Your math seems off
From what I can tell your Freebee points are as follows
+15 free
+6 from flaws
-6 from Merits
-4 from Background
-4 from willpower
-3 from Rituals
-7 from Disciplines
so you are sort 3 freebee points.
Where source is the power fetish from?
When was he embraced?
Where is his sire currently?
Are the Usurpers or his revenant relatives looking for him?
Fredrico Ducheski |
Ok got it, remove the potence giving me 4 pts spending 2 on 1 pt of will 1 on herd, 1 on resources. The power fetish is a flaw that if he doesnt have he needs to roll will to use disciplines. He was sold it by an old gypsy woman on the road to Valencia through Damascus.
His sire is based in London and he was embraced around 100 years ago during the first battles between the tremere and tzimche. I would say no one is really looking for me as of now.

It took a while to work out an idea that I wanted to play. I think I've finally landed on a former Teutonic knight embraced after fighting in Prussia. Served as a ghoul for a few years to a very old an prestigious Lasombra who, while not a Prince himself, is often sought out for advice.
The basic idea is that the character was embraced for being a good knight with potential to be something more. Though he's had trouble managing to pick up the complications of politics. It's not that he's not clever, or a decent fighter, or anything of the sort. But, because of the pressure of his Sire (or perceived pressure) he often tries too hard. His Sire has decided that a change of scenery might do him good and has sent him off to the court of an old associate.
He's young and eager, but he's not sure what he's eager *for*. And that tends to be his downfall.
I'll have a character sheet up tomorrow along with a short background.

Here's a quick and dirty character sheet for my Lasombra. I left a few things open for suggestions and fitting into the game a bit better.
When was he first ghouled? Embraced?
So his rival isn't the Imp? Perhaps a young childer or grandchilder of either the Prince or his Cappodician advisor?

Ridge here.Argh... site when down during a massive edit last night. Okay, hopefully we have room for two Lasombra, here's Alvaro.
I tried to put as much in the profile as I could.
I can work on another concept if two Lasombra would be one too many
That has happened to me many times, always annoying. I constantly save when I am working on a character now.
Where is he originally from?
Does his mother know what has happened to him? If not how does he explain his inability to stand the sun.
Alvaro de'Aragon |
Where is he originally from?
As his surname of use might suggest, the region of Aragon, probably a smaller town south of the city of Zaragoza.
Does his mother know what has happened to him? If not how does he explain his inability to stand the sun.
His mother knows he prefers the night though she tries to turn a blind eye to signs her sign has less than savory activities. He has made a convincing story of a condition contracted in the five year time he was pulled away from her by his sire. Clearly a disease contracted from some foreigner...fortunately it is no longer contagious!
He keeps his door locked firmly during the day, and she is not strong enough to break it open even if she needed to, thank the lord.

I'd say he was a ghoul in the 1220's into early 1230 and embraced around 1234 after the battle on the Sirgune river against the Pogesanians. So he's been a vampire for only about 10 years.
A childe of the Prince or his advisor would be perfect! I'm envisioning an envious relationship where Simon doesn't even realize he's done something wrong, or at least can't figure out why the other person sees him as a threat to their power.
Oh, I should also note that Simon doesn't quite understand the animosity that the christian Lasombra in the area have for their Muslim and Jewish kindred. He's used to fighting pagans and here, at least, they worship the same God. They just do it poorly. Not that he's opposed, or against removing them from power in the peninsula, or against just fighting them for any reason. He just doesn't understand the need to wipe them out and the level of hatred leveled at them.

History has been added to the profile. Ready for whatever questions you may have, Browman.
Where is blooded by the code from? I can't seem to find it, I know it has something to do with the Code of Samiel.
Is Nuriel still alive, if so does Matthais know where he is?
How does Matthais present himself to Vampire society?
Is his squire a ghoul, if not how does he explain his night based lifestyle?
Matthais |
Blooded by the Code is from Clanbook: Salubri (pg 47)
For some reason you were fortunate enough to receive a blooding by the Code of Samiel in the prescribed way. Consequently, you may learn the abilities granted by this blooding if you can find a teacher.
There are two abilities available for 7 XP each (again assuming a teacher is found). One is called Tracker's Mark and allows the vampire in question gain insight into his target by examining/tasting blood spilled by the target.
The second power is called Blessing of the Name, which calls upon the heavenly host. The Blessing is definitely a masquerade breaking power in which golden light shines from the Salubri's third eye granting the effect of Majesty and ignore wound penalties for the duration of the scene. Road rating is rolled vs. Diff 8 and requires 2 successes to activate. Use of the power tends to aggravate the angel if used in situations that are not dire, life threatening or over used.
---------------------------------------
Nuriel is still alive as far as Matthias knows, but has not seen him in nearly a decade.
---------------------------------------
I changed this from what I was originally planning. Matthias does not try to hide who he is in terms of his Clan and is rather vocal in his disdain for the Tremere.
---------------------------------------
Yes, his squire is a ghoul. As a side note, Matthias has not found someone he feels is worthy of the embrace and has not tried as of yet. Needless to say, given one of his flaws, he is in for a rather rude awakening when he does find someone worthy.
Anything else?

Ahoy Browman! I see you added a eight generation Gangrel with road of the beast to the NPC's
Would you consider having him be Alexanders sire?
I would take away my two dots in domain, and put them to the mentor background.
His sire could have gone to Scotland for a large Gangrel gathering, and embraced him around that time?
Then without the domain it wouldn't make much sense for him to be territorial, so i scrap that flaw. He needs to work towards carving out his own domain. It would give him reason to go along with everything more than anything.
Ive also considered prey exclusion, and from a road of the beast point of view I feel that that doesn't make a lot of sense, so Id like to ditch that one.
And last but not least Ill scrap the grip of the damned and lower protean by one, to round off the points.
