If Kae's getting hasted, and getting 30' movement from that, then he saves his extract of Expeditious retreat, and just shields and stays within range of Raz's hasting

Arasmes has cast 1 Haste and used it on Kae, Clari, Brett, Isani, Cali, Ry.

These buffs are now in place - you are now in range.

Isani sees the look directed by the miniature Clari at the Foreign Ambassador and then the barely distinguishable raised eyebrow in her direction as if questioning his words or manner. I had a job interview yesterday and the build up was stressful. I ended going to bed early. I think it went well, but now comes the waiting. ... and waiting ... and waiting... Anyway, that real life stuff has no place here. Moving on.

DM, Shae never cast shield as he doesnt have it memorized and he's saving his called spell for something else.

Indeed! I meant to write "KAE" has cast shield on himself - and have it in my notes already. That was me typing last night feeling a little tired, but yes - it's all good.

Meanwhile -

You have a 23 - Brett also has a 23 for Initiative - and his Dexterity is theoretically higher then yours so he goes first, as you have tied.

However - once I have Brett go, what is your plan? Please let me know, and we can go from there.

Honest mistake, but that's why I was confused. No worries.


Brett takes a shot on the guy at

-AD, 9.

He is using his musket - and there are range penalties, but - we'll see what happens. Sadly - as they are aware of your presence - Brett does not have any chance for a surprise round/attack - so - yeah.

He knows they are aware of your presence, because - even at this range - he heard some voice saying "Roll Initiative".

so...

His attack with his musket -

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21

IF he hits -

1d8 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Brett has hit the guy - the guy is not happy - and now it is Shae's turn!

Shae will continue to slowly move around until one of the fighter types start the party off.

Is there a decent group within 30 feet of each other, but not Anuksu (the dragon)?


Quick note to all -

This combat will be VERY SLOW.

Why? Because - as we are going round by round - I am not going to have anyone NPC another person. We tried having Shae being NPC'd that one time against the Ents - he "died" - it was no good.

If you guys want to do round by round until Sunday - a round ends after everyone posts.

Now - Ariarh/Dior/Isani are pretty good at posting on a pretty timely fashion - look for their posts sometime this evening by around 8-9 I should think (eastern standard) - after that - I'll have everyone, and we can start the round over - which means we may even do TWO rounds a day.

This happens until we get a time when we can all get on Skype and make it go faster.

What if we post out of order?

That is one thing I will handle NPC - if we all post - and we wait for one player who is not able to post until midnight - I will say that they have moved their action to the end of the round - but they won't drop out of Initiative for next round -they are basically "Holding action" for this round alone.

I don't want things to slow down in one day because we all get something up there, and someone can't make it for the day. If they go before you - and you have to crash out early and can't wait for them to post - tell me what you want to do - and it will happen before them for that round only.

Well - before I answer that question - did you get the battle map?

I have a hunch you're looking to cast fireball - your best bet is trying to hit the guys in Green on the map.

If you have the map - you'll see what I'm talking about. Without the map - I can send it later. But I have to leave now, so - yeah.

Just give me a point of origin if you are casting it - and we can go from there.

If you don't have the battle map - let me know, I will resend it. But you think that Anuk-su may, or may not be, located around -AI, 11/12 - you're not too sure, though.

Since we can see the group can we get a bit of description of what is going on? What do the people look like? What are they doing? That sort of thing.

Here's the Init order, based on all the rolls that were tossed up, ties judicated by the Init Bonus. The ones where there may be issue is with teh Guys in Pink. They had a +4 to ini, but i don't know if it came from Dex or the Feat Improved Ini, Or a trait, or something. But Kang has a +3 bonus, so whoever actually has the higher Dex goes, although they're all NPC's so it's not actually a huge deal...

So there's that...

Kae's turn:

SInce the guys in Light Blue are the only ones to go before kae, He Runs 120ft to -T, -11

I'd like to see the Guys in Light Blue, and Green's actions, and get some info on what we're actually looking at before posting for Clari.


Guys in light blue will act - I was hoping for a grid/coordinates from Shae on where/if he was tossing up a spell, as it may effect the enemy target.

As of now - Shae - what is your current plan based on the map and grid and information? Did you need me to resend the map? If so - please let me know.

Also - it works well that you post earlier then the group because, other then Brett - you go before everyone anyway :)

That said - I will have the NPC's - bad guys make their move after you tell me what you want to do. If you have any questions, just let me know. If there is nothing you have up your sleeve at this time - let me know also - and we can have you hold action.

However - it seems likely that the group will not be posting much anyway until later this afternoon.

Kae's actions still stand - but if you use a spell, his decision may be counterproductive. We'll just have to see...

Just let me know, and we can go from there. Thanks!

You have only a marginally better view for these details, but it is okay - as there is not too much too see at this time.

All of the figures that are highlighted on the map are wearing long cloaks/robes. They all have their back to you - with a few exceptions - namely; the two characters in red and blue - though they also have long cloaks on.

It is difficult to see these last two figures clearly, because laying on the ground in a crumbled heap before them look like two bodies (they are the figures that are not highlighted).

There looks like a large amount of goods and gear by the figure in Dark Blue - the other figure is leaner, and is carrying a sword, that much you can see. It is also likely that he pointed out your approach a while ago - you suspect he may be an important, though you don't know in what capacity.

This much you feel to be accurate - one of the bodies on the ground looks like a naked woman, and the other looks like a young silver dragon. Neither are moving.

I hope that was helpful. What, then - are your plans?

Throw a fireball, roughly -AC 11. SHould hit lots of the green ones and maybe a couple of blue ones, but not Anuksu or the other kobolds.

Fireball DC17 Reflex save for half. 6d6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 1, 3, 6) = 17

I'm not entirely sure what's what, but if I can hit as many enemies as possible without hitting any allies.


Okay – it was kind of tricky to plot – MapTools makes you put the center of the fireball kind of weird – so – yeah – it is tricky. But it is clear that if you placed it where you wanted, it would actually be able to hit everyone in Green. So – I’ll be going through with their Saves at this time.

Okay - technically the next person is Ariarh - however - she probably won't be on the boards for a few hours. So - I will have my two NPC's - Dhoj move forward - while Grod is going to hold action until Khang moves, then he will move with him.

Ry - I know this moves before you - but, basically, all I am doing is moving Dhoj up. As soon as I know what you want to do - we'll go from there.

But for now - Dhoj is moving up, it's not too bad, though - you'll be able to see where he is. Looking forward to your post soon :)

Dhoj's move -

Dhoj does a double move - then jumps forward using acrobatics...

1d20 + 12 ⇒ (3) + 12 = 15 and moves forward an additional 15 feet. He is now at -N, -15.

At this time, Ariarh is still quite a distance from the ledge holding all the enemy (and her beloved ward).

So, she begins moving forward, steathily, and is now at -N -25 (30+30=60 ft movement due to Haste) trying to get a better look at the enemy.

Stealth: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
Perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31 (Can she see more from this new position that she couldn't before? Anything of note?)

Firstly - it seemed that quite a few of the lads who were hit by the fireball somehow managed to Evade it... And look barely singed!

Meanwhile - The four lads in light Blue are now moving forward quickly - they are fanning out to

That was their round - you do notice one thing rather...odd - their heads, while hooded, are seemingly too big and unusual for a human. Unless they have rather bulky headgear/helmets under their hoods - something isn't right on that account!

You also guess that after Shae'z Fireball - yeah; they see you guys - though they may not be paying too much attention to you specifically, as you have not used any magic yet. Then again...

Oh yeah - At this distance you can make out a long banner, about 15 feet behind the two robed figures hanging from the base of the idol. There is a symbol on it - the symbol is an eight pointed star. You may make a Knowledge: religion check to learn more - but it will be a High DC - you do not recognize the symbol very well.


Kae - you're up - FYI - did you mention anyone about your Augery? If so - let me know... Thanks!

I'm not sure but can Ariarh relay the information about the bulky heads to the others via Mister's telepathic ability at this point?

Dior will stay as close as he can to his mistress at all times. To reach her distance, he will fly (he has 80 ft speed, will be flying 30 ft off the ground) until he reaches a place just a little in front (30 ft in front) of his mistress and then he lands. Dior is now on -S-19.


Okay - the boys in green have moved up - there is quite a lot of them - so I'm not going to put up a lot of coordinates for now.

However - the following information is to be noted;

So... yeah; I guess that's pretty much it for the round!

Brett then moves up fast - he is going up to roughly -M, -18 and then drops a knee, and begins to load his musket. His pistols ready if someone moves up to him...

FYI - new map will be coming in a while - I was kind of hoping the party would be closer - for now, it will take a bit... when the group gets closer, though - I will send a new map! Yay!

Yikes! Sorry - I didn't see that. Also - as you were on Cali - and Cali is not moving - so, yeah - I didn't know you were going to do anything specific as he is 20 feet off the ground.
