Me Chief Gutwad. Me want to know why you here. Why Licktoad's need you.

Male Goblin Sorcerer (primal fire bloodline) 1

A goblin wearing fetishes of cloth, carved bone, and tinder steps forward and begins to sing. At certain points in his song, he tosses a fetish to the ground and sets it aflame with a word and a gesture.

"Ponk Burngood best when time to fight,
makes much fire, crackly and bright.
Horse hooves stomp, and horse hooves mash,
but horse can't stomp when burned to ash!
Doggies bark, bare teeth, and chase;
Ponk not afraid! Blast fire in face!
Chief is wise, can pick the rest,
but Ponk be first, and Ponk be best!"

Goblin

A tall, lanky goblin wearing leather horsehide armor studded with keys, belt loops, and boot buckles and a bucket as a helmet walks forward. He seems to be a hunter, spear in hand, with bow, sword, and bear trap across his back.

He bows, but keeps his eyes on the chief the whole time. "Chief Gutwad summon Grulo Barkmangle. Grulo come, as asked." He then tosses four mangy rabbits at the feet of the chief.

Grulo turns slowly and addresses all present as he chants, holding his spear high as he does.

"In the trees and in the night, Grulo stalking out of sight.
Find the trails and paths and tracks, hunt the critters, make them snacks!
Grulo hunt and Grulo find, lots of food and fun for tribe.
Scared not of horse or dog or man, Grulo not flee, he make a stand!
Grulo Barkmangle is silent hunter, try and fail to find another!"

Grulo then spits a snotty glob on Ponk's charred fetish and takes a place near the side of the room.

A maniacal looking goblin, perhaps too smart for his own good, steps foward. He has Pale green skin, wears a crude hide jacket with lots of pockets, and has a thick bound tome with lots of pictures inside...

"Chief Gutwad! I have no singing for you, I only give you my talent!
I blow things up dat stand in tha way of tha Licktoads! Be it biggun, mangy dog, or wee men, I blow dem ta bits!"

Staggering forward, clearly drunk, an irregularly strong goblin plops himself down in front of the chief. Outfitted with only his backpack and a bottle of strong booze, the goblin sprays,

"Chief! Me sing better! Me sing great!
Me sing song of dead dog's fate!
Me fall down next to big dog,
Me laugh and call it hog,
Dog get mad, start to swing,
Dog miss Nenus, me still laffing!
Then Nenus swing, nenus swing back!
Doggie do down, doggie now snack."

Male

gameplay post is up feel free to interact amongst yourselves in the mean time

Goblin

Should we be posting this in the gameplay forum?

Nenus:
Had to tell you, I had a mild dyslexic moment when glancing at your name. I read it as "Penus Nukefang." :P

Female Goblin Cavalier 1

Erahai and Bark! report for duty. And Bark! demands Kobold meat. mmmm.... Kobold meat....

Male

I just wanted to make sure everyone was here. I have posted the intro in the gameplay thread.

Taldor

Male Human Gamemaster

I'm thinking this thread is more an EXAMPLE of play, not really an actual occurence in game.

Female Goblin Cavalier 1

GAAAHHHH!!!!

RL swallowed me there for a few days. I'll post either tonight or first thing in the morning.

Nothing like the Flu running rampant in your family to throw things out of wack!

DaWay ... What was the result of the riding Squeally Nord?

Nevertheless, I showed that Goblin what for.

Male

You rode for 18 seconds. That's all you needed to get the gift.

Excellent... but there was no post as to the outcome or reward for the riding task. Unless I have become clueless and become rather unobservant. Which could happen these days... :)

Very good, dis Dragon Brew Gourd fur you.as one of the goblins hands you a clay gourd. But I has another challenge for you. Chief says if you can eat an entire bag of Bull slugs reel quick like he will loan you him weapon the Gorge of Gluttons By this time you are gathering an impressive crowd cheering you on.

This challenge consists of eating 5 bull slugs in a minute. Each slug is a full round action to eat. Because these slugs are foul tasting, and because of the slim, difficult to chew. Successfully eating one will require a FORT save per slug. Or you can make it easier, lower fort save, and not spit out the slime bladder and swallow whole but will require a more diffult fort save at the end.

sorry i guess i should be more clear. I will try and do that in the future.

Goblin

Updating from a family member's computer.

My laptop finally died, and until I can afford to fix it or replace it, I won't be able to post more than about once a week.

Male

I am said to hear that. But I understand. Do you mind if during combat I take control to keep a steady pace going?

Also, sorry about the lack of post yesterday had to take care of sone stuff with the wife. Our daughter is due in June si we have to get stuff prepared.

Just realized June is going to be an awesome month with my daughter being born and the advanced races guide coming out ;-)

KnNature-2: ...Spider? WHAT IS THIS DEVILRY OF WHICH THY SPEAK?

I did not post as I thought you would have resolved the surprise round before actions for round 1.

Goblin

I'm able to post more regularly now, if you couldn't tell. :)

I would prefer you roll reactive group saves, especially while not in combat- it'll go a long way towards speeding the adventure.
Well, that's my two cents.

Male

If that's what everyone wants that's fine. I just know some people are particular about that.

Goblin

I'm okay with that. In real life I prefer to roll my own, but it does speed up gameplay in pbp.

I just can't believe my nonsense hailmary two weapon fighting actually worked. A shame handaxes don't crit on a 19.

Male

so here's the thing this adventure is quickly coming to an end. However I like several of your playstyles, so I am extending this offer to you. This is a prequel to the Jade Regent Adventure Path, would you like to continue the story as new characters in the Jade Regent AP? Please note, that if you do decide to do the AP I will invest more time than I do for a module.

Male Human Fighter 15/Reaping Mauler 5

I would be interested in playing, maybe this time as someone who speaks more...

I would be interested in playing the Jade Regent AP if you would have me.

Goblin

I would not, only because I'm already a player in a Jade Regent PbP and real life has been getting increasingly more busy lately. But I greatly appreciate the offer.

Qadira

Male (mostly) Human Level 2 RPG Monkey

I'm already playing in one PbP and DMing two others, so I'll bow out. I joined this one because it was a one-shot and I wanted the chance to play in it. Thanks for the offer though.

Taldor

Male Human Gamemaster

If its the difference of needing the player and keeping the group a little more tight knit, I'll gladly play here.

Male

No doesn't sound like a go so I will withdraw the offer and invest more into the homebrew
