Tbblbitz |
Frustrated, but not wanting to keep the others from all the fun, the tiny green woman flies back across the water.
The line goes to the island and then disappears under a tree. Tree is too big for me to lift. There is a tiny hole there, too small even for me. Weird monkeys are in the tree. Some weird two legged lizards with no heads, but instead giant mouthes full of nasty teeth. I didn't think they looked like they wanted to have a conversation.
Eina |
"Well, odds are Mr. Woody here is safe if they have nasty teeth. Sounds like the rest of us might be a nice snack for them." Elaina says as she rubs her temples.
Tbblbitz |
Tbblbitz looks at the wooden man:
Don't worry Wood Man, I think that these snake-lizard-toothy things would attack anything that comes near. Oh yea, and the weird monkeys, they have too many arms.
Ibrox Redcap |
"Howfur ur we getting o'er th' loch? Anythin' dangerous in th' loch?"
Tbblbitz |
Tbblbitz scratches her head at Ibrox's question:
Hmmm, I didn't see any locks. If you mean in the lake, there are a lot of rocks, but nothing that appeared dangerous. Of course we just saw with the crab that danger can be hiding anywhere around here.
Would Shrink Item work on Shield? I should be able to shrink 12 cubic feet of material (6 levels I think), which is probably about the volume of the golem.
Just wondering as Ibrox is small anyway and everyone else I think can fly, other than Wolf. If Wolf cast enlarge person on Eina, I would think that we could all fly across the water, with Eina carrying Wolf, Nora carrying Ibrox, and me carrying a shrunk Shield.
Tbblbitz |
True, but if there is something under the water that the spastic atomie missed when flying to and from the island, we do not want him to have to face it alone. And since none of us can breath underwater other than shield, I think that avoiding the water is the preferable option.
Eina |
"Wolf, what kind of madhouse did you bring us to?" Eina asks, her voice muffled by her hands.
Decr'klunk'rd |
"If we get to the monkeys, I can convince them to leave us alone. Probably."
Add me to the list that can't fly, unless I expend my wild shape for the day. Since Shield is made of wood, could non-flyers use him as a boat?
Wolf - Martikio |
He chuckles to himself, "As I have already explained, it was not me who brought us here. He thought it would be worth our time. Likely another time travelor. Sorry I was analyzing this rock." He points out another of the strange green rock formations off to the side. He walks over and thinks about the predicament.
GM Wolf |
Shrink Item would not work on Shield, unless you really think it would then I will look into it, he is not an object. Shield sinks, he does not float to my knowledge, perhaps you could ask him in character. He would know best.
Nora could likely carry Ibrox.
Eina with a strength of 26 can carry 306 pounds which includes her weight, gear, and the weight of any fellow passengers. Thus taking Wolf and maybe Decr'.
Leaving behind Ibrox's wolf, Decr's ape, and Shield.
Decr'klunk'rd |
I'd prefer not leaving behind Oua, even if it means Decr has to swim across.
Decr stands very still for a little while, his gaze slowly shifting to stare at Shield.
"Shield, as your vessel is made of wood, do you float or sink? Could you carry the weight of Ibrox, myself, and our companions on the water if you were to float, or even swim?"
Tbblbitz |
Eina with a strength of 26 can carry 306 pounds which includes her weight, gear, and the weight of any fellow passengers. Thus taking Wolf and maybe Decr'.
Couldn't she carry 612? I think that your carrying capacity is x2 if size large
The Golem |
"This unit's construction involved carefully treating the wood with lacquers to prevent rot and water damage. These elements are now too dense for buoyancy," Shield rumbled. "If needed, this unit could tow a floating object via a rope. Something such as a suitably buoyant tree limb."
Shrink Item will not affect him.
Eina |
GM Wolf wrote:Couldn't she carry 612? I think that your carrying capacity is x2 if size large

Eina's medium (and only has a strength of 24). She's pretty small, only a bit taller than five feet, with an eight foot wingspan.
Eina |
Oh, oops. Forgot about that.
Wolf - Martikio |
"Well lets try it then. Eina you are fine with me or someone else Enlarging you? Once that is done she will see who she can fly with, Nora see if you can fly with Ibrox or perhaps me."
This will require us to figure out our own weights and see if this can be done.
Decr'klunk'rd |
Decr had been unusually fidgety for a bit, finally bringing up an idea he had intentionally been holding back.
"I could also...throw some across. It's not that far."
Wolf - Martikio |
"You can throw someone 100 feet?! Do you have a spell that makes that possible?" Wolf asks unable to believe Decr'.
118 lbs with 28 lbs of equipment = 146 lbs.
Decr'klunk'rd |
Decr laughs uneasily.
"I don't need a spell to throw someone. I can't promise a soft landing, though. It might help if we can shrink them somehow."
With 21 Strength, I can lift up to 460 lbs over my head or 153 lbs as a light load. Rock throwing enables me to throw an object with 120 feet range increments (or up to 600 feet). I'd take odd-sized weapon penalties, but I do also have throw anything, so I wouldn't take penalties on an improvised weapon. It would mean a +6 overall to throw a medium sized object, plenty enough to target land. I could be wrong about how this affects creatures, though. There aren't any rules for or against it that I could find.
Tbblbitz |
As she buzzes around, Tbblbitz suddenly has an idea.
I can make people small if that will help. Of course, you have to be a person and not a demon or monkey.
After saying this, she flits about trying to determine whether her magic will work on anyone other than Eina.
Not sure if anyone else is humanoid.
Wolf - Martikio |
"Rock Throwing, how interesting. Remember I don't know your abilities like you think I do. Tbblbtz how many more times can you shrink people? So I can be carried by Nora likely as Eina carries Decr'. I don't think we will be able to shrink Shield. Nora, Eina, Ibrox and I will move over first and wait for our first ally to be flung before we land. Decr' should I enlarge you or keep the spell for later?" He says with a sly grin, thinking about who the reduce person spell will affect but let's the fey have her fun.
Decr'klunk'rd |
Note: reducing me in size reduces my carrying capacity and weapon size, affecting who I can throw. So, can I be shrunk after I throw some people?
Decr prepares to throw Ibrox's wolf and his Ape (ugh..large. Wish I had a figurine for the ape to reduce to), readying himself as well for any others that prefer this method of travel.
With range increment penalties, it becomes +4 for the wolf and +2 for the Ape...if I can throw him, given his weight of between 350 and 400 pounds. Each thrown character counts as a thrown two handed weapon, thus takes a full turn, should action start.
GM Wolf |
She can dismiss it as a standard action or you can try to resist it, Will Save DC ... ask her.
Remember you may make an acrobatics check to negate some falling damage. I think 3d6 damage would be appropriate.
The water has no ripples in it ever. Even when a light breeze comes by the water stays still. Nearly no movement can be seen besides your group and the shadows on the island.
Tbblbitz |
Tbblbitz laughs at Wolf's question.
How many times? I can do it all day. Once I found four bullies picking on a little kid. You should have heard those four squeal, like little pigs, as their former victim chased them back into town.
Wolf - Martikio |
"Just rewards I would have to say Tbblbitz. Nora you want to see if you can lift me with you?" Wolf says wondering if this will work.
Tbblbitz |
Tbblbitz touches Wolf turning him into the size of a small Chihuahua.
Should make carrying you much easier there Wolf man. The atomie giggles. Or should I say Wolf puppy.
Eina |
Eina snorts at Tbblbitz joke before going to see if she can lift Dec'r.
Nora Brim |
"I can certaintly try... though Can't say I'm the strongest person here." Nora says with a shrug, and wanders over to wolf.
"Okay become cute and cuddly wolf!" She demands, setting herself to take wolf over to the island.
Wolf - Martikio |
He smiles up at her, "Here we go!"
Wolf quickly casts Enlarge Person on Decr' to make sure he can throw everyone without wings or a ride over.
Tbblbitz |
Tbblbitz then goes to Decr'.
Ready to be a micro-monkey? Let me know when you are prepared.
Assuming that Decr agrees, she will cast Reduce Person on the Sasquatch and then prepare to fly with the rest of the group so that she can make everyone big again if necessary.
Tbblbitz |
Enlarged Eina should be able to carry 400lbs, can't she? I am not sure why we want to toss people, but I would think that there should be some damage, maybe not as much as falling, but some damage if people are thrown.
Eina can carry like 612 pounds (as a light load) when enlarged. It might take 2 loads, but she should be able to take Shield and Ibrox on one trip. At the same time, Nora can carry mini-Wolf and mini-Decr. That should get us all across. Then, if all is safe, Eina can fly back and grab the wolf and gorilla, which together should not weigh 600 pounds unless they are huge.
Decr'klunk'rd |
Good plan. Sorry if I slowed things down. Intelligence is Decr's low score.
Decr reluctantly agrees with Tbbl'z latest plan, realizing it might not be best to start throwing people, especially with trees and rocks close to the landing point.
Though he worries about leaving the two animals behind, he figures the two can defend themselves long enough for Eina to return to them.
GM Wolf |
Nora Brim |
Well that's not an ominous looking map or anything.
Nora quickly flits across with Wolf and Decr clutched against her breast.
As she approaches the island she quickly scans it looking for any likely trouble.
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
GM Wolf |
The creatures with the massive maws full of teeth come to greet you, though they want you to stay for dinner.
At this point we will go into rounds...
Round 1
24 Ibrox
21 Eina
20 monkeays
17 Shield
16 Maw creatures
15 Nora
13 Tbblbtz
10 Wolf
7 Decr'
At this point the passengers can either delay their action until their carryer lands, make a readied action, or simply wait until on solid ground.
Ibrox Redcap |
Round 1
Ibrox waits to be feet dry and jumps down next to one of the maw creatures and strikes at it. In the background, he can hear an old redcap song called 'Ride of the Valkyries.' He starts whistling the tune as he cleaves into one of the creaures.
Delay until he can jump down next to a maw creature
Acrobatics (jump): 1d20 + 25 ⇒ (16) + 25 = 41
ready sword and shield as free action during move action using two weapon fighting
+1 Celestial Mithral Medium longsword vs. maw creature: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22
if hit, damage: 1d8 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12
Eina |
Round 1: Move to land on the first groups southern flank. Free to drop Ibrox and Sheild. Standard to draw sword.
Eina swoops down to where she can safely land and drops both Idrox and Sheild off before drawing her sword.
Tbblbitz |
Sorry, thought you would have the monkeys go first since they are before me in the order.
Seeing her red capped companion jump down, Tbblbitz dives in with her rapier drawn.
If you were any uglier, you would scare yourselves to death.
Fight defensive w/crane style: AC28
Attack-rapier: 1d20 + 14 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 14 + 2 = 33 <--2 charge
Damage: 1d2 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (1) + 1 + (1) = 3 <-- sneak if FF
The Golem |
Slam 1, PA: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
3d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 5, 1) + 12 = 23
Slam 2, PA: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19
3d6 + 12 ⇒ (5, 1, 6) + 12 = 24
With all the subtlety of a boulder, Shield slams both arms down at the snapping maw-thing.
Wolf - Martikio |
Wolf just waits for an opportune time to cast a spell or until they are landed. He is not for sure if his magics are needed here or not.
GM Wolf |
SPATTER!!!
The creature before Shield and Ibrox become paste on the ground before them.
OVERKILL!!! ;)
Tbblbtz gets a hit in on one of them but barely makes a pin prick on the thing.
The others roar at Shield an Ibrox before they charge towards you.

Eina takes a vicious bite to her leg and is grappled by the blue abberation. Ibrox takes much the same but the mouth takes hold of one leg and his side. The little fey is able to dodge the attacks as she spins in place.
