Also, we hit 3500 posts about 20 posts or so ago. I can't let this milestone pass without some recognition.
It has been some time (in the real-life scheme of time) since we granted Experience awards, so everyone please enjoy the holiday weekend with a 300 XP award. Please posts your advances in OOC. This goes for Eradico and Rad as well, to keep their characters up to par, I just ask that they email me their advances instead.
I am also open to Elite Advances based on character experience in the campaign so far for skills and talents that are not covered in your advancement profile. These can be submitted for discussion of viability and cost in OOC as well.

I would like to finally take Forbidden Lore: Xenos (Eldar). Have no idea on points though. Figure my skill should just be limited to Eldar only though. I don't think Sav would have a clue about Orks, Tau, Nids etc. His training was very focused.
Unless you think I should take Forbidden Lore:Black Library instead?
If I have points left over, I will grab Dodge +10.
As much as everyone would like Sav to read at this point it doesn't make sense for him to purchase it for the campaign as of yet.
And WooHoo we made it to Rank 4!

I am taking dodge + 10 for 100xp and Psy Rating 3 (surprise there) for 200 xp. The minor psychic powers I am taking are Deja Vu, Float, and Spectral Hands. The Psychic Discipline will be Telekinetics. The discipline power is Force Bolt. My rank is Savant Militant.

Just reporting in, I still need to read the other half of Oremor but it looks really interesting so far and starting to read the rule book for Dark Heresy and I got access to other books like 3 more Inquisitors, Radical's and blood of martyrs, my friend wouldn't let me have other books because they were mostly or totally Narrator material and I was not to be read or used >> may the heretic burn...
I'm drawn to the classes of Assassin and Guardsman I just need to read the how to create characters and basic mechanics at least also.

I decided to do a guardsman instead of an assassin

Divination http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3050782/
I was doing it as an assassin but I decided I wanted a guardsman since it could be more useful to have a vehicle driver and a good melee/ranged fighter.

OK Deiros, we'll start building the character and formulating an entry strategy for your. Guardsman should be pretty easy to introduce given the current situations with both groups.
I'd probably leave Albrek and Sgt. Einhardt as NPCs at this point, given that they've been developed quite a bit, but stepping into the role of one of the other guardsmen accompanying the Orcut VII acolytes is perfectly possible:
Chroyle: Older, hard-bitten, sarcastic medicae (currently with Savalos and Uriah beneath the Astropathic Choir.)
Pvt. Kotts: Quiet and dutiful comm officer of Sgt. Einhardt's squad (currently with Kaltos and Ivaanov in the bowels of the Vermillion Ring).
Hurchal: A hulking battle-hardened brute, the true epitome of the burly, martially inclined guardsman (also with Kaltos and Ivaanov).
Or, you could certainly step into a completely original character that would originate from the claustrum where Vincent presently is.

Sounds intriguing, Rad, care to elaborate further?
I'm thinking of running a game with characters from any of the 2 systems (DH/RT) [13,000XP] who do treasure hunting in the 40K universe. DH characters can be part of a Rogue Trader's retinue.
On a different matter, I will email you the new advances.

Count me as interested, Rad. I like the premise. It would be cool to play something again. That's the funny thing with this system, the setting lends itself to all manner of interesting, non-conventional story-lines.
Some of the ones that have crossed through my thought process over the last several months included an Imperial Guard based campaign, an homage to Necromunda that would essentially be a hive-gang based concept exploring organized crime themes, and finally, something similar to an Arbites/Noir crime serial.

I would be real tempted on playing an Ork. Honestly who wouldn't want to be in a treasure hunt more than a Freeboota or a Loota. Un' Iz kould hav fun butchirn' da humies language.
Course I would have to borrow the RT book to play one. Don't have that one yet.

If it comes to pass, Bal, I could certainly help you there. The Ork rules are excellent.

Stay tuned for the next CSI: Hives of Necromunda
On a more serious subject, yes I would be interested in this campaign style.

After watching this, can you say "arbitrators vs. scum in a hive war"
Can't wait for the Book of Judgment :-)
Balfic-graa |
Rook,
Sav wouldn't mind hoping down to the Under Hive to have some of his gangers post a guard at the Eldar Ruins to protect them from the filth returning. As in lots of fire. But ultimately its Uriah's decision on what he wants to do.
