new initiatives please.

You see a human samurai and another one of the saboteurs.

Because of the lack of the amount of enemies I am electing not to use a map please just inform who you are meleeing with or if you are attacking at range how far out you are.

If only I were devoted enough to be worthy of more spells! Kyra groans mentally, and then smiles, casting Heat Metal on her two foes... targeting the armor of the larger one and the sword of the other. (DC16 Will Save)

Heat Metal:
Heat Metal
EFFECT
Range close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target metal equipment of one creature per two levels, no two of which can be more than 30 ft. apart; or 25 lbs. of metal/level, all of which must be within a 30-ft. circle
Duration 7 rounds
Saving Throw Will negates (object); Spell Resistance yes (object)
Round Metal Temperature Damage
1 Warm None
2 Hot 1d4 points
3-5 Searing 2d4 points
6 Hot 1d4 points
7 Warm None

DESCRIPTION
Heat metal causes metal objects to become red-hot. Unattended, non-magical metal gets no saving throw. Magical metal is allowed a saving throw against the spell. An item in a creature's possession uses the creature's saving throw bonus unless its own is higher.

A creature takes fire damage if its equipment is heated. It takes full damage if its armor, shield, or weapon is affected. The creature takes minimum damage (1 point or 2 points; see the table) if it's not wearing or wielding such an item.

On the first round of the spell, the metal becomes warm and uncomfortable to touch but deals no damage. The same effect also occurs on the last round of the spell's duration. During the second (and also the next-to-last) round, intense heat causes pain and damage. In the third, fourth, and fifth rounds, the metal is searing hot, and causes more damage, as shown on the table.

Any cold intense enough to damage the creature negates fire damage from the spell (and vice versa) on a point-for-point basis. If cast underwater, heat metal deals half damage and boils the surrounding water.

Then she wields her scimitar and moves into flanking with Fung.

Now that everyone has posted here is a recap and moving the scene along. Please note that the Samurai is currently Large sized.

Kyra casts a spell that causes the samurai's blade to start heating up turning a dull orange the samurai seems to ignore the pain and grips it tighter. The saboteur begins fumbling with his dagger grimacing at the heat.

Al Suresh moves in and attacks the samurai after fung distracted him. Delivering a brutal blow to the back penetrating the lamellar. (28 damage)

The Samurai raises his blades, spins, and brings a brutal slash across the cheek of Al Suresh 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15 2d6 + 13 ⇒ (3, 4) + 13 = 20. Then takes a 5' step back This eliminates the flanking bonus for now.

I'm confused, why is Al taking the Attack of Opportunity? Is it because he was trying to move into flanking? I think that what he meant by move into flanking if possible was if he could do it without provoking, but I would check with him.

I will consider that Fung is behind the Saboteur, then, and put my hp back at full. Instead of going full defense, he will instead sink into another defensive posture, and strike with a flurry, the second strike an Elemental Fist.

Fung sinks into narrow-footed stance, striking with a back handed punch, then bending backwards if a blow follows swinging forward again with a hook to the gut, his hand bursting arcs of lightning with rumble of thunder, The leaf bends under the weight of the morning dew!

Amara and Tsuneo are merely poisoned by a paralytic.

Iko Tsuneo is suitably impressed by the Society’s honor and good intentions that he enthusiastically agrees to an alliance. He also identifies Shimazi as a former student he thought was killed years ago, and as a result he feels that he is personally to blame for indirectly risking the lives of Amara Li and her agents.
The all-but-guaranteed alliance with the Way of the Kirin is the capstone achievement of the mission Venture-Captain Amara Li undertook 2 years ago when she first brought the Lantern Lodge to Absalom and proposed expanded exploration of Tian Xia. The Lantern Lodge transitions from a minor faction and special interest into a fully recognized branch of the Pathfinder Society that might oversee even greater projects in Tian Xia.

Amara Li addresses the group:
“Several years ago I arrived in Absalom as a nearly unknown
figure who spoke of a nearly unknown land, and together we
endeavored to bring the wonders of Tian Xia to the Pathfinder
Society and in doing so draw the Society’s attention to
our land. We brought the Decemvirate knowledge of the
Hao Jin Tapestry, and it was we who guarded it against
further intrusion when our enemies exploited gaps in the
demiplane’s weave. With our efforts it is now one of the
greatest treasures and tools of the Society. Were that not
enough, we have now secured an alliance with an ancient
and honorable organization. There is much honor in what
we have done, and so much of it belongs to you for your
years of service.
“I have a few last tasks to conclude before I return to
Goka to lead an expanded lodge there—the Society’s new
regional headquarters. While our accomplishments thus
far are great, even greater work lies ahead for me, and I
cannot split my attention between the whole of Tian Xia and
interests in the Inner Sea. I shall always support you when
you are in Tian Xia, but your oaths and obligations to me
are now officially fulfilled. Do not think that you are being
abandoned. If you wish to seek a new patron, you will receive
a letter of introduction penned by my own hand. If you wish
to continue to serve me, do so by working alongside your
fellow Pathfinders and sending me news of your travels. For
now, rejoice, for we are victorious!”
