Arabeth |

Arabeth nods and does offer her friend a polite curtsy to acknowledge that the other woman may be in the right to act in the way she did. As Blythe walks away, Arabeth turns to Master Foxglove.

Alric Morgaine |

Alric blushes slightly and turns to give Aimea an appraising glance, then realizes that her muffled giggles mean she is jesting with him. He sighs, because left alone with her, he really wouldn't want her father interrupting, but she'd probably have not have gone down to the basement with him in the first place.
He turns his attention back to the good Father with some difficulty and distraction, awaiting his response.

Priest/Elf group:
The Sheriff walks in and says Good, I am glad to see you again. Shalelu was just telling us of her exploits. Perhaps you should.. He is quickly interrupted by Shalelu grabbing the feather and says, This could be anyones, but if I am not mistaken it is a former student of mine. But he left quite sometime ago. Shunned by his family for being a half breed and mistake of his mothers.
The priest says Tobyn was nothing special just a clerical (As in dealing with papers) worker in the church.
Aldern Foxglove group:
He says Easy now, I merely wanted to offer you and your friend a chance to improve your station. It would please me greatly if you and your company would join in in a Boar Hunt tomorrow. Say an hour before Saranrae says her goodbyes for the evening.
Blythe I am assuming you are there for the invite. If not let me know and I have something else for you.

Aimea Riverside |

Shalelu's words ring in Aimea's ears, she no longer listens to the rest. 'Shunned by his family for being a half breed and mistake of his mothers.'
"She could almost be describing me..." the words slip out of Aimea's mouth, she doesn't even realize she has said them out loud.
She is visibly upset. She stands close to Alric, almost pushing against his back, leaving barely an inch between her and him. She does this instinctively as if to shield herself against the person talking. She wipes something from her eye and forces herself to swallow.
Her lips not far from Alric's ears, "Who is this... half breed... ? Where can we find him?" She bites her lip hoping to prevent her from saying anything else.

Arabeth |

Arabeth does graciously curtsy to master Foxglove's invitation.
"It shall give me pleasure to carry your invitation to the rest of the group." She smiles before hurrying off and catching up with Blythe again.

Alric Morgaine |

Alric clears his throat then asks Shalelu, a little louder than Aimea's soft words in case they weren't audible to anyone but himself, [b]"Does this student of yours have a name? And where would do best to try to find him? Do you think working with goblins and graverobbing would be something he might have stooped to for some reason?"[b]
Although, for all we know, the fletching was left behind by someone trying to STOP the goblins... no, there was no sign of a fight of any kind, that is unlikely.
Aimea - I wasn't sure if that was asked loud enough to be heard, or a prompt for Alric, so I took it as a prompt and asked again - but basically same questions.... DM - if Aimea's questions were asked loud enough for Shalelu to hear, then Alric would have asked the last question only.

Arabeth |

Arabeth smiles in return.
"Indeed." She arches an eyebrow. "Is there some history between yourself and Foxglove? Do you wish to share?' Arabeth asks politely while falling into step with Blythe.

Blythe Astor |

"I tied him to a chair and fu...ahem," she coughs, looking sideways at Arabeth. "I can't say that to you." she mumbles. "I, ah, boarded his ship a while ago." she chuckles. "The booty was lacking. And the hapless fool became too attached."

Arabeth |

Arabeth laughs, "Perhaps I can teach you how to handle the knots better fro when you try that next time?" Arabeth smiles, "Getting them just right is always the trick." (^_^) She continues to walk along with Blythe.
We should catch up with every one else soo, right?

The elven woman says sadly His name is Tsuto. He is the half-brother of our dear Ameiko. As far as grave robbing. No, I do not think so but he always did carry such a heavy weight on his shoulders for someone so very young. She then carries on Belor’s told me of your work against the goblins—well done. I’ve dedicated the last several years of my life to keeping them from causing too much trouble around these parts, but they’re tenacious and fecund little runts. Like weeds that bite.
Anyway, there’s five major goblin tribes in the region, and, traditionally, they’re pretty good at keeping each other in line with intertribal squabbles and the like. Yet from what I’ve been able to piece together, members of all five tribes were involved in the raid on Sandpoint. A fair amount of the Mosswood tribe goblins I dealt with yesterday were already pretty beat up, and there was a lot of chatter about the ‘longshanks’ who killed so many of them. Now that I’ve met you, it seems obvious from their descriptions who they were talking about. Seems like you’ve made an impression.
In any event, the fact that the five tribes are working together disturbs me. Goblin tribes don’t get along unless they’ve got something big planned, and big plans require big bosses. I’m afraid that someone’s moved in on the goblins and organized them. And judging by these recent raids, what they’re organizing seems like bad news for all of us. And after what you've told me I think the head of the snake is the one responsible for the graverobbing yesterday.

![]() |

"There's something about this graverobbing that just doesn't sit right with me. Why this man? Was he just the freshest body, the last person buried? Or did he know something? Father, you said he was a clerical worker. What kind of information did he have access to? Any important papers, sensitive or long-buried history?" Cerin asks.
Returning to Shalelu, he remarks, "Whether he is involved or not, Tsuto is the only lead we have right now. He might have seen something. We would appreciate any help you could give us in finding him. Perhaps we should try and meet up with Arabeth, her ties to Miss Ameiko might be useful in getting her to tell us about her half-brother..."

@ Blythe working on a pm. Expect it by tomorrow sometime.
Inside the Rusty Dragon. Rosie hands the note over to you her eyes still red and puffy from crying
I hope this letter finds you well, and with some free time on your hands, because we’ve got something of a problem. It’s to do with father. Seems that he might have had something to do with Sandpoint’s recent troubles with the goblins, and I didn’t want to bring the matter to the authorities because we both know he’d just weasel his way out of it. You’ve got some pull here in town, though. If you can meet me at the Glassworks at midnight tonight, maybe we can figure out how to make sure he faces the punishment he deserves. Knock twice and then three times more and then once more at the delivery entrance and I’ll let you in.
In any case, I don’t have to impress upon you the delicate nature of this request. If news got out, you know these local rubes would assume that you and I were in on the whole thing too, don’t you? They’ve got no honor at all around these parts. I still don’t understand how you can
stand to stay here.
Anyway, don’t tell anyone about this. There are other complications as well, ones I’d rather talk to you in person about tonight.
Don’t be late.
Tsuto

Arabeth |

Arabeth stares at the note for a few seconds, then gives Rosie a comforting hug.
"Hey? we'll sort this out." She smiles encouraging to help bolster the other woman's courage.
"I take it Amieko is not to be found...?" Arabeth asks the Rosie.

Arabeth |

Arabeth nods, "Time is short then. We must hurry." she nods to the others "Let us quickly gather what things we need from our rooms, meet here and thence off to the glass-works." Arabeth's voice is stern, though not stringent nor commanding.

Blythe Astor |

"In? What do you mean, in?" Blythe asks, startled. "You guys, stopping a goblin from killing someone in front of you is one thing. Seeking out someone who went to the effort to organize the little murderers is another!" She looks around, exasperated. "We are not the town heroes! We aren't supposed to run off and be detectives!"

Arabeth |

Arabeth straightens, turns slowly and steps closer to Blythe. Making no sudden motions she slowly removes the clasps that holds her cloak against her shoulders.
With a soft rustle of feathers Arabth extends her sable black pinions, stretching them out as far as they will go.
"I am here now to save my friend." She explains simply to the woman,
"What fate says happens as I go about it?' She gives a quirk of a grin, "Well...that's why we have Bards to tell such tales, hey?" she glances to Alric. Arabeth settles her wings again and resets the clasp,
"I'm going to be back here in a few minutes. I'll be happy for any one who wants to help." She nods and smiles to them all before quickly hustling up to her room.
Sorry if I am a tad to fierce, but Amieko is a friend of the character. *Bows*

Blythe Astor |

"Arabeth..." Korihor sighs as the inquisitor walks upstairs, and entreats the others instead. "Ameiko is meeting her brother about her father...not goblins. She's not kidnapped. She's an adult. And I don't see how her having wings changes that."

![]() |

Cerin chuckles. "You protest much about being a hero for someone who stood up and fought for the town. What's wrong, don't want to 'ruin' your image of being hard and cold. If you really didn't care, you wouldn't have come with us so far, now would you?" He says as he smiles kindly.
"I don't know if this man deserves punishment or not, but it's a lead to finding out about the goblins, and perhaps the grave robbing. I think most of us have some reason we are following this path. Whatever yours is, please don't stop now. We could use your help."
"And even if you discount all that, I do enjoy your company..." he finishes with a twinkle in his eye.

Aimea Riverside |

"Besides... this man, His story reminds me of my own. I don't know if hes done anything wrong, and I hope not, but clearly something is going on. So I am going to check it out. And if Ameiko is in trouble? Or this man has done wrong I intend to pitty him and stop him."
She added, "I may not be a hero... but I need to find something in life. I figure this is a start."

![]() |

Just waiting for everyone to check in, after that we can head to the glassworks, I am imagining the time is somewhere in the late afternoon by the time you reach the class works.

Arabeth |

Arabeth comes bounding back down the stairs, her chain shirt glinting. The sword strapped to her hip. She has a chain of sorts wrapped about her waist and two bandoleers cross her chest. Atop her head are lenses of some description, their glass a dark, smoky hue.
Right?" (^_^) She beams, "Who's off with me?" She looks to Blythe, though her face is neutral. She steps up to the other woman, so as to have a quieter conversation and not such as to crowed the other woman.
"The letter indicates that Amieko's Father might be in league with the Goblins. The family has owned the wondrous glass works since..." And Arabeth can do no more than shrug,"Well...forever, really. If Amieko's father has gotten wind of this meeting, then there might be Goblins about." Arabeth frowns.
"Though...I find it odd that her brother wants to have the meeting there as opposed to slipping into a back room here..." Arabeth voices her suspicions...but the rest of he information stands.
"I would welcome your aiding me in this, honestly." Arabeth smiles openly and with true warmth to Blythe.

Arabeth |

Arabeth smiles and gives a nod of thanks to Aimea. (^_^)
SO, other than awaiting Alric's response and Blythe's turn of mind I do believe we're ready to be off? Every one got everything they need? (^_~!)

Blythe Astor |

From DaWay
"You arrive at the outskirts of town to a run down farm, the house is in shambles but you see a boy and a girl outside playing with a mutt. The parents are no where to be seen though you can hear the pounding of metal out back from a structure."
Blythe looks sideways at Arabeth, then clears her throat. "Aeren? Verah? Is your mother about?"
Blythe sighs. "This is a fools errand. But someone needs to protect Alric, so I'm in." She nudges Aimea and winks.

Arabeth |

Arabeth notes the glance Blythe gives her and though she smiles to encourage the other woman, she takes a polite step back. Arabeth smiles warmly to the children, trying to be reassuring for a stranger.
Arabeth grins, even stepping closer to give Blythe a quick hug of thanks.
If Arabeth noticed the slight jibing of Alric, she shows no sign of such.
Yay! Off to the nefarious meeting.

Alric Morgaine |

Alric smirks at all the jibes... and then smiles engagingly. "First of all, I'm not THAT kind of bard."
"Second, I most heartily feel the need to go on this errand. You are right, Blythe, we have no official capacity as protectors of the town, but we DID take it upon ourselves to do so in the heat of the moment yesterday. Now, we are sort of committed, and I feel not only obligated to follow the path, but desirous to discover the truth behind the attack and desecration."
"Oh, and third," he says, as he bows toward Blythe, "I most sincerely need protecting. And a bevy of such beautiful and skilled protectors are more than I could have ever imagined in my sweetest dreams." He gives Aimea and Arabeth a broad wink and grinz.
"Shall we go, then?"

Arabeth |

Arabeth blinks in surprise at Aimea's question,
"I know Ameiko." She points out. "I am as much a visitor here as any one else. It is just that I have spent more...holiday time here in Sandpoint and have gotten to know Ameiko as a wonderful hostess of the Rusty Dragon." Arabeth clears up the misconception Aimea and perhaps the others might have.
"We've shared many a fine evening at dinner and drinking, with Ameiko the consummate entertainer." Arabeth gives Alric a quirked smile. "You will enjoy her playing, she is quite the bard as well."
Arabeth looks towards their destination as it becomes more visible between the houses,
"I think the past tales of Ameiko's family is as tangled a plot as any Bards sad tale." Arabeth shakes her head.
"No...I would consider myself but a passing friend. Not one who is close to any family secrets." She points to the looming building,
I know the Kaijitsu name is from some distant land that their...grandfather came from? The family settled here and established the glass works. Making items with a deft skill and shimmering beauty." Arabeth looks back at Aimea,
"Actually, I know far less about the Elven lass we've met than about Ameiko...which is saying a lot." She finishes...

Aimea Riverside |

"My own 'father' never any love for me. Obviously I reminded him of my mothers... mistakes... When she died any connection to my 'father' I had died with her. I guess ultimately its none of my business, I just... his story reminded me of myself I suppose."

Arabeth |

Arabeth nods at Aimea's words,
"When we are settled back at the tavern I might share some of my history." She confides to Aimea, but her voice if pitched to carry to every one in the group.

You arrive at the Glassworks, the building is curiously silent. There is evidence of a lack of traffic into the building.

Arabeth |

Arabeth looks over the face of the building that they can see...
"Now...what did the note say again? 'Knock twice, then three times, then once on the delivery entrance...'." Arabeth ponders.
Perception:1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22(Plus she has Darkvision 60')
"If I were a delivery door...what would I look like...?" She muses quietly to herself.
"They aren't easy to come by..." She looks to Blythe, trying to gauge the other woman's reaction and knowledge of the children.
"Maybe some day..." Arabeth assures the girl, though is loath to appear as if making any promises. Hiding a slight wince, she plucks a feather from amongst the many and offers it to the grl., she does glance towards the boy for signs of jealousy (And is ready to reward the scamp with his own, should it be necessary to smooth things over between the sibling). She stands and looks to Blythe for what their next course of action might be.

![]() |

"It doesn't look like anyone's around, but we should scout around the building just to be sure. Goblins can be tricky little buggers..." Cerin says quietly.
If no one else volunteers, he will sneak around the Glassworks and peek in the windows.
