Dark Heresy: The Oremor Affliction IC

Game Master Rookseye

It's true, I spent some already with a pre-order of Mark of the Xenos. I just wish they would hurry up and release the Daemon Hunters Handbook for this campaign, we've all been waiting on that one for a while.

Also, we hit 3500 posts about 20 posts or so ago. I can't let this milestone pass without some recognition.

It has been some time (in the real-life scheme of time) since we granted Experience awards, so everyone please enjoy the holiday weekend with a 300 XP award. Please posts your advances in OOC. This goes for Eradico and Rad as well, to keep their characters up to par, I just ask that they email me their advances instead.

I am also open to Elite Advances based on character experience in the campaign so far for skills and talents that are not covered in your advancement profile. These can be submitted for discussion of viability and cost in OOC as well.

Male Half-Orc 9th lvl Cleric, 4th lvl Ninja, 1st lvl Black Flame Zealot

I would like to finally take Forbidden Lore: Xenos (Eldar). Have no idea on points though. Figure my skill should just be limited to Eldar only though. I don't think Sav would have a clue about Orks, Tau, Nids etc. His training was very focused.

Unless you think I should take Forbidden Lore:Black Library instead?

If I have points left over, I will grab Dodge +10.

As much as everyone would like Sav to read at this point it doesn't make sense for him to purchase it for the campaign as of yet.

And WooHoo we made it to Rank 4!

Congratulations Rook :-)

Thanks, Rad, and congratulations to all my players who have reached Rank 4, you've truly earned it.

Male Catfolk Shade (magically altered human) Monk-8, Mage-16

I am taking dodge + 10 for 100xp and Psy Rating 3 (surprise there) for 200 xp. The minor psychic powers I am taking are Deja Vu, Float, and Spectral Hands. The Psychic Discipline will be Telekinetics. The discipline power is Force Bolt. My rank is Savant Militant.

Male Human Warhammer 40K GM

Bal, I'd say 200 XP is fair for the Forbidden Lore (Xenos/Eldar), considering it would be an elite advance and is narrower in application.

That leaves you enough for Dodge +10 as well, I'll update the sheet accordingly if this is the way you want to go.

Sounds good Lorm, the wiki should be updated with the new sheet shortly.

Just reporting in, I still need to read the other half of Oremor but it looks really interesting so far and starting to read the rule book for Dark Heresy and I got access to other books like 3 more Inquisitors, Radical's and blood of martyrs, my friend wouldn't let me have other books because they were mostly or totally Narrator material and I was not to be read or used >> may the heretic burn...

I'm drawn to the classes of Assassin and Guardsman I just need to read the how to create characters and basic mechanics at least also.

I'm going to hang onto the experience for now, unless something else comes up I'll save it for the 500XP advance to IN or WP.

Male Half-Orc 9th lvl Cleric, 4th lvl Ninja, 1st lvl Black Flame Zealot

Latest update for Daemon Hunter is out.

All I have to say is yikes, and I think we need some GK bodyguards Lol.

I particularly like the NPC sheets for daemons, I'll have to set up a form-field for these. I imagine they'll be handy for this campaign.

OK, Ellipsis, I'll update your sheet.

GM W.R. Monger

I decided to do a guardsman instead of an assassin

Stats: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3050660/
Money: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3050699/
Fate: http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3050691/
Divination http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3050782/

I was doing it as an assassin but I decided I wanted a guardsman since it could be more useful to have a vehicle driver and a good melee/ranged fighter.

Dark Archive

Male Human Warhammer 40K GM

OK Deiros, we'll start building the character and formulating an entry strategy for your. Guardsman should be pretty easy to introduce given the current situations with both groups.

I'd probably leave Albrek and Sgt. Einhardt as NPCs at this point, given that they've been developed quite a bit, but stepping into the role of one of the other guardsmen accompanying the Orcut VII acolytes is perfectly possible:

Chroyle: Older, hard-bitten, sarcastic medicae (currently with Savalos and Uriah beneath the Astropathic Choir.)
Pvt. Kotts: Quiet and dutiful comm officer of Sgt. Einhardt's squad (currently with Kaltos and Ivaanov in the bowels of the Vermillion Ring).
Hurchal: A hulking battle-hardened brute, the true epitome of the burly, martially inclined guardsman (also with Kaltos and Ivaanov).

Or, you could certainly step into a completely original character that would originate from the claustrum where Vincent presently is.

Well Im using the schola progenium as background thing to get skills and stuff.

Question: Have you ever wanted to play a treasure hunting game using Dark Heresy and Rogue Trader rules?

Dark Archive

GM W.R. Monger

The system looks interesting enough, tho I always wanted to play legend of the 5 rings hahaha but I would be into a treasure hunting with the dark heresy/deathwatch/rogue trader system.

Dark Archive

Male Human Warhammer 40K GM

Sounds intriguing, Rad, care to elaborate further?

Male Catfolk Shade (magically altered human) Monk-8, Mage-16

No pressure, Ellipsis.

I am still trying to figure out what I want. So may choices so little points ;-)

luminen charge for 100 and common lore Tech also 100

Noted, Kaltos. Don't forget you still have another 100 points. I owe you a post also, should be up tonight.

Dark Archive

Male Human Warhammer 40K GM

Eradico, I received your advances via email, sorry about the delayed response, but the schedule still has been hectic of late.

Rad, don't forget to email me with your advances as well. 300XP to spend.

NP I am keeping the last 150 for a later advancement. I was typing that when my firefox died on me and apparently saved.

I'm thinking of running a game with characters from any of the 2 systems (DH/RT) [13,000XP] who do treasure hunting in the 40K universe. DH characters can be part of a Rogue Trader's retinue.

On a different matter, I will email you the new advances.

Dark Archive

GM W.R. Monger

Rogue Trader basically ^^ another book I'll need to ask for lol

Count me as interested, Rad. I like the premise. It would be cool to play something again. That's the funny thing with this system, the setting lends itself to all manner of interesting, non-conventional story-lines.

Some of the ones that have crossed through my thought process over the last several months included an Imperial Guard based campaign, an homage to Necromunda that would essentially be a hive-gang based concept exploring organized crime themes, and finally, something similar to an Arbites/Noir crime serial.

Male Half-Orc 9th lvl Cleric, 4th lvl Ninja, 1st lvl Black Flame Zealot

I would be real tempted on playing an Ork. Honestly who wouldn't want to be in a treasure hunt more than a Freeboota or a Loota. Un' Iz kould hav fun butchirn' da humies language.

Course I would have to borrow the RT book to play one. Don't have that one yet.

Ellipsis! Hope you survive to tell this tale... you are neck deep right now! Hope the dice roller is with you!

If it comes to pass, Bal, I could certainly help you there. The Ork rules are excellent.

Dark Archive

Yup, the system does lend itself well to other non-conventional storylines. I have thought of an arbites/crime inspired by the Infernal Affairs and The Departed.

Note: I will have to revise the XP level for the proposed DH/RT Treasure Hunt. 13,000 is way too high.

@Bal, I luv dem freebootaz.

Stay tuned for the next CSI: Hives of Necromunda

On a more serious subject, yes I would be interested in this campaign style.

After watching this, can you say "arbitrators vs. scum in a hive war"

Can't wait for the Book of Judgment :-)

Sent you an email, Rad.

Rook,

Sav wouldn't mind hoping down to the Under Hive to have some of his gangers post a guard at the Eldar Ruins to protect them from the filth returning. As in lots of fire. But ultimately its Uriah's decision on what he wants to do.

We will split up,I will go to the govenor with the sergeant. Savalos and the other npc will go to Duct Wolves to set up protection for the fountain. Then will set up a rendevouz at the Gran Pallazar.

Absolutely no hurry, Deiros, so take your time. Again, as I've told all the others right along, play what you would like to play, and we'll make it work.
