Dark Heresy: The Oremor Affliction IC
Game Master
Rookseye
On the agri-world of Oremor, at the very fringes of the Malfian sub-sector, acolytes of the Inquisition and their allies must confront a sinister conspiracy that threatens to shake the very foundations of the Calixis sector.
Swearengen: "Hawat, what the smeg is the matter now?"
Hawat: "Mr. Swearengen, sir, the Ork has destroyed the mess hall again."
Murdock: "You stupid snotling! Whadder'ya mean? *BEEEEEELLCHH!!!* Just had a lil'snack!"
Hawat: "A little snack? A little snack? You ate an entire grox-beast, drank five cases of his Lordship's finest amasec, and left on the floor for me to clean--a dump the size of a Titan! Reaver Class!"
Murdock: "You whiny 'ummie--Gonna bash yer brains when--"
Ship's Cogitation Voice interrupts: <<<Commander, scans indicate imminent contact with Dark Eldar Corsair Fleet>>>
Swearegen: "Smegging terrific! Get to the bridge!"
I'd like to echo Rook's praise. I loved reading that script hehehe
Thanks, guys. My only regret is the beginning of the scene should have had Swearengen interrupted using the Virtual Reality viewer while watching "Valley of the Slaanesh Girls." lol!
Funny you mention it Bal, I bought it last week and still have not been able to try it yet with how busy things have been lately. Without too much spoilerage, what do you think of it overall?

Beat it yesterday. Have to say its an excellent story, and a very solid game. I am not a fan of FPS's, but I really enjoyed this game, and look forward to them doing more in this series. They nailed what it feels like battling in the 40k universe.
Pretty nifty, Paizo now seems to have campaign pages. I've added both The Oremor Affliction and The Sons of Jericho to this structure. Hopefully they keep adding features like this for the PbP crowd.

Lol, no worries Rook. The whole thing looked bad at the set up. Though it is kinda of comforting to know that we knew we were walking into a trap. Instead of just constantly running with no clue. I'm just hoping Dunkans boys are in a position to help. Also wondering since there are so many corrupt Arbites here makes me wonder who all is still hiding it the shadows. From Iacton, and Sigmunt to possibly Johnnie and Sunshine. Think this is going to be a real slobber knocker...
Posting to distract myself following the apocalyptic collapse of my Red Sox tonight. Wow, back to tragedy in Beantown again, just like the good old days! No sympathy is expected, we have become what we always detested (the Yankees) and bought our team this year and paid the price for the hubris. The Rays were amazing down the stretch and deserve the spot.
Sorry if nobody is a baseball fan, its pretty much genetic up here. I just needed to vent a tad.
The good news is that I won't be distracted by the playoffs as much which in the end, means more posting for the games! :)
Yep, I can see your problem between those two groups, fanatics all the way. I'm one of the few sensible people who realize how spoiled us New Englanders are as far as sports are concerned over the last ten years or so. Win or lose, I've always enjoyed the NFL.
Sorry to leave you in suspense, Bal, but I'm going to retire for the night. Should be updates for both games tomorrow, possibly even during the day (on vacation this week) if I get a chance.
Yeah, I feel bad it has taken so long to squeeze Eradico in, I'm hoping to find a way to place him in the campaign after the current scenes in the Gran Pallazzar, depending on how they turn out.
Wow, its probably a good thing most of you guys are out west, because by the time I get the kids in bed and settled for some posts it is usually well past 8PM here, manages to give you a good window to reply if I end up posting a touch later. Rad gets even longer, as he is FAR west of all of us.
@Eradico: Yep, Wes Welker is amazing, funny little story about my annual fantasy football league. We usually draft in person, but this year because of scheduling issues, we had to do an online draft. Well, one of our less savvy managers managed to lock himself out of the draft and screw up his pre-rankings so that he ended up drafting Welker #3 overall, when he meant to draft Tom Brady. His rankings were so messed up he prioritized wide receivers over everything else in error and didn't even select a running back until the eight round. The crazy thing is, with the way Welker has been playing he is still 2-1 with and has scored the second most points in our league.
@Bal: Black Crusade arrived today. Was certainly worth the weight. That is not a typo. This is not a book, it is a TOME! I think it is heftier than all of the other core rulebooks, and looks amazing at first skim.
It's hard to believe it, but the Oremor Affliction turned two years old on Monday. I've always been a sucker for milestones, and what better way to celebrate than awarding some well-deserved XP!
Thanks for making this one of the best campaigns I've ever had the privilege to GM guys!
300 XP awarded.
Eradico:
Thanks for you patience, too, Eradico, and don't feel like you're being left out just because I'm slow to get you in. Please feel free to spend the XP as well on your nascent character.

Wow two years already. Shows that time flys when having fun. Gload to have been on this ride since the beginning. Enjoyed watching how all the characters have grown and evolved.
Well I know what I want to spend my Xp on. Farseer Disciple 200xp, and Speak Lang: Eldar 100xp.
ok for the advances I will take simple BS for 250 and Electrical Succor for 100, and Trade Smith for 100. This should get me to 2k xp finally and now named Secutor from the alternate advancement Mechanicus Secutor in the Inquisitors book.
Yep, Rad is the unsung hero for this campaign. Like Bal said, if it weren't for his original Dragon Crag Warhammer Fantasy Campaign we'd all still be 40K RPG junkies looking for a fix.
I wouldn't mind doing a reboot of that pbp as I have now the books again. But I recently returned to my old job hence I need to devote more of my time to work.
Nevertheless, if there is a clamor from victims... er... players, then I might just do that hehehe

May as well use the same old characters. Kol and Vulpert have been stuck in that Dwarven prison for two years waiting on our appeal. When you said you were going to have us roleplay it out we thought figuratively not literally Lol.

ROFL!!!
This little exchange had me laughing hysterically for about a minute straight...thanks for that guys, lol!
On the issue of a reboot, are you guys agreeable to boost up the XP to say, 3000 XP so you can be higher level PCs? Oh and you can remodel your PCs with any starting career you like.
