Introduction

This is the Kingmaker Campaign, yet it is filled with many deviations from the boxed set. The "Campaign Information" page is meant as a quick resource to help sum up the thousands of posts quickly.

Before waiting for Robert to respond, she faces Brett again and speaks, "The third man who rescued Gragakh, he was impervious to fire and spoke Draconic. When fighting the others this third man said "Not in my city" in Draconic. What do you know of Mister Wu, Brett? Did you and Kolgrym not go and visit with the man when we first heard of his existence in town?"

"Well - kind of, boss - hmm... or should I say "My Lady" - yeah, that's got a good ring to it," Brett adds with a twinkle in his eye.

"We stopped by there - that Wu fellow was a right one, I'll grant you. You walk into his shop - well - it looks like a sty on the outside - but, on the inside it looks like comfy palace - but I heard tale from that lad Gan one time that be the way of the eastern folk. They like making the outside look all poor and broke down, for the most part - and when you come in - the inside looks real swell, as it were."

"Anyhow - we went in - the lad was there bustling about - not sure with what - he had some tea on the pot, and we tried to talk to him - all he did was smile, nod, and sometimes he'd laugh. Then he'd change on you - he'd chatter in some odd lingo - acted almost like he could understand us - but blamed if I understood him - because if he know our language - he sure didn't speak a lick of it."

"Odd little place, too - lot o' silk about - little trees - strange smells - and he even had a little pet - monkey I think - though I never saw a real monkey before, so I don't know - but it sure looked like a monkey - by all accounts. Cute little thing - but, anyhow - he seemed harmless enough - and he didn't talk - couldn't for the life of me figure out what spooked Grishnak - so I got bored and left. Hell - I even tried a few languages - but, well - if he's bluffing - he sure plays a mean gaming face, 'cause I couldn't tell what his mind was thinking on. Still - he seemed nice enough - just downright peculiar."

I had put your name forward Ariarh, it appears Brett thought that was a splendid idea and has summarily declared you the leader. Now since I do not think Councilman Malas'rae will oppose, that means if you accept you are the leader for the next six months. Though that still leaves the laws to be ratified. Is everyone in favor of their ratification?

"I know I don't get an official vote, but for what it's worth I fully support Ariah as the acting ruler." Shazon adds cheerffully.

She quirks an eyebrow at Brett's lighthearted jest in regard to her being the boss.

She listens as Brett runs down what he thinks the group should do.

Turning to Robert "The Drake", "We will need you to continue in your role as Deputy Mayor until we return from the South, Robert. We can discuss the details of what should be done in the Council's absence during our midday meal. I accept the role of leader of Saravale for a period of six months and then we vote again."

Finding Kae, she motions him over to her side, "We discovered some of that Black Stone from the Spider's Nest deep under the crater of the swamp. It was in the form of black flecks within the stone but it had the same effect -- draining magic and light. Something else we need to solve once we return from the Southlands."

"Now, we must prepare for our new quest. I believe a witch was mentioned down in the South. We will need potions and spells to counter her dark magic. Selendria Grear and Patty Ironhorse must be included in these discussions. And we should bring the Ustalavians in whilst we prepare -- Aliento seems to be the one with intimate knowledge of what it is we are searching for down there. I have informed them of the black stone and also of the suspicions we have about the cultists."

Hearing Arasmes' question in regard to the ratification of the laws, "Thank you for putting forward my name, Arasmes, and for your support Brett, Kae and Shaezon. I have time and I ask Brett and Kae to join us so we can finalise these laws. Robert, if you would join us, we will require your services as Deputy Mayor of Saravale. The Council at present is only at four, including Oleg. We need to enlarge its number with trustworthy people. This we will vote on, too."

Remembering Shaezon and the southern folk present in the chamber, she gives them her attention, "Are there other issues I should be aware of? Any further information to disclose or answers you seek?" Her manner is professional and respectful. She is trying to expedite the entire process before they once again ride from the city on another perilous quest. "Shaezon, as a wizard, you may have knowledge you can pass along in the planning stage, so your presence is warranted."

Addressing the whole group, "If there are others you would bring on this quest, then I ask that you make your arrangements forthwith."

"But before we start any of this, I must ask, what happened with the pesh shipment?"

"And Kae, before I forget, I would like the Draconic War Manual. I will be catching up on some reading as we ride south."

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Walking over to Anuk-su, she lays her hand gently on the little girl's shoulder, "Little sister, if you could arrange message to be sent to your kobold guardsmen, I would have them join us so they can be informed of all we know. I would hear Sylvath's thoughts on the contents of this journal and also what we discovered deep in the cavern. Use the scout that was sent to bring Kae and the others to the fortress. Your safety is imperative, even more so now."

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Remembering Gan and how he tried to teach her his language via the War Manual he carried with him, she draws Brett's attention, "I started studying the Tian language but when Gan left I was unable to finish my studies. Mayhap if we found someone who spoke it ... we could find a way to communicate with Mister Wu. However, we could always try speaking Draconic ... especially if he was indeed this third man who rescued Gragakh."

"I have a spell that will allow me to understand what he says, but it's a one way street. He will not understand us, unless of course he already does. I course I also speak draconic and Galen speaks many languages, My Lady. "

Okay – so; here’s what I’m going to do:

1. I fully intend to pack my gear – enough light rations for a two week journey – fill up on powder and shot from the supplies that Delain Esserian can provide – at cost – stop over at the Shrine to Apsu for a quick prayer.

2. I fully intend to follow up on the plans I have put into place about two months ago – in game – I want to check the status of those plans before I leave, including how they are progressing and what is going on next. I will do that after meeting with Esserian – and then, meet back with the others by this evening for a quick dinner, and head out fast.

Let me know if there any problems with that.

Wait? What “Plans you put into place” are you referring to? Can you please be more specific?

Check your inbox professor – I emailed them to you a month ago – I actually started them formally in the “Down Time” between books 1 and 2. They should be pretty far advanced by now – and I want to know how they’re going. So – let me know.

Ah – gotcha – okay – I’ll send all the appropriate information to you via email. By the way – excellent jobs on all those “natural 20’s” you roll. It was nice to see you roll them in person – but maybe next time you should toss them on the board? But for now – it’s all good.

Brett formally excuses himself after everyone confirms Ariarh’s mantle of “First Citizen” – or, in the draconic – “Imperator”… Brett quirks an eye at that term, wondering if the title is a harbinger of new potential for the young Platinum Blonde…

He then walks out the fortress singing some nearly forgotten ditty about another “Platinum Blonde – with legs so long…” the tune drifts off and echoes through the fortress as he makes his way to finish the rest of his duties.

Regarding Pesh Shipment

Okay – in order to expedite the process – I kind of assumed you were bringing all the opiate products into the fortress – and the pesh itself would be stored as well – possibly put under the care of the new formal “head” of the alchemist/healers guild.

Which reminds me – as per “orders” via Brett, Drake, and “Kae” (who I am now taking over to – again – expedite the process) all formal “Guilds” that wish to be recognized by the Council must have a draft of policy and procedures they wish to be heard prepared for the Council for the perusal in a period of 20 days.

If all goes as planned it should take you guys about two weeks to finish this jaunt to the south (re; 475 days in “real time” ;)

Once the mission is complete – you’ll come back to see all the details from the people written down and in your inbox. Then you can spend all the time you want discussing them.

Finally –

The following is the Reward for heading south on the quest –

For potential Baronies –
4 BP and 10,000 GP (the GP must only be spent on the town itself – you cannot spend it to buy personal equipment or gear for yourself – it is meant to help your barony via resources, not your own personal needs – such as a militia – or a building resources – or special weapons for officers – or pay for a town council of your own.

For potential Businesses
4 BP and 2,000 GP (the GP must be spent with the same caveat as above – you get less GP – but have less need of it – as it is going right into a business that makes money just for you – and you don’t have a whole town to worry about).

Well – let me know what your next moves are.

Robert steeples his fingers, glancing at Ariarh.

While the facts seem to suggest this theory is correct - I do not know it for certain - still, it seems you are probably correct. When, then - would you like to schedule an interview with him? Assuming he will be receptive - as I understand such magics - he may understand you completely - and you him - yet that may not matter if he refuses to talk or answer... " Tyrell says somewhat wryly.

"Well - in that case - I'm at your disposal. Lady - if it is your will to tell the other silver kobolds that you know that their kindred are alive and walking - then we shall, of course, agree to your will. I shall send a messenger to find Sir Sylvath as soon as possible - he'll be with you in about two hours at latest. Let me know what you intend at that time - and we can go from there," he adds graciously.

"I have a feeling that the mysterious Mister Wu is quite capable of understanding Common. I believe he chooses to play ignorant. But I have no proof other than he strikes me as a resourceful and industrious man ... It is good you told me of Galen's flair with languages. I too have an interest in languages ... It does my heart good to know more of us speak Draconic."

"Once we return from the South, I shall organise a secret meeting with the man from Tian Xia. I am unsure of the details at this moment but I will think of something. We must learn more about Mister Wu."

"Robert, in regard to the possibility of other silver kobolds alive and living somewhere in these lands, we cannot say that for a fact and I am hesitant to word it thusly to Sylvath and our other kobold friends. I would like them to hear of the information we have on hand, for it is only fair and right that they be included in this. Mayhap they have insight we have yet to realise..."

"And regarding our Mister Wu, I would think we require information. Gragakh may be necessary for this as well and any other perceptive scout or spy that you may have or know of. I would schedule the interview upon our return from the South -- in two weeks if all goes well. There is some vital piece of information we are missing or cannot see to connect Wu and the cultists and the dragon bloodline. I do not know if you by chance have spoken to Lord Delain Esserian? His father, the Duke, requires a significant reason to ally with us. I would have this alliance for Saravale, Robert. We should foster good relations with Western Brevoy for even now it seems the enemy is closing in and we require might and power. I must speak with Esserian before I leave with the others. Can you please make arrangements for Delain Esserian to join us at the Fortress, in the meeting chamber, as soon as possible? He and his men have a formal camp set up down in the village. Thank you, Robert. I must ask, are there other matters you need to bring to our attention? I know with my sojourn into the swamplands and Kae's quest to waylay and retrieve the pesh shipment we have not had the chance to confer with you on general town matters."

Having listened to the various dialogues and theories, she intercedes even though she is a stranger in this land, "Lady Ariarh, are you planning on setting a test for Mister Wu? To determine if he is ally, enemy or neutral? It seems the Eastern man is quite shrewd. He has been living in Saravale all of this time and not drawn the direct attention of the ruling Council or the spies living within. He will require drawing out."

"If your plan is - as it seems - to leave the town at dusk - then I should be able to schedule an interview with Lord Esserian in about one hour."

He glances around the room.

"Would any of you care to sit in on the meeting with Lord Esserian? Of course - providing he lady grants permission - I see no reason why that would be an issue," he adds.

"Other then those interviews you'd like me to set up - is there anything else in particular that you would like to do before you leave? And are you leaving tonight - as Councilmember Rowan suggested - or do you have another time you would prefer to leave?" he asks.

Quick question - if that question is meant for Ariarh - well, is she meant to answer it - or is it meant for another? Just curious.

For Ariarh to answer. But if any other wanted to also comment, give input, that's okay too.

Before i can really say anything, there were a lot of posts to sift through, i wanted to try to quick-recap what's been said. Lemme know if I'm missing anything important.

Osirons:
-Amun is the evil Djinn.
-He commissioned work with "Beast-men" of the jungle. not sure what race they are...
-At the time he was working with the "Cursed reptile race" that seem to match the Silver Kobolds. some of which may still be alive.

Garshik (drake's gobbo)
-He was saved from attack by someone who spoke draconic and cast fire spell? I'm not actually sure what happened there, i think i missed those posts...

Mister Wu
-we still have no clue

Council:
-Ry is going to be our "Leader" although Drake will be runing things for our trip.
-Guilds are required to work among themselves to establish their organizations. Council must approve Guild charters is not an unreasonable requirement.
-We have yet to ratify our code of laws. I say: Give the code to Harper, the Newspaper-man, and have him circulate them, so we can take input and be democratic about their ratification once we get back to town.

Goods
-seems we have yet to agree where everything goes, have we? Kae put in his vote, i don't recall the others' responses.

Kae's Plans:
-Kae is going to have Clari accompany them south, pack gear and goods, getting rations for two weeks. the party will set out.
-He leaves orders with his lieutenants, Garith and Arsinian (I'll detail them later)

Looks good - two points of note:

1. You're not sure if Amun is the same guy, or some other guy - he was referenced, but you are not entirely sure.

2. No one has any idea what the "beast men" are. First, you don't know if they are a new race, or an old race with a weird description. You're not sure what is what here - just vague hunches...

Though of course - you personally may think that there could be more to it then all that... But if so - what? Only traveling south will reveal more! - Bum, ba - baaaah!

Considering Isani's question, she answers thoughtfully, "We have a clever creature living amongst us, Priestess Isani. Councilman Rowan has visited him on his pig farm and yet he did not speak -- simply smiled and nodded. Gragakh the goblin has heard a man, that could be this Mister Wu, speaking Draconic. We may need to be clever ourselves, and find out what he is doing here and which side he is on. I do not mean to use deceit to accomplish this. We may just need to be inventive and see if the man shows his hand, unwittingly..."

Um - that's cool plan - of course, he won't be able to equip until after a master craftsman can create it.

Sadly - that will take several weeks. But, it is coming soon, though - most likely after you finish book 2.

"Um... yeah - the thing is - I kind of wanted to get a move on sooner then later, if you take my meaning? We get back and rest, and then wait until after prayers - and so on. But the thing is - I reckon we only have a few days before the Osirions realize their shipment never made it - then, once they realize what's what - they'll be sending message to their boys to the south - by all accounts that could take about a week or so."

"Now - assume the rider comes in and tells them that nearly 40,000 gold pieces of drugs, not to mention the magical gear - was pinched by us! And not to mention the journals, too. You know - the ones that mention specific communication between the various factions, one of which - according to the journal - indicates that a man is holding all the kobolds captive?"

"Now - let's also suppose that once the rider gets to the village south - and they realize that we got the notes on the fact that the silver kobolds are alive - that the southern town sends two teams out - one to get back their gear we pinched - and the other to find the kobolds, and get them moved fast, or kill them outright!"

"We don't know where the other kobolds are - for now - and it may be that we could take a while to get to them - if we find them at all - and while we are looking new lads could be riding in and decide to say - Hey, this isn't working - just kill them all - or something like that."

"So yeah - while we amble about picking a leader, and deciding rules - and trying to figure out what guild gets what when... even now men could be dispatched from the northern caravan back south - riding hard and fast to tell the other lads "hey - we lost - they got the book, and the gear - no time to waste"

"Sadly - our own folk never seem to get that kind of enthusiasm for such things... But, you be the boss - I'll stick by you, as it were - I just reckon that moving south sooner then later would be good, that's all."

"Huh! Tell that to my lad Sylvath and he'll raze the town to the ground to finish the would-be assassins, methinks!" she adds with some feisty declaration.

"But nay - he is more restrained then that. Even so - thy advice is well headed. Doubtless when they are alerted a full company of folk shall be assembled under his command - and he shall advance hence will all his bretheren to seek their kinsmen."

"It shall, regretably - put the town a less defensible position - but this cannot be helped. The kobolds have sworn alliegence to my line - and through that oath I bind them to my purpose. How can I, in good conscience- refuse them that mission? Nay - once they petition me to seek out their kin - I shall not refuse, for how can I?"

She sighs a bit.

"Still - they may grow more fortunate then we - for Sylvath is a creature of action - when properly roused - and when he takes the others - as well as the squires he is training - do thy recall them? They were from the family that came from the northman who allied with the late Alaric Winter - he tried to be a paladin or knight of some sort - and his folk were to be his followers? Even still - to what end - they are without a master - and Sir Sylvath adopted them as comrades in arms - now they ride with him - and he to lead them. Surely the vastness of that company will move forward with all haste - though I regret they do not have the safety of a temple or proper healer with them - unless, of course they conscript that dwarven priest from Ustalav who is skulking about still - but, we shall see," she adds with a comfortable sigh.

"Oh yes - thy mentioned ever and again the potential for alliance with that lad you wish to ride thee? The duke's son - verily, then; take to him thy husband - as thou art now the full leader of this growing nation - thy dowry shall be worthy of him."

She muses a moment - and continues in an almost conspiratorial tone - in a voice that seems like "girl talk"...

"You were crafty to accept the position of leader of this berg for a mere six months - but do not think I cannot perceive thy true purpose! Nay - in six months time thou shall have the full backing of the people here - then, any who would try to rest the crown from thee shall be cut down if thy should prefer it - but in any case - thy shall remain queen as long as thy wish! But - as thou govern a republic - perhaps thy should call thyself "First Citizen" - as thou recall - in mine own tongue that is spoken Imperator - but, for thee I should say "Empress" has much more worth then a mere queen... But as thy now rule - the choice of title is easy for thy to create on thy own!" she adds with a knowing wink.

Anuk-su realizes others can hear her - but doesn't seem to mind. As she is snuggled up next to you - she doubts that any there would be foolish enough to gainsay their newly appointed leader - and if they do? Bah! All may remember the power of her paralyzing breath... Besides, in her mind such ideas are sound and are not worth troubling over.

"I would keep the horn in the city vault - or, if it would be better - keep it in the garrison in the city. Whoever acts as commander of the troops would have best access to it - but, should that commander be absent - then his, or her replacement - could use it the quicker."

"If I may - I would not grant this item to a specific individual - but a location - so that whoever commands is best able to summon all men. But, then, that is only a suggestion. I bow to the will of she who leads," Robert says, answering Arsinian - but waiting for Ariarh to confirm the statement or overrule it.

"I agree with putting the item at the Barracks. Arsinian, it becomes your responsibility, as you are often acting commander there. On that note, constructing a proper Garrison in the city should be a high priority, considering the Troglodyte nest we seem to have upset."

"At the moment, we need the city to start running itself better. We need systems in place to cut down on the issues that arise and demand so much of our attention, because right now, there are MANY forces at work here."

"There is the cave to the north with the dark artifact that we have yet to claim, if it is still even there. We have yet to hear form the Ustalavians again, yet they were a major force in the area before we came and it is certain that they have not forgotten this place." they summoned a devil here...

"We do not know why the the Ents rose in the temple of Erastil, and what the Old Ones are making, but we must address the issues wit them." Kae adds. "We need to see what is going on in the south, post haste, but upon our return, we have to address these forces as well." before moving on to book three, lets finish up that plot form book 1, if we can?

"I'd like to have a set of laws, and the city somewhat organized so our homeland isn't falling apart while the world outside does the same. We need a stable base of operations, and as of yet, I've barely been able to establish a military and defense force. We have much work to do."

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

From her position with Anuk-su, she gives Brett a hard look, "We are not ambling about. Choosing a leader and ensuring laws are set firmly in place are wise goals. We have an urgency, aye, but it does not mean we run in case there are those already chasing after us -- for nothing will be sorted if we leave Saravale and ourselves in a precarious, half-thought out position, Brett. I agree though, mayhap we should leave by sunset and get a head start on our enemy. You have put forward some valid reasons." Addressing all in the room, "I know some of you have ridden for days and only just returned to Saravale. But for the sake of staying ahead of our enemy and utilising our gained advantage it seems practical that we leave tonight for the southlands. Please ready yourselves for we leave at sunset."

Answering Robert "The Drake", "Robert, I would see the Ustalavians, the silver kobolds and Mistresses Grear and Ironhorse all at the same time. The meeting will be conducted before the entire Council and trusted Advisors, including our southern friends here. An hour later, I would have Lord Esserian brought to the Council Chamber. Brett, if you would like to be present then, you may save yourself some time. I think I will just have Brett and Kae with me when I speak to Delain Esserian. Then I will speak to him alone. Thank you, Robert."

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Looking down at her young ward, enjoying their closeness, she speaks frankly but softly, "I believe Lady Ariarh would suit me fine. I need no other fancy title, dear one. As to marriage with Delain Esserian, I ... I do not know where to start in this. I was not raised in noble society and arranging marriages is different with my people. How does one go about orchestrating such a thing? And would the nobleman even be amiable to such a union? He would have to speak with his father the Duke and gain his permission, I would think...", she draws breath trying to calm her nerves. I really need to figure out what I feel and what he feels. Anuk-su would say it does not matter as this union is political and for the sole benefit of the capital. Yet, I could not give myself unto a loveless marriage ... I cannot marry for convenience sake alone.

Robert nods at the ideas of Kae and plans of Ariarh..

"Indeed, yes - there is much to do. If I may offer a suggestion?"

"I would do what you need to do to prepare for the journey south. No doubt you will get into many dangerous situations, potentially interesting adventures - and, if you are successful - you will no doubt have many potential rewards..."

"Still - on your return, you will have quite a bit of work. With my efforts of work in Oleg's village - I learned a technique that helps me with managing such details... "

"I decide what it is that I want to do - I write those things down, and offer the list to whatever party needs to examine it - and then, I see what exactly my odds are of succeeding - taking into account every skill and talent I have which would, theoretically, modify those odds of success."

"Then - once all the abilities which could modify the odds of success have been calculated for all the things I wish to pursue - I'd let Fate take a hand, and proceed. I know that after I've done everything I can to potentially gain success - luck still plays a part in such things - and I allow it to play out, knowing that I have done the best I can."

"I notice it generally solves the issues faster, rather then slower, if it helps..." he adds politely.

Not entirely certain as to what your desires are - Robert brings forth only Hank Ironhorse - assuming you do not need his entire family.

He shall also bring in the Ustalavians - and, on your request - Selendria - as well as Sylvath and Adjt (Glaidus is currently on patrol to the northern flank - checking the bridges - he shall return tomorrow - while Ryul is overseeing a scouting foray on the western side of the swamp - to see if any creatures have attempted to exit on that side - he is scheduled to return an hour before dusk - if you need to speak to him).

Ariarh -

As per your request - the Duke's men will arrive afterwards - and they are happy to proceed to your council.

Meanwhile - Anuk-su is getting grumpy (it's been nearly six hours since breakfast) and she is demanding some lunch, which is soon brought out for all of you - however - she simmers down quickly when Sir Dashan arrives; stops pouting and being cranky.

Perhaps it was the knight - perhaps it was the meal - either way, she's being polite at this time.

"Well spoken, sir," she says, after snacking a bit, and hearing Shaezon address Ariarh.

"Ariarh - I say unto thee; the time for hard choices lay before thee. Seize that which thy would, and from that grip of strength thou may wield power as thy see fit. This may seem wrong in thine eyes - yet hearken; if thy wield power with strength, it need not be evil, rather, from a good heart a wellspring of justice, mercy, piety, and compassion may flow. But none may blossom without a strong foundation - thou must put aside these self-doubts and seize what thy would - trusting in thy own virtue. Once thy do this; who cares what thou would be called? Yet, for myself - I would enjoy the title of "Empress" - it has a fine ring to it," she says with a sage nod.

Still - the point is fair. If you take power, are are in power - it matters little what title you claim, so long as you rule.

"While there are political aspects of marriage, and ramifications of a nobles union are are great, I am not sure that our relationships should be treated as council business. Not so say that I don't want to hear about it, but your happiness isn't a business matter to be discussed." Kae gives Ry a warm look, and then glances at Anuk-su, slightly disapproving of her very public discussion of Ariarh's personal dealings. Such youths thinking of matrimony... not something I have time to worry about right now...

"How do we think we can track down the Kobolds once we set out?"

RE: about the Spider cave.
"I feel that it may be important while we are away to send a small expedition to the Spider Cave, to ascertain what is down there. If any have set us shop within our territory, they must be driven out. It is right near Oleg's terratory, and his lands would be the best staging ground for observation. I am reluctant to send men out there, as we are pressed for troops as it stands."

Durning to Drake, "Are there any at Oleg's that you would trust to gather information for us regarding the cave? We can address it ourselves once we have returned from the south, but information, now, and preliminary action would be beneficial."

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Ry spoke to Anuk-su quietly re Delain and matrimony. Certainly not before the Council. And Anuk-su spoke out of turn and loudly enough for all to hear. Just wanted to clarify that. Ry would keep her personal business away from public ears. :)

Male Half-Elf Invulnerable Rager 2/Crossblooded Envenomed+Draconic Sorcerer 1/ Trapper Ranger 1/Rage-Vivisectionist 2/Dragon Disciple 1

That comment was more directed at Anuk-su, but assuring ry that kae didn't take issue with it. jsut the timing and location of the comments...

BTW, what were we going to talk to henry, selendria, and the rest about?

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Kae, if we're going to go South, we may need potions and alike from Selendria and Patty, especially if we are dealing with a witch and other nasties .... In regard to Henry, that was the GM's call through Robert.

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

GM, Ariarh mentioned why she wanted Selendria and Patty there and it seems strange that Robert would summon Hank only and not his wife. But so be it.

Female Aasimar Druid 7 (Noble)

Embarrassed by the general flow of discussion regarding marriage and what was overheard of Anuk-su's comment about Delain, she turns the discussion back onto council business, "My apologies. The title of Empress will do fine. Let us proceed with town matters and details pertaining to our journey south," keeping the embarrassed tremor from her voice and hoping her face was not flushed.

In relation to Kae's suggestions regarding the kobolds and the Spider's Nest, "Indeed, both matters will be addressed and as Robert suggested we can make a list and look to the tasks that have the greatest precedence and work through them. For now, we must concentrate on preparing for our next quest. I need to know how many will be joining us and we require detail from our Ustalavian friends as to what we are searching for exactly. I realise we are travelling to map and make claim to lands there, but I believe there are other crucial ventures in the form of these artifacts of power our enemies seem to be seeking."

Respectfully addressing Dashan and Aliento, "Gentleman, thank you for attending to our summon so diligently. I would ask that you relay all that you know of the lands south and what items you have been tasked by your Order to find and retrieve. The more we know, the better prepared we can be."

Drake nods.

"I agree sir - further, if I may - were we to send a group from this town directly - they may be followed or tracked. It may be that we are fortunate - and our good friends the Osirions have no knowledge of that cave - then again... But, if we sent a proper company - they may discover it, never mind weakening the position of the town."

"Now - as for the people at good Master Oleg's? I am not entirely certain - yet, for this specific mission I would send a personal man - one that you trust from here as your acting co-commander. That person I would have meet up with Commander William Tinker - if you recall - he is the commander of the small garrison there. He has served for nearly six months - and knows something of the stone already - as he was in command during the foray west when that Ustalavian assaulted the tower and attempted to take Dasha. He is trustworthy - and moreover - the Marshal of the area. He will take care of the details, I'm certain."

"As to a messenger - I would recommend either Mak Morn or Henry Ironhorse - both are known and respected by Tinker, and are trusted besides. And, should they disappear for a week or two to travel north - I would think that no one in town would miss their appearance enough to spy for them. Would we to send one of the kobolds - well; there are only four of them, I think their absence would be noticed quickly."

"That is, of course - my suggestion, though."

Yikes! Terribly sorry, I missed the first name. I thought you just said "Ironhorse". In which case - Henry is NOT there, but Patty and Selendria are, instead. :)

Wow! That's kind of a long answer - so it will take me a bit to write. You'll see something on the board regarding it later tonight, though, as soon as I can write it and post it.

If Hank is there, that is alright too. That is if the patriarch and matriarch of the Ironhorse clan aren't too busy to both attend. ;)
