Oh, they will send someone, after they get intel from the street urchin, because that was Kestral's job but she outsourced it to me.

So yeah, I can tell them some BS, and we intercept the hit squad.
Just saying if they requested intel on the security of the place, they probably won't blindly storm in without hearing back from their "spy".

Random theory: shivver is actually magical/powerful enough connect people to the dimension of dreams. So causing widespread addiction might make enough real - dream world bridges that the veil is wearing thin. So dreamstuff can poke over and grab some tasty morels. And eventually some eldritch abomination can make the jump too!

Or the increased/abnormal frequency is simply attracting more lurking stuff? But that wouldn't pave the way for something bigger and scarier ...

All I really know is that Ophelia is getting this strange urge to start collecting clue tokens and finding that darn shotgun!

Once again, plans in real-life simply don't work out.
I was to attent a training workshop most of this week, and expected to have plenty of time to post during the nights at the hotel, so was a bit lazy last weekend and spend time preparing for the trip.

Little did I know that we only met up at the hotel, then moved by bus to a cabin in the mountains for teambuilding purposes. No phone, no Wi-Fi, and even if we had, no time to post.
It was a very interesting experience, but yeah, sorry for going MIA/AWOL, I'm back and will make sure to catch up on all my games and post ASAP.

To be honest, I don't think it's your mistake so much as a aspect of pbp - there's been quite some real-life time since our talk with the magistrate, so the association would not be as automatic as it would be on a table game, where it's the same session or a week previously that one met.

Hej. Feeling fine again. Got worse before it got better.

Plus, once I was feeling a bit less ill, I had the bright idea of working on updating my computer system while I was home anyway, which caused some further problems with being able to go online.(Installing W7 on a M2 drive from USB is a mess by itself, certain boxed intel chips come without cooler, and I had no PCIe solution for Wifi(I use cards, not usb connectors)).

Either way, I'm back now and will catch up with all my games plus post today(within about 12 hours). Apologies for going missing. I did update some of my games when I originally fell ill, but not all - assuming I could post somewhat normally for those not moving at too fast a pace.

I *hmm* I'm not sure how having Ophelia see the transaction actually helps. But I'm sure you have something figured out ("Hey! I'm going to tell the police-bot about that bribe!" or something ...?).

Oh, you're a witness, you saw it. And you are a Construct so completely impartial. You cannot make things up. If you say you saw that, it must be true.
No regular guard would doubt the testimony of one of your kind. Simply proofing to him that there's been a witness that is beyond doubt who saw him accepting bribes would probably suffice to scare him into cooperation. But lets hope it works out without blackmail(because I am afraid thats illegal, too) ;)

That said, we're operating in a legal void right there, being cut off and actually hiding from crooked cops...daria is simply holding on to working patterns from her previous life in that situation - gives her comfort to stick with things she knows. But you can gladly chew her out later ;)

Hm...we did quite some information gathering before...or tried to :) I figure gathering some info at this place would be preferably.

So I'll go with Break&Enter.
Problem with 'go away and prep' is that our gear is guard-issue, and we are not currently in a position to go there and requisition a set of swarmbane clasps. What we have will probably need to do.

But since you do bring it up being prepared: I would welcome a chance for a one-time retraining of spells. I picked most of them out when Castor was around, who had plenty of scrolls and several regular spells I thus avoided, not wanting to double up on them - (Invisibility comes to mind). I would only swap out Timely Inspiration and Blood Biography, both of which I never used.


RE Retraining: Hmmm... When you next level which should be relatively soon I'm good with that.
