Ouch! I've broken the same toe 3 times before. Unfortunately there's not really anything you can do for a broken toe except maybe splint it to the toe next to it, but you can do that easily enough by yourself without going to the hospital. It's painful and annoying, but not nearly as debilitating as other kinds of breaks (of which I've had plenty too).

Yeah, I'm a medic and I know there is nothing you can do which is why I am not doing anything. I dropped a heavy item on four of them, it came down blunt pointy end first. Then the hurting began, then the pain, then the swelling, now all sorts of colors.

With my many broken toes and fingers, I have found that what works best for me is ibuprofen (anti-inflammatory) and a popsicle stick splint.

Splint: 2 pieces of popsicle stick, cut slightly longer than the broken digit, then tape the sticks to either side of the broken the digit using cloth tape. Don't tape too tight (goal is to stabilize, not cut off circulation).
Taping to the neighboring digit also helps stabilize. The splint keeps the digit stable, and provides a 'bumper' between your shoes and the injured toe..

The above is not intended as, nor shoule it be taken as, medical advice. It is merely a recitation of anecdotal experience from a lay person with a modicum of personal experience related to the condition expressed.

On a side note, no matter what the wife always wins. So regardless of the condition, do as instructed by the wife, and seek medical assistance. It will just make life easier for the coming weeks...

I remember when my dad got a fishhook so deep in his hand he couldnt get it out (trouble hooks, got 2 of them in past the barb). my mom kept nagging until he went to the hospital, then he just had a random nurse yank it out lol. hope you feel better and it heals well!

Hehe, it may have been better to Aid Another Malak like me so he got a bonus to his CMD/Escape artist check insetead of attacking it, but it's all good, we'll get it off. There are three of us focusing on it now after all.

So I've had a thought, would it be easier on everyone if I just rolled two initiatives, one for the group and one for the baddies?

The fights havn't been really dictated by initiative so far. We could play it out by 'group' and 'enemy' posts. We'd have to be careful to only post 2 actions per turn. If that was the case then the post that comes first on the board would be 'first' in initiative order and the order would probably shift round to round.

It would probably be more fluid and we would have an easier time playing off each other's actions.

I mostly summon flanking buddies for the rest. So, if you are willing to allow the flanking summons to provide benefit after the roll, I am ok with it. Zerika is going to generally provide flanking for Taldor, and Summons for Khatijah.

Arizhel - remember that Zerika was healed 2 points, just in case that made a difference. everyone was healed 2 points from a channel.

From a player standpoint, I am ok with her dying. She, and the eagles, have absorbed around 50 HP of damage, and dealt their fair share. It is everything a Summoner should do and expect. From a RP standpoint, it is devastating. This is the first time ever that Zerika has been dismissed aside from sleep...
