Several wet snaps announce the breaking of ribs like kindling. Tolus drops to the ground with a heavy thud, instantly going unconscious.

He smiles, but then sees the Kardswann smiling broader. Taldor hesitates, then stutters forward and spits out a pile of blood. He looks down, seeing the wound "Oh...that wasn't there a sec ago..." and falls over

I doubt it has 4HD or less, but Arizhel has no clue

Tolus is ready for the Kadswann's next attack, but the giant is just too strong and the impact of his blow travels straight through Tolus's shield to his arm, breaking it handily. Suddenly, the Gnoll leader is at Tolus's back. He handily cuts the broken Serpent-Man down.

Now at -5. My attack on the Kardswann still happens, I think.

Taldor stands up, staggering as he coughs out another pile of blood. He grabs his weapon and turns around...and feels the axe bite into the side of his neck. Eyes wide, he staggers back and pulls the blade out, putting a hand over the wound in a desperate attempt to stop the blood. He wheezes, unable to get air anymore. As he falls down, a tear rolls down his scarred face into his beard I lied to you Mary...I won't be coming back...

"Oh my, I guess you didn't miss. This can't be good! Um, Khat. . . I should have told you sooner, but I think . . ." The halflings upper-half drops to the ground as her knees buckle. Eyes wide open, with a beautiful serene smile on her face, the joyous glow slowly fades from her eyes, "Don't tell Zerika, she would be so sad . . . "

Arizhel is at negative nearly twice her con. No amount of healing will help this one.

Tolus steps behind a piece of rubble and readies himself to strike when the Giant returns.

Tolus knows the Kardswann is coming back for either Khat or Taldor, so he finds something to block a charge on himself and readies an action to attack to attack the Kardy when he enters reach. If the Kardy is charging then he'll get another AoO as Tolus marks the start of a new round, possibly producing two attacks at once.
