Introduction

This is the Kingmaker Campaign, yet it is filled with many deviations from the boxed set. The "Campaign Information" page is meant as a quick resource to help sum up the thousands of posts quickly.

Kae will go to Grishank directly, after speaking with Delain and charging Clari with making nice with Anuk-su.

He takes a detour at the barracks to speak with his troops and leave orders with his lieutenants.

Kae – want to do that on your board also as ret-con? If so – let me know.

Gotta think about what potions I want. I'll make you a list. Just assume I bought some before we left.

Ariarh did not want to have Anuk-su in the second half of her meeting with Delain - the private meeting- she simply wanted it one on one.. I thought I had made that clear in multiple entries but perhaps I did not. I hope that resolves the confusion.

Only mostly clear... Now it's totally clear :)

Cool – soon as I get any final prep decisions from Shae on gear – Arasmes on who’s he fraternizing with – and what the party tells the kobolds – the party will formally set out for the south. Yay team!

Male Half-Elf Invulnerable Rager 2/Crossblooded Envenomed+Draconic Sorcerer 1/ Trapper Ranger 1/Rage-Vivisectionist 2/Dragon Disciple 1

I'll do that all on the other boards. I also have the Non-1-on-1 conversation with Delain, the first half on Ry's board as well, and am going to add Clari talking to Anuk-su as well.

Kae actually thinks we should tell the Kobolds about the possibility of more of their kind being alive. Kae offers to do this in private, with Just Sylvath as soon as he gets to the village, assuming that is where Sylvath is.

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Kae, you should ask Ariarh if it is alright for Clari to speak with Anuk-su. The reason being Ariarh has heard how Anuk-su feels about the Elf (and is the only one privy to this) and it is a precarious situation.

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

The Council should quietly meet with the kobolds before we leave for the south. If not all kobolds can be present then it should be with Sylvath and Adjt. We can advise them of our findings and theories. I cannot see why Kae is only speaking with Sylvath as Kae was not present in the cave in the swamp where the artifacts were found. It just seems strange for Kae to do it alone and only with Sylvath.

"Aye, I am leader, Shaezon. I agree with your suggestion to set Mister and Dior ahead to scout and return information to our party. However, how many miles between us would you allow? If they are too far ahead of us, it would prove difficult for the relaying of information. We should instruct them to fly ahead for four hours and then report back to our camp. We will need to create a signal or sign post for them to know where we are camped but have it subtle enough that our enemy cannot discern our exact location. Do you have magic that can enable this?"

"And, the party is ready to leave now. The others are in the courtyard, ready and waiting. Has Arasmes returned from town? I have not seen or heard from him since his departure from the meeting."

Can everyone tell me via posting whom they have hired to travel with us to the South? (If anyone has hired people.)

"I have an empathic connection to Mister when he is within one mile. We can relay simple messages. Mister is smart enough to measure time in a vague sense. Four hours is a good measure. They can fly out for two then back and repeat. We instruct them to observe and report only, not engage."

Just me and Galen.

Arasmes would probably talk to the shopkeepers and merchants to start. Also if there is anywhere for new arrivals (those new to town) he will go there.

How much will i need to pay Henry and Mak? I know we've hired Mak twice, and Henry a few times as well, so that's at least a +6 for Mak and a +7 for Henry, so if they are both level 3 and kae is 6, Henry has a +10, and Mak a +9, so the cost should be 225 for mak, and 150 for henry, correct? or is this not a paying gig... I'm not totally sure about the costs

As Mak and Henry are "volunteering" to go north to Oleg's - and the cave - they are working "pro bono". In this case, however, their pay is generally what they find, they keep.

However, it's likely that they will not need any cash for now; they are on their own "quest" - as it were. Also - neither of them are level 3 any more. They have leveled in the past several adventures - both are level 4.

With no more specific direction - I will put you specifically with the shopkeepers connected to the potential Alchemist guild - specifically - I shall have Selendria show you around.

You are therefore free to "hob-nob" with folks who are eager to set up a guild for those who create potions and other similar things; including potions, poisons, black powder devices - and minor magical/mundane gear (sunrods, tanglefoot bags, and other similiar things).

They are eager for the ideas that a person skilled with magic can give them.

Alrighty…

Dusk is approaching, and the party has agreed to meet on the southwestern flank of the town.

In small groups, so as not to be noticed – the party meets up and prepares to set out, so as to be in secret, and – hopefully – not detected by the presence of any spy.

As the party meets up, they notice that the sky is somewhat cloudy.

Brett is fully geared, and has several packs of food slung over Stybba’s back, his weapons look well oiled and ready.

He quickly glances at the group, and fits a tobacco quid into his mouth.

”Well – let’s do this,” he says, and kicks the stubby pony into a fast trot – the others following quickly.

As the party advances they are each stirred by a nagging doubt of what they observed at the city before they left. Namely – the silver kobolds.

It seems that after they were told that there may be a collection of their species alive – and possibly tortured or experimented on – the kobolds, after hearing this – were naturally extremely upset.

Sir Sylvath instantly summoned his brethren – they met with him – and, quickly – they gather their gear together and instantly set off for the south. They do not wait for the group – and they make no pretense of subterfuge.

Anuk-su is shocked – and tries to order the kobolds back to their posts – Sir Sylvath is, effectively – the captain of the guard – and his stalwart presence alone is enough to keep most of the Osirions in check, and his brethren act as a strong deterrent to any crime; from any party in the town.

However – Sir Sylvath responds with all decorum, gravely and graciously – ”Apologies, my lady – while it is true that we are pledged to obey thy will – and through thy will – the will of the people. Even so – we have first sworn our primary allegiance to the nation which thy preside over.”

He turns quickly to Kae.

”I trust your lieutenants can keep things in check while I am gone, general – but, we must do this thing.”

He turns back to Anuk-su.

”Thou art the clear last descendant of thy house – as we know it – but, our duty is to protect all members of thy house, not thee alone. This cannot be done while our own kindred languish in bondage.”

”But – but – thy do not know this to be true. It is mere conjecture from the scraps of a journal – we do not know if it is true – or false. It may be an error, we do not know…” Anuk-su retorts hastily.

”Aye, lady! We do not know – we cannot know. But – by the lord god Apsu – we cannot fail to act, if there is even a chance to help our brethren. We may find others as thee, lady – we may find kinfolk as we were – recently revived from centuries long slumber; or they may be the last descendents of our own folk – birthed in the past years – exiles perhaps… We do not know – we cannot know! But – we must act!’

Sylvath turns to his brethren – all of them are mounted and armed.

He glances over them a stern glare, seeking for any fault in armor or weapon. Gripping his reins tightly, he kicks his horse forward, and tears his sword out – directing the blade to point to the direction of the south.

”Lady – I pledge thee – but thou art a part of thy entire nation – and, with that nation – there is yet the chance for others to live still. We cannot dally here – and must trust in the goodwill of the folk that abide – to look after their own affairs while we seek the chance of life in our families.”

Anuk-su is actually stunned into speechlessness.

She opens her mouth to retaliate – to check the rash words of Sylvath. Perhaps she will inform him that if he would go on this journey – it would better to go as a group; so that there will be a stronger chance of success.

Naturally, though – you can see the kobolds would not accept such a proposal – if it was even offered. For they tire of waiting and will advance.

You wonder if Anuk-su would warn the kobolds that the town is in a dangerous position now – with the Osirion’s scheming, and plotting to make chaotic movements – it seems possible that the town could actually be harmed by their lack of presence here – possibly slipping into some sort of revolt, if there was no stern watch left here to counteract the wiles of the cunning folk.

Yet – you also guess that such a suggestion would fall on deaf ears. Sylvath has said it already – the town is important – but weighed against the possibility of saving the lives of the last remnants of his people – of discovering the only members of his folk alive – of finding people that may have lived and walked under the same sun as his own brethren – perhaps a relative – perhaps a loved one? And to know that they languish in bondage and torture – while he does nothing?

No – they cannot wait. The town may not do well – but then again – it may stand strong and proud. But in either case – they must go. Towns have lived and failed for centuries – but their own people may become extinct in fact if they fail to act.

Anuk-su watches as Sylvath orders the others forward fast.

”Lady – it is my sworn duty to protect thee – but, my duty to our own nation – it must prevail… Even so – I… I… my loyalty is torn. I would protect thee as I could best – but, I cannot do so while our people may be endangered. I am confounded in my duty, lady.”

Anuk-su is equally upset. You quickly recall her horror in the caves at the very idea of knowing her people may be in danger. You recall also her constant need to rush forward and save her people – you also recall her desperate determination to advance – with no more delay – and vaguely recall the warnings from Robert Tyrell – that to suggest to these folk that their kindred may yet live could encourage rash action…

Even so – the word was given. Anuk-su now sees a company of her own people, desperate to do the right thing; to both protect her lands – and, to protect her own life. Yet, they will not wait for the others – they move fast, and shall not dally, though it may cost them their lives should they press alone – speed, to them – is all that matters.

”I would not have thy hurt so vexed, my friend and guardian,” Anuk-su says proudly.

”Thou art sworn to protect me – and the folk of my nation – and yet, thy cannot wait. Very well – in that case – I shall be forced to ride with thee; and shall act as thy own eyes and ears from afar. Come then – let the swift not wait for them that tarry – we shall ride hard – until daybreak!”

Sylvath nods proudly, turns his horse – and with a harsh kick – urges the beast to charge forward into the growing darkness after his folk.

Anuk-su turns to Ariarh.

”My sister – and truest friend – know that I would have ridden with thee – truly; and protected thee as best as I could. It was my hope that we could ride together. But with the baggage that thy party carries – and the slow speed of some of thy companions,” she says with a quick glance at Stybba – a pony is no match for a horse in speed, of course – and the baggage horses alone are another thing to consider – ”I cannot tarry.”

”They are my people that may be in danger, if I delay – I shall, at the least – wound the honor of my folk. They need me – if not my strength – then my simple presence.”

Her face is troubled, but she does her best to steel her nerves when she offers her final words to the party.

”Farewell; to all of thee – and, if we do not meet again – may the gods smile upon thee!”

Even as Anuk-su speaks, her body collapses into the form of a young dragon, she slips a foreleg down to grasp her robe, then with clap of her wings, she wheels into the sky and flies after her companions into the southern skies.

”Well – let’s see…” Brett says thoughtfully.

”Our Marshal has left the town – the last surviving member a proud nation has left us to go on what is likely to be a near suicidal quest with only a few kobolds as her backup – the only remaining members of a race of never before known creatures has suddenly charged off south into what we reckon to be rather uncharted and dangerous terrain - our friends and mates be making all speed to the one place were a bunch o' Southern lads seem to gather up the silver kobold folk and do nasty things to them – and when when our mates get to where they’re going, well – if they get captured, instead of killed to the last lad, well... I got a hunch they may be pushed to “talk” about what they know, including us coming after them, as it were.”

”Yep,” he says, suddenly spitting a stream of tobacco juice to the leeward.

”Bad luck, I’d say. Oh well – can’t be helped,” he adds flatly, his gaze on the horizon, not looking at the others. Then he kicks his pony into a quick trot in the direction which the kobolds have traveled.

Despite Brett’s enthusiasm – you all know that you won’t be able to ride very well at night. First of all – you have baggage horses which aren’t suited for galloping, especially laden with gear – also – Brett’s pony will keep things moving rather slowly – and, as not all of you have the ability to see in the dark (though of course – the kobolds and Anuk-su have better chances seeing in the dark – and can therefore guide their horses with greater ease then folk such as Brett and Galen).

And while Dior and Mister can provide some reconnaissance – you will likely miss your back-up in the form of Anuk-su’s assistance.

”I hate to say this, master,” Galen says interrupting your musings.

”What shall we do with our city? With the kobolds gone – their absence will certainly be noticed – they are not the kind of folk that ‘blend in” – and they did keep a tight reign on shenanigans – to say the least,” he adds.

”Oh well – I’m sure the town will take care of itself – hopefully, in our absence – we will discover that things are still standing when we return.”

Galen urges his horse forward after Brett, glancing to Shaezon.

”Coming master?”

Male commoner 1

will post stuff tomorrow about dealing with stuff...

Arasmes looks after the departing kobolds and voices his agreement with Brett. They may forewarn our coming but I cannot say I blame them. If my brethren were captured such as they I would do as they did I suppose. As for the city, perhaps we could let it be known that they are going off for a brief retreat for worship of their god Apsu. Some sort of religious rite that must be done for a few days and then they will return. It might buy us some time that our enemies will be hesitant to do anything rash if they think they will be returning shortly? A rumor in the right ear can have profound effect upon a town...better to get our rumor out first I would say. I would send someone quickly back to Master Tyrell and let him handle getting the rumor started and then they can catch us up on the road. If we are to have any chance of helping Sylvath and Anuk-su we need to leave as well so that we can arrive without giving too much warning to those on the island. With that Arasmes quickly does the ritual to summon Caliphana and then catches up with Brett.

Shaezon kicks his horse into a gallop and say's to his apprentice. "I don't know. We may have our work cut out for us when we return. Regardless we need to make this trip worth it."

Brett is advancing as quickly as his pony can trot. You are about an hour south of the town – if you gallop. Someone could ride back to the town and deliver orders, and then turn around and ride back quickly to catch up with the group.

As the group is not “galloping” – and there is a large amount of horses – anyone who has a rank or two in Survival can catch up to the party fairly quickly – being gone from them for about an hour and a half (one there – a little bit to deliver the letter – then an hour and bit to catch up to the group).

It is nearing nightfall – as mentioned, which means that in about 30 minutes it will be dark. Someone who can see in the dark and make this mission would be best suited, as you no doubt recall – the night is already overcast – and there is no sign of either the moon or starlight.

Question: Who will deliver the message to the group at the town on your change of plans? I need to know that – and that person can “catch up” without incident in about an hour.

No worries here – you won’t be getting into any real trouble tonight, and likely – not tomorrow either. But it all depend on what tomorrow brings.

Excellent - in which case - you are free to deliver whatever message you prefer. For now, I will assume it is the one Arasmes suggested.

Yes. To master Tyrell and ask him to start a rumor that the Kobolds left for a brief religious rite dealing with the worship of Aspu.

Excellent!

Shae – you have ridden back to your companions and rendezvous with them at roughly 9:00 PM. Today is Pharast the 30th, and there is no moon – it won’t be “waxing” for two more nights; and the weather is overcast.

Sunset was 7:30 PM.

You see that your companions have not ridden overly far and have made camp. Clearly riding through the darkness is not something they are willing or able to do. They have made a fire, and set up their gear, and a brief watch is set.

Other then a few words regarding what has happened, the party has little to discuss. Watch is set and the evening passes without event. In the morning – you break camp – and continue to ride south.

For purpose of this event – I need to know if you are planning on Exploring or Passing Through – remember, exploring takes longer, but if you do not explore the terrain, you will not be granted the benefit of “adding the terrain to your lands” – which may be worthwhile. Still – I’ll need a vote on this. For now – at least Kae, Shae and Arasmes need to toss in their opinions as Ariarh is on vacation.

Hmm... this will be a bit tricky. You are free to ask Shae to deliver that message - but you cannot ret-con a formal conversation with Delain about the loss of the kobolds, because Kae wouldn't know the kobolds were planning on leaving, until after you already left the town at night and decided to tell the kobolds that their kinsmen may be still alive. As this happened after you left town - it would have happened after you left the interview with Delain. However - you are certainly free to let Delain know with a letter after the fact.

A chief problem is - not only have many of your officers left - but you have no one formally in charge when they're gone (for the military, that is). It is likely that you will be placing Arsinian and/or Garith as a deputy in the meantime - but that is up to you. Certainly you can extend that order in your letter, though.

After a moment's thinking, Ka'etil kicks Konur into a hard gallop, following quickly after Shaezon, in order to speak with Delain himself. "You can go appraise Robert of the situation, with the Kobolds, I shall speak to Delain myself, as well as give out my orders to my lieutenants."

I'd like to play that out after I get through the conversation with Delain on the other bord before figuring this bit out exactly. Sorry i didn't get this on the board earlier, but crazy couple days.

Okay - just remember - Shaezon is just dropping off a letter and will return at 9:00 PM. You are seeking an audience and having an interview - you will arrive later then 9:00 PM.

It won't really matter - unless the interview goes long - but it could be important the next day if you don't have Endurance - as you are likely not to get a full sleep.

Point is - do your best.

We can do that interview on your thread...

To All -

Well, I am going out of town this weekend - and where I'm going I won't have access to internet or phone (technically land lines, once we get into the campsite).

I should be arriving there tonight at around 7:00 PM - but I will likely be having quite a bit of time on the road between then and now.

I may have a chance to look at the boards again between now and then - but I can't promise anything. If I don't have any posts - that's what's up.

I should be returning at around 9:00 PM Sunday (eastern standard).

Meanwhile - any questions or comments you want to toss up - through them up, and I'll do my best to answer them as soon as possible.

If I don't get a chance to get to a computer between now and then - you know why.

That said - good luck!

Hmmm....

I will start proceeding tomorrow - but, as no one has posted anything - this is somewhat complicated - I have little latitude to advance the story without feedback from the players.

Naturally, this includes not only the main board - but the provincial ones.

Shaezon catches up with the group with Kae riding at his side. Shae rides up next to Ariah, "Mission accomplished, Lady Ariah."

I think we were just waiting for Shae and Kae to finish what they were doing.

If this has already been stated please disregard. Arasmes rides near to Ariarh and says Though exploration is indeed necessary I think we should do that on the way back up to Saravale. The Island is our priority now, yes? Once that is stated he falls back near Isani and begins asking her about her homeland.

How are things in the region? I know you are not from Katapesh but with it bordering Osirion I thought you might have some news. I am 10 years gone from the area myself. As for Osirion, I have long wanted to see the Valley of Pyramids though fate took me far afield before I got the chance. I also longed to see the husk of Ulunat. It is said that part of the capital city of Sothis resides within its desiccated carcass and that it was the spawn of Rovagug himself, is that true? Does Khemet III still rule as the Ruby Prince? I hope you forgive my questions but I find I enjoy talking to you and in truth miss my homeland somewhat. Arasmes smiles brightly at her as he rides, enjoying the day and company.

Eidolon

Caliphana soars along above the group enjoying the freedom of flight and her form. It is good to fly again. I feel my strength with the Shemzar growing. Arasmes pull across the planes is improving and allowing more of myself through. These forms that they wear are so...restricting at times. Looking down from about fifty feet in the air, Caliphana stretches her claws and returns to watching the distance.

Shemzar is what she calls her home plane.

Swivelling in her saddle she acknowledges Arasmes' presence and question, "I wish we had more time now to explore this part of the land, map and claim it. Alas, your suggestion to explore this territory once we are done with our quest to the island sounds like a wiser option. If only Anuk-su and her kobold guard had not rushed off in hopes of recovering their supposed surviving brethren. I hope this is not a trap set to recapture our friends. If these "silver men" indeed exist, it is our mission to rescue and set them free. I have a foreboding feeling, Arasmes, but aye, we proceed to the witch's island."

Hearing Kae and Shaezon riding fast to rejoin the group, she nods her head to Arasmes and then slows down her gallop so the two males can move by her side.

"Thank you for undertaking the delivery. Shaezon, did you personally hand the letter to Robert Tyrell? Did you have time to speak with him?"

And after he answers, she addresses Kae, "Kae, what did Delain...I mean, Lord Esserian, say when you asked him to oversee and protect Saravale during the Kobolds' absence? Are your lieutenants confident they can keep the Osirions at bay and safeguard the town?"

Brett pulls out an apple from a pouch and munches it somewhat morosely.

He glances at the heights of the sky, seeing Caliphana flying about.

”Well – on the least I can see that maybe Cal can give out some information on what’s to come out there,” he mutters.

”Aye – it’s a shame that they all decided to ride off – likely they’ll be in a tight spot. Gods willing – they’ll make it out alive,” Brett adds, his words suggesting a lighthearted jest – but his tone suggesting a tense nervousness for his companions. It is clear that he does not believe that his comrades will do so well as he is suggesting.

Meanwhile…

With not thing to do but ride – and with no desire to catalog the lands south – or explore various rumors of danger which flanks them – the party moves on as briskly as possible. Sometime at 1:00 PM they notice a wide track of grass that looks heavily trampled – as if a herd of elk have moved through here recently.

Brett glances at the tracks and believes that the tracks are no more then 1 day old.

Even as he swings himself back into Styba’s saddle, Cali is able to see something on the horizon in the air.

Brett removes his spyglass and glances in the direction of the horizon. He sees something in the sky.

”Oye – you see that? Crows – looks like three of them – maybe four – not sure… They’re all wheeling about at that point,” Brett adds, pointing somewhere south of you.

Roughly two miles south, and somewhat to the west – he sees the crows flying back and forth over the grasses. As to what it is – you don’t know.

”Well – it’s not too far out of our way – anyone want to go explore it?” Brett asks the group.

She turns upon hearing the familiar male accent and bestows upon him a smile, albeit a shy one but genuine. She enjoyed Arasmes ibn'Fayad's company the few times she had the opportunity to converse or work beside him.

"Iiti em hotep, Foreign Ambassador," bowing her head in deference as she slows her horse down to a fast trot. Gesturing to the Lady Druid with the subtle movement of her head, "Your nefer seshmew has much weighing on her heart and mind. This cannot be easy for her -- that the court's young ward, the Princess Anuk-su, and her guard have departed so abruptly and especially at this delicate time. I hope you will help guide her on this new and great path she has decided upon. She will need true friends. An old tutor of mine once told me in the Common tongue, A wise man seeks a friend; a fool seeks an enemy. The friend of a fool is a fool; the friend of a wise man is a wise man. The friend of an idiot is an idiot. The wisdom of two is greater, so be kind to the Lady Ariarh and she in turn will have kindness for you."

"This land is very green and can hurt my eyes some days. I yearn for the rolling, whispering sands of home. Their music fills my dreams when I close my eyes at night. Ten years is a long time to be separated from one's homeland, sadiqi. I do not mind the questions -- they pass the time and break the tedium of a long ride. Indeed, the youthful Ruby Prince Khemet III is ruler and not very long ago he opened the vast deserts of Osirion to foreign exploration. I do want to speak blasphemy of our great pharaoh yet I wonder at what cost this foreign exploration will be. Already artifacts from the Valley of the Pyramids have found their way into the bazaars of Sothis, tomb raiders selling our ancient past for an easy profit. Yet one could argue that Prince Khemet would see our land prosperous and legendary once again, like it was during the reign of the four god-kings, renowned for their military conquests and magical advancements. May the blessed Healing Light open eyes in wisdom," and she draws silent for a moment or two, lost in some faraway thought.

"Yes, the capital, my once-home, was built around the shed carapace of the Ulunat. It is now known as The Black Dome and dominates the skyline of the city. It houses the Palace of the Forthbringer, the Council of Sun and Sky, the Sothis Exhibitory, Menetnashté's Orrery, and the Shepeskan Grove of druid-tended saplings; as well as the estates of the noble elite. The interior of the shell is decorated with magical faerie fire constellations -- so beautiful, different to this sky in the River Kingdoms. I do not know how much you know of the legends of Sothis, but according to the stories and the lore attached to the cult of Nethys, Ulunat, a spawn of Rovagug, was killed by Nethys before he became a god and Ulanat's blood inspired the springs and oases and the young Sothis was formed around the husk. From death comes life."

"I think it is best we ride over there and explore. Crows circling could mean many things and it could be an injured traveller, mayhap even one of our own people. Let us proceed. Brett, if you would be kind enough to take lead position."

Didnt really role play it. Just hand waved it.

Mister and Dior flew ahead to scout -- we instructed them to return to us within four hours. GM, I assume you will play this out accordingly when the time is right ...?

If you woke up at 6:00 - spent about 2 hours with eating (1 hour) meditations (1 hour) - then you would be traveling at 8:00 AM - four hours later would hit you at 12:00.

This incident has occurred at 1:00 - however - they would have been able to tell you that in that time they were able to see riders far to the south (as they were able to move faster then the outriders).

You suspect that your scouts have moved south after the kobolds with all speed - and, as they can fly and the kobolds can only move as fast as horses - then your "scouts" can certainly move faster then the kobolds.

According to Mister (who would have been able to communicate to Shaezon around 12:00) - the riders had pushed on hard - and there was none among them that had perished.

According to Mister - the kobolds were all alive when they last saw them - further; Mister suggests that the kobolds are roughly 20 miles ahead of you - at least - possibly more by now - and moving hard.

They did not notice any crows on their return trip.

However - this is not too surprising - if it is now 1:00 PM then they would have returned to you at noon.

In the 1 hour after returning to you - you were pushing south - and the crows were sighted, and, even now - they are a few miles south of your current position.

As you normally ride about 5 miles an hour - and the crows are about 3 miles away - then you'd guess whatever happened was 8 miles from your party when Dior and Mister returned; and it would have happened in the past hour or so; possibly sooner...

Alright then...

"Well - right o' chief," Brett tosses back to Ariarh, slipping out his musket, and holding it across his chest, kicking his heels into the flanks of Stybba and forcing the pony into a quick trot.

The party then quickly advances after him - and your pace advances faster, even the pack horses coming in a faster pace.

You are now moving at 15 miles an hour - you can keep this pace up for about 10 minutes - which means you'll be able to cover the distance of about 3 miles in about ten minutes (give or take about a 1/4 of a mile).

The party plunges on - and you notice the grassy plains are widely crushed down... odd; you'd guess that northern folk with experience with the nature and outdoors (Ariarh, Brett and Kae) may be able to offer insight - but they nothing at this time... Rather, you move forward fast.

In about 10 minutes you are now about 150 feet from where the crows are gathered about - namely; about seven elk are laying dead in a wide circle. Their bodies are butchered and gorged heavily upon - but none of the elk are "finished off" - all of them have had bites from them - but you have discovered multiple dead in a 100 foot radius.

This causes many of the more woodcrafty to be both concerned - and confused.

"Well boss - what do you make of this?" Brett asks, peering down at the grass from his pony, his hand gripping his musket stock tightly.

"And ye - Kae lad - what do you make of this, anything?" Brett throws out the half-elf.

So, just to clarify, Mister and Dior are now back with the party and are able to move where we do? I just want to make sure that if I move Dior around or speak to him that I am able to based on his current position.
