Ok, I got the pdf but I haven't played since 2e so I'd be a bit of a noob crunchwise... But as I was reading I was thinking dwarf rigger, and low and behold there's a pregen dwarf rigger. But feel free to be brutally honest: though I have my head around the fluff and could do a good background, would you want someone who was maybe not awesomely familiar with the system in your game? And if so, would using the pregen be cool or no?
Yes new is fine and pregens are okay. I'd like something more original but that's okay. You will have to come up with the fluff if your one of the ones chosen.
Neko: jumping the gun a bit there buddy. I haven't made my selections yet. Recruitment is still open through this weekend. I will then make my selections. As far as settings go I am leaning to Vegas.

I could alternatively play as former Lone Star Detective, Lt. Bob Evans. After Lone Star pulled out of Seattle and Knight Errant came in, Evans "retired" early and took to the Shadows after a couple of his associates disappeared under unusual circumstances during the handover. Evans has hit a bit of a rough patch, funds are running low, and he is no closer to solving his mysteries. With his bleeding heart for the downtrodden and his skills pickup with Lone Star, Evans does his best to cut a little of the cancer that infects the city.
Lt. Evans could be interesting. Phineus has the crazy-high Charisma but with Evans you could dump a lot of those points into contacts. I could easily see spending 40 points or more on contacts with a character with an ex-lonestar detective, and the detailed knowledge of police procedure cold be nice for keeping us out of trouble.
Ok all of those who have submitted a character (even pregens) I am picking all if you. I am hoping that half of you stick with it. This is 2 characters more than I was planning on so I will be upping some encounters and adding more plots. Discussion thread will be opened shortly.
Sweet. I will get some fluff together quick smart. Also, I'm from Australia, and it would be fun to play an Aussie dwarf rigger in Vegas. Would that suit you? I promise I won't type in annoying Aussie slang/drawl... Cobber.
Littlehewy that's fine. Also there will be. Acharacter questionairre I'd like all o you to answer. It will be up tonight. Those of you who want a head start it is the one from the runners companion.
I'm sorry, I think I might back out of this one up front rather than later on. The only exposure I've had to Shadowrun is a previous abandoned pbp and reading the rulebook through; I think I might just bog you guys down since I don't know the rules very well. Have a good game, though!
I am going to have to find some work that actually pays, and quick! I just paid out the bills for the month and I am tapped out. I don't know how I will cover expenses, let alone Jenny's tuition. You would think with all of the problems going on out there I would be able to tap into a little of it and maybe help the little guy out doing it. Drek, I am the little guy now.
Is there any space left? I have been looking for a shadowrun game for quite a while and would love to join. Would like to throw an ex-military mage into the mix. Race yet to be determined.
Misterlurch we had one drop. If you are to join I would like your sheet and backstory by Friday. I would also prefer noto have another awakened character in this crewe of runners.
Neko is mostly focused on the 'face' roll, exploiting his status as a minor celebrity in the combat biking leagues to get favors and access, but he has a significant dip into piloting ground vehicles... should be handy back up for our rigger.
Yep. Someone with access to big guns and the expertise to use them would certainly be handy. I don't think we have anyone who knows their way around a sniper rifle, either...
What would be the enemy rating of the las vegas humanis policlub? I assume it would have 100-1000 members and sprawl-wide presence, but matrix presence and magical resources I dunno.
Also, could UCAS military count for the Records on File Negative Quality? (p.109 Runner's Companion)
Any objection to me buying cyber/bioware at better than alpha grade?
1. I don't know because I won't have the books in front of me for another 10 hours or so.
2. Again don't have the books in front of me. Off hand I would say yes.
3. No
Ah! Too late to the show it appears. I love the Shadowrun setting. Every single year modern society comes closer and closer to achieving the Matrix conceptualized in Shadowrun 4E. I almost can't wait for it to be reality.
