Lorm again wants to thank everyone for his concern. Also have some good news. While the infection initially got worse after the amputation. The antibiotics finally are doing there job, and the remaining infection has shrunk considerably. Doctors say he may be home as early as Wednesday if things continue on track.

Yeah will definately be interesting. Though at this point I think Sav will see if there is anything left of his friend. Faith and Hope are powerful things. If not he will salvage Johnnie's soul as best as he can. Most likely from a barrel of a gun. Sometimes I feel Sav and Johnnie'e part of the story is more like a soap opera. though always entertaining.

Watch this Video. Is this the way the Regenerate Psychic Power supposed to work?
haha! Can't wait to see you psychically sew your head back together after taking a slug to the face!!

Have fun, Rook :-)
Guys, is this movie a good inspiration for a dark heresy adventure?
Hmm, supposedly the best Clive Barker adaptation since the original Hellraiser, that is definitely worth checking out. I remember being really freaked out by this story when I read it as a teenager. It definitely sounds like a solid DH premise, too.

I do not own Rogue Trader but at the Borders that's closing near me I can get it cheap. Do I smell another campaign brewing? If so, I will go grab it!
Yes, I want to run a Rogue Trader PBP. I wanted to find out if there is interest in it. Though I am still in the planning stage.
For mapping purposes, I might just use a scanner and upload the pictures on Facebook. Visual aid has been the big problem for me in running a pbp.

I love the Rogue Trader series, but will be happy playing just about anything in the game. I will play the Rogue Trader if no one else wants the role, or gladly play one of the other archetypes, as I have concepts in mind for just about every one of them.
Oh, and I made my run at the Borders going out of business sale but soon realized I had missed the boat on almost all of the good stuff. The place was ransacked, and I only made out with a few fiction books (even these were thin at this point), a small supplement for WFRP looking real lonely on the RPG shelf (decimated but for 4ed D&D, *bleh*), and a bunch of expensive half-off Legos for my son (he was thrilled).
Guess I'll just time the inevitable Barnes and Noble closing sale better, lol.

Not sure what I want to play yet. Definately don't feel like being the Rogue Trader or a Psyker. Maybe something simple like an Ork Freeboota Lol.
And I was about to suggest that for you hehehe
(I recall you indicating that in one of your earlier posts.)
On a different note, anyone reading the Sundering Trilogy (Malekith, Shadow King and Caledor)?

I am. Excellent series so far. Finished Malekith, and the Shadow King so far. Also read The Bloody Handed, which is a novella that is a part of the series. Its about how Hellebron got started in the Cult of Khaine, and how she shaped it into her own vision.

How would you rate Shadow King?

I am interested in a Rogue Trader campaign, but I am waiting for what books will be used and what, if any optional rules are going to be used. Also, I want to see exactly what type of campaign it will be, because one of my ideas will not work in all types of RT campaigns.

Shadow King is alright. While the book went into great depth into the main character. I found many of the other characters to be very bland and shallow. Though it did show some good insight into Bel Shaanar. And a unique window into Morathi's character. I was very disappointed with how Hellebron, and her sister were portrayed. They were very one dimensional which is a real shame. Exspecially after reading "The Bloodyhanded".
Reading Dark Angel novels atm to help flesh out my Death Watch character with subtle nuances before I jump into reading Caldedor. Kind of a shame Gav decided to end the series. Would love to see a novel focused on Morathi. As she is the most complex character in the series.
If you can find the short story "Aenarion" I suggest reading it before the Shadow King. It gives important though brief insight into the Anar's. It is also an audiobook, but I always find I miss stuff when listening instead of reading.

Particularly with my notion of a Rogue Trader if that is what I end playing.
I want to blow up the dashing ne'er do well/down-on-his-luck-but-makes good/crusader of the Imperium stereotypes with something very different if Rad allows it.
At work right now, but will be posting when I get home in a couple of hours.

I'm happy to go with whatever you had in mind, Rad, the concept I had in mind will work regardless of setting or objective.
Here is one of my favorites from Al Swearengen:
"Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back."
