Now that the croc is finished Arasmes can take Isani aside to finish the conversation before going to sleep.

In Osiriani

Osiriani:
Forgive the interruption of the crocodile but I wished to respond to you. I definitely understand and agree with your sentiments. There is far too much prejudice in this land of supposed tolerance over race and the ignorance of purpose. I see a good heart within you and as such judge you based upon that. I do not believe Sarenrae would permit a disciple without such a good heart as you possess. Neither of us is really looked upon with welcome...more of a hesitant acceptance at best or scorn and derision in my case when it comes to the halfling. I am very glad to have found you at least who seems to see beyond the markings of my flesh to the being that resides within.

Building is one tough nut - despite the weathering - the construction was from an earlier age - and the design similar to Cloudwatch Keep - very sturdy - the full impact of the damage barely did 1/3 of the HP to the front wall... It's not good - but you'll be fine tonight - provided that the place doesn't catch fire.

However - with a few "Create Water" Orisons - that should be easily remedied.

Also - the croc is smoldering, but it is hardly an inferno - rather; a bright blaze on the beach and a tall pillar of smoke in the black of the night is all that remains.

It should be noted - the time is now (roughly) 1:15 AM - which means that a full 8 hour bed rest for arcane casters would be complicated... unless they did not mind getting up a bit late... ?

Heading to bed, have a great night all.

Sounds good - for now - Brett encourages you to cast it a few times - if only to dampen the stench and wash it away to the beach away from your bunks.

Meanwhile -

Gang - it's pretty much wrap up.

Toss up what social RP you feel best - and in the meantime, we'll be going from there. Aside from a few generic skill checks - I'm now in the process of compiling notes - and you'll know better what happens when I mail it all out to you.

But that doesn't mean that chatter should be discouraged - far from it!

The more stuff you get done now - the better it is for the crew... Remember - you have some loose ends... The sooner you solve them - the better it is for all of you.

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Ariarh begins casting create water (3 times) in order to staunch/remove the smell of burning flesh and such from close to the guard house building ...

"One thing to remember - the croc be dead; we know it - they don't... if there be any last bit o' scum to finish - it's likely they'll be asleep on the tiller, mainly because they're likely to count on the croc to watch the waters... They won't know it's already dead... we can take 'em by surprise - as it were..." Brett says with a tired yawn.

"But - we may want to think about hitting two birds with one stone, as it were... Maybe we leave a few on the island here - to rest up... and then send a lad or two over to Galen - let him know what's going on - bring him any supplies that he may need... Then we send out folk to the mainland to fetch the kobolds - and whoever else needs a hand... Once we do that - we be alright... But, I reckon we can wait until morning... Anyone think we need a watch, or can we just bar the door and call it a night?"

Brett glances around, then drags his tired bones to the bed and prepares to "sack out".

Depending on how late you decide to sleep - it is possible to get 8 hours of bed rest - but you will be sleeping in to - roughly - 9:30 AM - at which point the more martial characters who don't need to pray for spells can head about their business, as it were... while the others sit back and pray/meditate...

It should be noted: all characters who sleep a full 8 hours of bed rest gain 1 HP per level + Con... You will remain on level 6 until you return to Saravale - at which point - you level with a complete fanfare and reward... hopefully...

I am not angry with you, I have simply spent more time with elder tutors and in study and have never had a true friend, apart from my Lady Sarenrae who guides and protects me. I have only recently come to these lands and they are foreign and disorienting. If you require a friend, I am open to trying to be one to you. I will listen and teach, guide. This night I was seeking a private space for words with a person who is growing into a friend. When I saw you watching me, reading my lips, it concerned me for I grew up in Sothis where spies lie every shadow. I did not care for the scrutiny and did not understand the reason. I believe I am beginning to now. Let us end this night on good terms because for each divide there must be a bridge. We will speak again tomorrow. Tisbah ala kheir, sadiqati."

In Osiriani… for now…:

”Spies are prevalent in many places – but, I have determined to realign my honor and shall not go that route as a spy might. It strikes me as… indirect – and possibly wrong. While I observed the serpent goddess yonder several days ago – I and others came to an epiphany; we have been beings without good purpose. We followed the god Amun – who is dead – but there are other gods – and other Amun – and they live yet. It is… We would be best served to follow the best god – and we claim the one called Anuk-su as our god now – though, in truth – those who honor her divinity are branded traitor by Amun – and are now dead for their faith.”

”Even so – I shall not depart from the way of the goddess – she calls to mind the duality of the sisters By that you think she refers to the sisters Isis and Nephthys. After all – the silver one was the protector of the dead; do you see how the snake girl is keen to the wiles of the dead? Her sister – the golden one – she was the goddess of magic and rulers – even so; the golden one with the topaz eyes? She rules – even as the golden goddess – and did you mark how they are different as sun and moon – yet call themselves sisters? Lady – this cannot be coincidence… Mark well too, the beast men – the Anubis - they see now their new master in the golden goddess – as I see mine own in the silver goddess… So it is – I cannot dishonor the goddess with mean or base actions as spying on allies to the goddess – I shall be honorable – for it is my new calling, as she has liberated my ka, so I must now follow her - golden goddess, silver goddess!

Isani – this hodge-podge of odd religious prattle is not so unusual – many more basic or rudimentary southern cultures – as well as rural or barbaric northern cultures – ascribe “levels of divinity”. Indeed – in Osirain culture there are multiple gods that are revered – but not necessarily worshipped as “True Gods” – for example; House Gods – local gods that protect a house, or protect a family – almost like a ghost that watches over you… In this you are very familiar – though you do not see your ghostly ally as a true “god” – rather, you observe her as a powerful being with unusual powers that you petition for aid – and offer thanks when she provides it, and sometimes even when she doesn’t. You have heard of northern clans worshipping “gods of groves” – or “gods of rivers” – or “gods of lakes” – and so on. Each of these divinities are generally localized in terms of power – some priests going to holy groves, or a holy mountain – or other such things. These are far more “basic” religious ideas – but they are not without merit. You have heard of them before – though they are generally out of practice with civilized culture. Bottom line – you sense no official blasphemy in Anaitis – rather; you sense a determination to the best she can with what she’s got.

Anaitis keeps referring to the golden one with topaz eyes. Yet Ariarh has sapphire eyes. ;)

Ariarh Kane wrote:

Very true... :)

Indeed! That is very curious - but then, it is likely that is a local colloquialism - while strange to Ariarh - no doubt Isani could explain it with ease...

There are several things to consider:

Topaz is very unique and valuable to many desert people - while sapphire is not generally as well known or appreciated.

Now, although topaz has many colors - blue topaz is generally found in rock formations on or near volcanoes - and blue topaz is the rarest and - therefore - most valuable; clearly your eyes point to your rarity and value.

Also, as you were "discovered" right next to a volcano (even like blue topaz is discovered) - she merely sees this as more evidence of Fate drawing you together... your eyes are like blue topaz - because both those stones and your eyes are found by volcanoes.

In Arabic (Khatapesh?) - topaz is also considered the root word for: "the subject of the search" - Anaitis is currently on a holy pilgrimage, and found her "Goddess" in Anuk-su, your twin sister!

However, another root word in Sanskrit for Topaz is "Heat" or "Fire" - which makes good sense to her, as she sees your "fire/passion" behind your eyes.

Now - Sapphire's tend to come from more "jungly" areas - on earth places like Thailand, Sri Lanka, even Eastern Australia!

You do not think she hales from such types of terrain...

Also - while sapphire has many uses, an alchemist can easily determine how to artificially produce/create sapphires - a complex but not overly difficult process - and one that would not overly inflate the value of the stone to Anaitis.

No - she knows sapphire's through rumor - but to a desert girl who observed an potential avatar of Isis leading troops to rescue her "Sister" by the foundations of a fiery volcano - she is confident that the color must be "blue topaz..."

Of course - such an explanation would be very complex - but she could communicate it through Isani with some ease...

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Blue Topaz is a beautiful light blue stone. Quite different to the deep/vivid blue hue of the sapphire. But I can be forgiving based on Anaitis' limited geographical and geological knowledge. ;)

Well - to be fair - she's only limited to the knowledge of THIS plane... On her Plane Blue Topaz is clearly a darker, far more vivid and potent, rich shade of blue...

to Isani:
Yes but do they not understand that they create self fulfilling prophecies by pushing away those that may be allies in their prejudice? Had I treated the halfling the way he has treated me, I would have been run out of this group long ago. But I constantly swallow my tongue and the one time I did let it go, it was I that was the bad one. The injustice is just so...frustrating. that and this silly hypocrisy about divine magic being acceptable but arcane not is just ridiculous to me. Both are tools and gifts to better the world around you. Either in the wrong hands can be deadly. Ariarh has at the least treated me with respect though her defense of the hollbyt is trying at times. She let's him get away with saying and treating those around him with insults and derision. I see the potential for a good leader in her, though I must say I do not see as much as I see in you. In any case it is time to rest as I am exhausted from the day. Sleep well and wake, Sadiqati.

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

The rest of the night was uneventful and in the morning after prayers, meditations and breakfast, the party were ready to leave for the western mainland and find the silver kobolds.

Mister had been dispatched early in the morning; a note for Galen attached to one of his tiny legs. It briefly advised the apprentice what had come to pass and the party's plan to travel to the western side of the mainland to the prison beneath the ruins. His teacher Shaezon gave the young apprentice a choice: to remain where he was and wait for the group's return or to pack up and join them. The answering message would be relayed through the pseudodragon when he returned to the island.

As Ariarh sipped her honey tea, she looked toward Anaitis and asked politely, "We require direction to the prison beneath the ruins on the mainland. Will you aid us in rescuing our kobold brethren, Anaitis?"

After Anaitis answers, she turns to Isani and speaks on the Anumi, "I rely on you, Priestess Isani, to be my voice when commanding the Anumi. When we return to Saravale I would seek a boon from you, I would like to learn your native tongue. It would seem Osiriani is a language I must make myself familiar with if I am to command the Anumi, amongst other things. Please have them ready to march; their strength and ability may come in useful if we come across further guards on the western mainland."

Looking for the Holbyt councilman, she finds him clearing up. "Brett, do you think that there may be traps placed on the prison cells? I cannot believe it will be as simple as walking in and just letting our friends out. I remember what happened with the chains placed around Anuk-su. I would see us come through this with little injury. I will rely on you or Kae to sort any traps you may detect."

Out of the corner of her eye she sees the leathery wings of Mister settling himself about Shaezon's shoulders.

"What is Galen's reply, Shaezon?"

F Elf Spellbinder Conjuration (teleport) Wiz 1

"I too have got to learn that language. If I had known it thus far it would have been extremely useful."

Isani pondered the idea of the sisters Isis and Nepthys and the resemblance in character and physicality to Ariarh and Anuk-su: the Golden Sun Goddess and the Goddess of the Moon and Mistress of the Night. If Ariarh embodied Isis, then there was a close link to her beloved Sarenrae through a mutual affiliation with the Sun.

In Osiriani to Anaitis:

"You have shown me a perspective I had not considered, Anaitis nes-Ma'at. Indeed the Lady Ariarh and Princess Anuk-su have a bond, forged not of blood but of trust and love, sisters at heart. I serve the Lady Ariarh for she leads the ruling council and lands I now reside within. My goddess is Sarenrae, chosen by me and chosen for me by my father, a Priest dedicated to the grace of the Everlight. If you and your people anoint the dragon princess as your chosen god then may the Light guide you along your new path. Anuk-su is young for her ancient history. The Lady Ariarh tries to guide her as an elder sister is oft to do. Will your people follow Princess Anuk-su back to Saravale, the capital, and her home? There are some there who revere the god Apsu and through him, the dragon princess. I believe the capital allows freedom to worship any chosen god on the provision the god is good. Evil gods and acts will not be tolerated in the capital. Will you dedicate your service to the Holbyt Councilman, Brett Rowan?"

In Osiriani to Arasmes:

"A leader faces many challenges, as you are aware, sadiqi. The Lady Druid is no different. She weighs the good and the bad and makes a decision in the moment. From what little I have observed and learned, Lady Ariarh places great trust in those closest to her, including Councilman Rowan. Do not be too unkind in your assessment of her virtues and intentions. She is not blind to his weaknesses; only last night she defended you when he harshly questioned your gratitude to the healers. Personal experiences shape a creature and the councilman's censure and hesitance when it comes to you may not be a personal insult, simply demonstrating a mistrusting, suspicious nature in general. If we must prove ourselves to be accepted and acceptable, then we can only be ourselves and hope it is enough. The Lady Druid relies on all of us to aid her in nurturing the values espoused in the capital. And a hand only works effectively if the fingers and thumb move as one. You are too kind with how your eyes see me -- for I am no leader, simply a vessel, a willing messenger for my Lady Sarenrae. Your past, sadiqi, has forged an inner strength. You will find a solution to this puzzle, with the grace of the gods. Sleep well, Foreign Ambassador, for tomorrow is a new day. Salam alekum."

Your pardon - sahib - even though a person may know many tongues - it is often best to speak in the one of their birthing. I can bend my tongue 'round this - but in my heart I long for a speaker of my native tongue, if only to remind me of home by speaking the words of my youth. I am sure they meant no insult," Anaitis interrupts, bowing politely to Brett and Ariarh, even as she dons her gear - and her "cut down" robes are now more styling, fitting her better, having received some modest tailoring in the night.

You observe also that she is currently carrying - in addition to the magic sword and armor that was left of the battlefield - the bronze dagger. It is currently dangling from her belt.

"Yeah - well... maybe... It rankles me a lot when people stand in front of me talking words they know I can't understand - then be all Huh? What? They don't want me to know what they be saying... well; it ain't very perlite, that be all..."

Female

Anaitis, her eyes narrowing at the sudden tension from Brett, looks into his eyes, seeing his frustration and annoyance.

"Ah - but sahib - they spoke no insult - they are good people... their words are not insulting - and they only wish to be friends with you..." she says, her voice soft, lilting, and somewhat sweet, even as her hand slides before Brett's eyes gently in a small - almost hypnotic - wave.

"Huh - yeah - you're right... they are good people - their words are not insulting - and they really do only wish to be friends with me... " Brett responds somewhat dully.

"Well; I guess maybe I be too hard on 'em all..." he mutters to himself.

"Hey you - Rasmes' - sorry for all the hard words - tell you what - while we wait for the gang here to make their prayers and such - want to... I don't know... patch up the bad blood? We can go down to the dock and maybe fetch some fish from the lake - or try to? What do you say? I hear Osiriani folk enjoy lots o' fish - you want a bit? Oh - what I be saying... You got your things to study and prepare for... well - go about it then; I'll rustle up some fresh fish for breakfast - and I'll bring it back post-haste - if I can - sort of a peace offering, as it were?" Brett says politely, as Anaitis smiles at him, then catches Ariarh's eye - and bows to her - her bow representing a more... penitent posture then the more proper salute she has been offering Brett.

And with that - I'm off to work - good hunting gang! I hope to see lots of writing by the time I get home! Good stuff - fun stuff - story stuff. What's on the mainland? Surprise me! What happens with Galen - you tell me! You don't have to deal with much - I just want it believable - and fun... I'll tweak out any changes when I get home - if I need to. But - as I say - good hunting! I expect lots of fun potential - you guys can surprise me with what I discover when you get back; think "Chernobyl diaries" - coupled with "Frankestein" - but toss in some happy endings in there - and we should do just fine. Okay - eager to see more tonight!

Arasmes eyes narrow a bit at being alluded to being a racist, he speaks the halfling tongue after all so he knew what Brett said, but lets the matter go after Anaitis's response. He brightens considerably when Brett offers to put the bad blood behind them and says I would like that very much. Well - this is a no-holds barred, anything goes, completely unexpected world... Also - as a private person, my father finished reading me The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings (among other books) by the time I was 6 - roughly 1981... So - hobbits have always been personally interesting to me - I'm eager to have them in the game, even if Brett is a bit "off" for standard hobbits (he's kind of supposed to be a combination of Merry, Sam - and, to a lesser extent Porthos, from the Three Musketeers).

But I'm glad to keep things interesting :)

Ariarh grew still and watched intently. Brett was not known for changing his opinion on something as quickly as he appeared to just now. Something was not quite right and her attention was drawn to Anaitis' proximity to her Holbyt friend.

Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

I have a question for the GM, Anaitis has the bronze dagger but on last account Dior had it and was taking it to Kae or Clari. He would not have dropped it as his mistress was quite specific in her instruction. So how is it that Anaitis has the dagger now? If Dior did not succeed in giving it to the half elf or elf then he would have given it to Ariarh.

After her private conversation with Anaitis,

"As we move up the pathway and rim of the volcano, do not tread too closely to the dark altar. It is not safe and our first priority is to make our way as quickly as we can to the skiffs and cross to the western side of the mainland. I do not want to waste any more time waiting around for we do not know what condition the kobolds are in and how securely they are being guarded. We may still have the advantage and I would keep it."

Isani lightly touches the Foreign Ambassador's arm and speaks quietly, for his ears only,

in Celestial to Arasmes:
"Do you not find it peculiar that the Councilman had a change of heart only moments after condemning us for speaking our native tongue? Is this a common reaction?" Isani wondered at the turnaround and the meaning of it all.

After hearing Arasmes' response to her question, she moves closer to the Lady Druid and Anaitis nes-Ma'at. Lady Ariarh was not in the habit of drawing a person to the side and the expression on the Aasimar's beautiful face made her unsettled. She wondered at their new companion and would pay closer attention to Anaitis nes-Ma'at in order to learn more about the female.

Perhaps, peculiar but if he is willing to bury the hatchet so to speak, then I will definitely give him the opportunity. But no it's not a common reaction I don't think.

Brett seems to have accepted Anaitis's argument without question - almost as if she managed to convince him simply because of her well thought out words alone... But, to Ariarh - those words were not so crafty, or so cleverly put together... There may be more afoot - perhaps she shall share?

Anaitis bows low before Ariarh.

”Your pardon, lady – I do not speak well your words. But I try.”

”You ask two questions – but in answering the second, I think the first is clearer.”

”The eye is the window into the ka – as you know doubt know – if it is befuddled, then the ka is readily fooled. An adept person may therefore attempt to… to… ah! A person may cloud the window, and the ka cannot have access to the light so well, yes?”

”If the window is fogged, then it cannot let in the light? To make the vision cloudy is not difficult – one must merely draw the attention the focus to something other then the words – if speech is made… how you say… if the words are spoken when the full concentration is not on them – they have a way of getting easier to the heart of the matter, yes?”

”The hairfoot is my sahib now – I would not see him rankled – so I encouraged him to believe in peaceful means. Yet instead of his mind directed for anger or argument, I called his attention to other things – he did not focus on argument – but rather, on my suggestion – and it was that suggestion that encouraged him to peace.”

”Now I think you know the first answer, too? Very good – as the Ithilid do so say… ”I can be very persuading…”,” she adds the last with a touch of humor, jesting somewhat with Ariarh, smiling at her – well pleased with her action, and glad that she has assisted the party.

Whatever you may believe about the truth of those words - what is clear is that Anaitis is not trying to hide anything - and is trying to be as forthcoming as possible. You also sense that she isn't ashamed or embarrassed, rather; she is acting like someone who is generally proud of their actions and as if to say "Hey - not bad, eh? No need to thank me - I was just doing my job :) Indeed, she reminds you of a child who's trying to impress the teacher with a very well done project - a little shy, a little nervous - but very excited to demonstrate the results.

Ka'etil assisted in making preparations for the evening. When Clari approaches Ariarh, and Anuk Su begins preaching about her Brother, Kae stepped away from the proceedings glancing in the direction of the rest of the party as they all seemed to gather around the girls, and moves to take his rest on his own. His eyes are closed as Brett calls out warning that the crock is charging.

Rising with his bow, Kae plants two arrows in the reptile as it rushes the tower. Then returns to the same place to sleep.

"Ithilid? what are those?" Kae asks, somewhat detached. This girl seemed to be attached to Brett in a similar manner akin to Dasha and Drake, yet now she manipulates him, so it seems? These southerners do not make a strong showing of themselves. Arasmes hides his identity, the Osiron of the Black Koda only speak in double-talk and deception, this one is manipulative and indirect. Interesting culture.

Ithilid, what are those?

Your sudden recollection; regarding that data...:

Illithid – often called “Mind Flayers” – are a race of beings – creatures that are, in fact aberrations. They come from the ancient world – some lore masters suggest that these creatures are a race of beings, others say a race of demi-gods – but all agree that the Fate of those creatures is tightly linked to the monsters known simply as “The Old Ones” – even so… rumor has it that "Mind Flayers" can speak the language of Aklo – and of course Aboleth... Perhaps an odd coincidence?

Of course – no such creature has ever really been witnessed (that you know of) – only nightmarish rumor bandied in dark cults to advance to the population...

Even so – rumor suggests these creatures are often believed to be dark monsters of profound evil – whose faces have long tentacles which reach forward the skull of a humanoid mind… The tentacles are said to be probing, seeking – always eager to feast…

These creatures seek to feast on the mind of a sentient being, leaving the then ruined mind naked, empty and completely undone – an insane, gibbering lunatic – a being that becomes quite mad – broken, twisted… a mindless slave, with no will, only nightmarish insanity to tremble in its head; warped; broken; beaten – and ever-so malleable to the masters who have feasted on the psyche so adroitly… Masters ready to drive them to a purpose, though what that damnable purpose may be - none have ever told the true tale... only that such folk; made insane - were forced to become slaves for the rest of their lives, before the lunacy destroyed them utterly.

So, naturally – Anaitis’s comment about an Illithid being “very persuasive” could be construed as – at best – a very dry joke.

Note: More could be discovered on this subject – with a higher roll – however; it should be pointed out that if anyone is reading this data WITHOUT rolling the roll – I trust that the knowledge will be kept secret.

Finally – Kae/Clari – you two remember, it is roughly 10:00 AM when this conversation would have happened, Brett has just decided its about time he got up and made some breakfast, as opposed to arguing with Arasmes… It is, after all – fairly early, but by no means late at night when this happens.

Turning to Khang, Dhoj and Grod, she asks politely, "Our young apprentice Galen is on the eastern mainland waiting, monitoring and tending to our horses. I understand you are not fond of water yet I ask for your assistance, as his teacher requires the boy's attendance on the final leg of our quest. I can send with you one of my Councilman, Brett Rowan, and he will make the necessary introductions and advise the boy of our plans to rescue the kobolds. We are unsure if more of the enemy will ride to the dwellings found on the mainland and we have secured our horses in one of the old outbuildings. Would you mind remaining on the mainland with the horses until our return? You have great strength if the enemy try to advance. Once the quest is complete we shall return to you and then onto home and extend you an invitation to join us. What say you?"

You can apprise him of the situation and then the two of you will return to the party and then we move to the western mainland. Our new friends here, pointing to the ape men, shall remain with the horses and guard the eastern mainland."

Some time has passed and Brett returns with Galen (and any of the ape men who decide to make the return trip). The party is now reunited and ready to leave.

Ariarh is somewhat horrified that the girl did not realise what she had done. Yet she keeps her expression and voice calm and tries to explain without offending the girl.

"Anaitis, I believe you had the best of intentions when undertaking the clearing of Brett Rowan's ka and restoring a sense of peace to him. However, I must advise that by doing so, you took away his will on the matter -- you acted on his behalf and prevented him from acting as he would see fit. This can be seen in a negative light as undertaking this "encouragement" you supplanted your will upon his. Do you understand what I am trying to say to you, Anaitis? It is not appropriate to do such a thing without someone's permission. Your sahib may not be happy about it when he learns of it. Next time, please ask before you decide to help in such a way. It is how we like to do things. I am not angry with you however such actions do concern me for we are not used to them. If my Northerner words become too hard to understand, please let me know and I shall have Priestess Isani translate for me."

Some time has passed and Brett returns with Galen (and any of the ape men who decide to make the return trip). The party is now reunited and ready to leave.

Khang nods once to Ariarh at her words.

”We are not as clever as some – but we are not so foolish as to stay away from the water utterly. It is dangerous for us – our bodies are too heavy – even our strength matters little, and we will drown easier then most if we stumble. Still – if you promise to guide us well, you have saved us – we will watch your things on the far side of the coast. We do honor your invitation – but before we can follow it – I must give clear thought to what is best for my people. When I know that better – I will answer you better… I shall wait for your return, and when you come back I shall give you a better answer. But for now – we do not know where we shall travel next…” Khang responds.

Khang and the others will indeed travel to Galen and wait there. You are free to bring the Anumus with you as well – or do what you wish with them – as of now, they have not been addressed. Meanwhile – the apemen seem rather in awe of any that can use magic – and suspicious as well… but they will do nothing untoward to someone who has magic, unless that person provokes it. Even so – it is several miles across the water, and back – and the silver kobolds are expected to be on the west side, even as Galen is on the east. Therefore – it will likely take about 3 hours for the round trip, and to make sure things are alright with Galen. Further – the sky is gray, cloudy – and fairly overcast. It seems like another storm may occur – though suspect it would not happen until later this afternoon – possibly the evening. As Brett has nothing to occupy himself with – he shall go about the business of attempting to cut long shanks of the croc’s hide – he suggests it may be useful for armor, even as leather armor is; should anyone ask him. During the same time Anaitis is happy to converse with any and all who want – but, if the party chooses to simply wait patiently – she will not engage them with conversation, only respond to questions – and, in the meanwhile – she practices some form of martial arts kata on the beach.

It is roughly 2:00 PM when your party reunites. Unless otherwise stated – the Anumus and the Apemen are on the beach with Galen – and the rest of you are merely content to wait on the island.
