Raven M |
Raven stays to cover as much as she can and waits for the two east bandits to approach closer before using her sling again (delay for their movement unless they've stopped or something).
Xerell Maj'ir |
The half-elf says a soft prayer as Calistra blesses him with a healing aura, Xerell throws a dagger at the closest bandit.

first off a couple of issues.
Morgrym the minimum damage you can ever take is 1 nonlethal. This represents a hard hit to your armor perhaps a bruise or an ache that goes away shortly.
Angeus you cannot use stealth while being observed. Since you are in the group being attacked you are being observed unless someone tries to draw attention away intentionally.
Also, I apologize I forgot to take into account the range on the thrown dagger so I will not count that against anyone for this combat
Two bandits go down one from a bolt from Angeus' crossbow and the other from a dagger by Xerell.

Angeus |
Angeus jerks here head back as the arrow thuds into the tree next to her.
Crouching, she reloads her crossbow.
Is the bandit engages with Angeus, W Bandit, still 100 ft away?
Angeus |
Correction, Angeus was hit.
Angeus grunts as an arrow speeds out of the night and grazes her arm, slicing through the leather there and gashing her flesh.
Cursing, she works to reload her crossbow.
Question about distance still stands
Raven M |
Still staying to the cover of the trees, Raven aims her sling at the east bandit again and lets fly with a bullet.

Ok. he was at 5, and now is at -12. His con is 13, so he has one round to live.

Odds of making a ten not good then. Still.. might get a twenty.

Morgrym Dolgringrun |
Aren't we using these rules for criticals?

Sorry Adular, I don't think Xerell would hear it, while his back is turn to him and anyway with that distance I couldn't make it sorry buddy.

That's the first i've heard of us using those rules for critical hits. I was planning on using the standard.
Those are the rules for critical hits under "Armor as Damage Reduction". If we use the standard rules, can we treat AC like normal? Otherwise there is going to be a lot of confirmation rolls!
Morgrym carefully lines up his axe with Hatchett's neck. Then swings.
Adular |
Adular gasps again, and comes awake muttering, "I swear I was next in line, that ugly fellow took my ticket which is why I shrunk his head..." Then his eyes focus, and he realizes where he is, "I think I'm starting to hate arrows."
He clutches at his clothes, which are pretty drenched in drying blood, however, there are no longer any wounds upon his body at all, "I really must thank you all. I... I think I was very close to going some place I wasn't quite happy to be...not yet anyway."
And at max again thanks to the very nice heals from the nice folks.
Xerell Maj'ir |
Xerell smirks as the sorcerer wakes up, "Interesting dream? Hehe. Arrows are bothersome to us all my friend. Morgrym keep an eye on those two while I collect my items." The half moves and collects his spear and dagger as well collects the bandits items. Will take the items to the group.

"Disturbing really, but yes, interesting too," Adular helps Xerell disarm the bandits as he chatters, "Yes. I suppose a sharp arrow is a great nuisance to anyone but I do feel a bit bad about requiring all the healing. Others may need it, and what then? I'll have used it all up like a greedy child. I don't like being a burden...to anyone."
Angeus |
Walking over to Adular, Angeus squeezes his shoulder "I am glad you are well, Adular. "
She then walks over to the bandits. "All right you lot, the Swordlords have given us the duty of taming these lands, specifically of bandits such as yourselves. From your own actions we find you guilty of banditry , punishable by execution by sword or rope....unless some of you have some information on the rest of your merry band...leaders...locations...numbers....Quickly now! "
Adular |
Walking over to Adular, Angeus squeezes his shoulder "I am glad you are well, Adular. "
Adular smiles warmly, "Thank you for that." The ladies in this group are so nice. I wonder if Raven and she would like to go dancing some time? Of course, I'll have to learn HOW to dance, but truly I can think of no better reasons to learn.
He then observes Angeus' interrogation of the bandits.
Adular |
He takes it and eyes it, "Alas, your guess is as good as mine I fear. See, some magical types can detect magic with ease. That's a stunt I've not yet achieved. I've knowledge, but not yet knack. Soon maybe" He looks thoughtfully at it.
No detect magic spell yet and I think that's needed to truly identify things along with spellcraft, but in case I can get by without it...
Spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
Morgrym Dolgringrun |
"There's more, remember. Let's not get ambushed again." Morgrym growls. "Let's start the executions."
Coming closer he starts pointing at the bandits
"Eeny, meeny..."
Raven M |
Raven looks with some distaste at MOrgrym's suggestion, but says nothing at first. Finally she speaks. "Will you not offer these a chance at redemption as well? Or are they for some reason beyond such?"
Morgrym Dolgringrun |
"Your brother was offered a contract and accepted. He "Morgrym points to the first bandit to surrender "Simply stalled us till we could be ambushed. Contracts require time, time we do not have"
"If you would have them spared, then someone take their fealty. Now. Before I get over there. They were weak enough to surrender, but maybe they are strong enough to stand by an Oath." Morgrym's voice is full of contempt.
"If you feel they were tricked into surrendering, give them a sword and I will face them - one at a time - so they may face death in combat and redeem themselves."
Morgrym's face seems to be suggesting he feels he is being magnanimous, but he grumbles to himself.
"I said if you started taking surrenders you'd keep getting surrenders."
Adular |
Adular thinks over the dwarves' words, and announces to the men who have surrendered, "Are you truly willing to swear fealty to us to live and work as honest men hence forth rather than face the dwarf ...who has a very wicked looking axe so I wouldn't blame you for avoiding that... in single combat?"
Angeus |
"Yes, Fealty or the rope... not too hard a choice...Now then, this Stag Lord and the fort...details, details, details." Angeus says crouching in front of the man who talked.
