.......... Dwarven Ruins Basement - Mess Hall ..........

The other kobold seems to be unfazed by the hunched back's words some even spit and glare at him. One of the red scaled kobold steps up to attack the him but Ruthviren quick brings his hammer around smashing the kobold's skull in and it slumps to the ground.

Auxavier stands as if waiting for the other kobolds to flee or surrender but they continue to fight.

Three red scaled kobold warriors charge at Farid stabbing at him with spear but the barbarian is able to dodge or parry all the attacks. Lucky you!!

A larger blue scaled Kobold whips a nasty spike on the end of a chain at Auxavier and catches the Paladin on the leg with it. Auxavier takes 2 damage and feeling a burning in his legs but resists the effect!!

Three kobolds attack the halfling and half-elf girl. The girl dodge a spear thrust from a red scaled kobold and the halfling parries a spear attack as well but gets slashed across the chest with a nasty spike on the end of a chain wielded by another larger blue scaled kobold near the southern exit.

The girl swings her club defensively to keep the kobolds back but misses. The halfling screams with a battle cry and plunges his knife into the kobold in front of him and the creature falls.

Auxavier stares at the kobolds stunned. I think we have lost him.

The last two larger blue scaled kobolds seeing their troops fall quickly to the new attackers flee down the south passage out of site.

Farid takes a swing with his ax as the kobold passes by him.

But misses unable to change the momentum of this axe so quickly.

The young half-elf girl also swings at he kobold with her make-shift club.

I'm back!

I happen to know most kobolds have slings on them, so...

Serila quickly moves up to the sleeping kobolds and ties their arms behind their backs with their own slings. She then ties their legs with the slings of dead kobolds.

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (12) + 14 = 26

As soon as the sleeping kobolds are tied up Serila turns to the kids. "We're from Falcon's Hollow, sent here to save you. My name's Serila, Serila Gudlinck."

Serila points at the kobold who's helping the party. "He's with us. I gave him a chance to redeem himself by helping us find you. Are you okay? Where are the other kids?"

She looks the kids over for wounds.

Heal, take 10: 10 + 5 = 15

One is wounded, isn't (s)he?

As the battle dies down another child comes out from under a cupboard in the adjoining room. "Are they gone?" This tall lanky boy wears simple dirty clothes and looks to be about 13 years old but you quickly notices that his mental state is that of a much younger child.

The half-elf girl jumps up and rushes over to the boy. "You did good Mikra. These people are here to help." She puts her arm around the boy and guides him to the group.

The halfling smiles at Serila as she inspects his wound. A sweaty, moon-faced little halfling. His once debonair, brocaded, green-velvet doublet and silk leggings are torn and covered in grime, and his lute still hangs on a strap at his side. "Thank You, Thank You!! I feared it was back to the dungeon for us until you all showed up. Nice to meet you Ms. Gudlinck, I have heard of your father. Well respected in town." He gets a sad look on his face and looks at the ground when asked about the other children. "My friend and one of the children never made it out of the caverns below but there are two more that did." He looks around the room quickly then at the half-elf girl. "Kimi, did you see which way Savram ran?"

The girl stops comforting the boy and turns to the halfling. "I saw him run north." Then pets the boys hair and speaks quietly to him.

The halfling turns back to the group. "You all came from the north and if you didn't not see him he might have taken a different passage then your group."

He then begins to shake his head. "The other child, Jurin, was taken by that fiend which was cloaked in smoke and covered in chains. I was not match to it so we had to flee." He trembles at the thought of it.

The girl is wounded and the halfling is badly wounded. The boy looks tired and hungry but unharmed.

The halfling tries to stand taller and extends his hand to anyone who will take it. "Hello, I am Edgrin Galesong and I am a full grown halfling man not a child." He seems upset that the group of warriors have been ignoring him.

"I was a member of an adventuring group that came to the ruins about week ago I guess. It's hard to tell what day it is down there. Well most of my group was killed or captured like me and are still below. I would like to save them but I do not believe that dragging the children back down into that kobold warren is the best idea." He shakes his head. "How about we find the two other children that made it out of the dungeon below and I and one of your group Aux can take them to the surface out of harms way."

"Thank you Miss Gudlinck. I feel much better now. Lets search this area quickly Savram could not have gone far and then we can save Jurin from the fiends lair."

The group makes there way north out of the mess hall to an intersection. The halfling looks at them. "So which way did you come from? North or East? If you did not see Savram then he most likely went the way you did not come from."

I have moved the group to the intersection north on the map.

The group makes it's way north with Auxavier and Farid leading the way. The barbarian notices small shoe prints in the thick dust and a set of sturdy wooden doors stand at the end of the passage. One of the doors is ajar.

This dark ossuary is cold and full of the sound of dripping water. A dark corridor runs north down the center of the room, while to either side two large bays open into small niches that contain ancient dwarven skeletons. At the far end of the corridor rests a large iron anvil.

This grim mini-catacomb of alcoves contains the bones of several dwarven monks of the crucible. All of the niches were once barred with locked iron grates. The grates are rusted and broken along the far east and west walls. The ones that seal the alcoves directly adjacent to the corridor, however, are still solid.

As Serila moves into the dark chamber the dancing lights which she constantly has summoned sends shadows dancing across the stone floor, metal grates and piles of bones within the niches. Pic of Ossuary

You also see a light green tinted smoke begin to raise out of the stone floor.
