuals.
Preysh Kavaan will have some supernatural abilities due to him being a wraith, but he will also be a capable warrior.
Bhevis Mherone will be something akin to a rogue/mage with some abilities that reflect his job as a sleuth.
@Rhialla Yeah I can understand why you are disappointed and I am sorry. I really tried to get myself back into mood to continue the campaign, but I just couldn't find the motivation for it. If we had continued with how I currently feel, it would be at a very slow pace as I wouldn't have the motivation to post a lot and what I would post probably wouldn't be very good as I wouldn't really be feeling it. With that said, there's always the posibillity that we could go back to the Eredim campaign at some point in the future (don't delete your characters).
I am not familiar with Phantasy Star, but the Ninth World is a strange sort of post-post-post apocalyptic setting with magic and strange technology left over by previous civilizations, strange artifacts and strange creatures. Everything is just strange heh. Futuristic guns and the like aren't normal though. People fight with swords and crossbows.
The reason why I am going with character pregens is that I don't have to make a whole setting guide for you to base your characters on and to make sure that the characters have the right feel fitting the setting. You are more than welcome to tweak a character to your liking, or to create your own character, once we've played a while and you are familiar with the setting (and the rules for character creation has been made heh.)
