Where is this discussion board?

Male Human Cleric/ 2

Hello good sirs.

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Fighter 2

From here on, this thread will be strictly for gameplay. The discussion board will remain open.
Our story begins in the bustling city of Hidden Valley, capitol of Romain. Romain symbolizes all that is great of mankind; ambtion, rise and fall of the social strata, but most terrifying the thirst and lust for power. Over the millenia, the kingdoms of the realm have clashed. Whether it had been for resource, power, or zealot, the people of this realm have always known fear. The Realm has been around for as long as man, elve, dwarve, and sentient creatures can remember. The people have forever known fear and were cast into am age of darkness. But in the more recent years, life has become industrious and bright. Knowledge is spreading for the better or for worse, and the people must come to terms.
Recently, a marvelous discovery was made. Or part of one to be more accurate. Mysterious coded pages containing vast amount of ancient but modern print. Some believe it to be the hand of god. Some it is wealth. But for others, it is the eye of power.
The common folk like usual have forgotten the past news. The more elite folk however, are on the move and in a race to do so.
The talk of the elite minds has led you Professor, to the humble cafe of Leaf.
Samuel, last the merchant heard of any kind, was a man in the downtown portion of Hidden Valley in the abode of The Leaf, and has lead you so.
Please roll Diplomacy checks

Male Human Cleric/ 2

I don't understand what I'm rolling my diplomacy check for.

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Fighter 2

Sorry I should have explained more. It will be used for gathering information and if you can pinpoint anything specific and that may be useful. Essentially, you could speak in character and ask the buriestta, waiter, or patrons. Diplomacy check still please.
Inside, are tables filled with patrons. Many people are enjoying a brew of tea. The buriestta is at the counter entertaining folk, a few folk are playing cards. And there's a man in the back, wearing a black stiff fedorra, brown cow skinned leather tied boots, and simple laden trenchcoat.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

Samuel approaches the men playing cards. He is not a gambling man himself, but having offered guidance to the occasional man who came to him after losing his life savings he felt that he had an understanding on how these sort of men think. After the introductions and a polite decline to deal in Samuel gets straight to the point and explains to the men what the merchant told him about this apparent ancient text and asks if they could provide him with any more information.

Opening the door I glance around the Leaf Cafe, inspecting it's haunts. "Quaint." I mutter to myself, removing my blackened Billy-cock and dark green peacoat. Holding onto my articles in an almost expecting fashion it comes to my surprise that there is no coat-check ready to take them off my hands. "Very quaint." I sigh. Shouldering my coat and holding my own hat I give my black hair a run through with my gloved hand as I step into the Cafe.

"At the bar, darkest tea you've got." I tell the waiter with no introduction, gesturing over the stool closest to the barista. Sitting down I cast a look about myself, almost looking suspicious before I address the barista. "You DO know who I am... Don't you?"

Liberty's Edge

To the professor,"One darkest tea coming right up. And no..."
To Samuel, the men playing cards are a bit confused in the inquisition you have offered, however they point along to the man in the back, in the suave black hat. "They call him, Big Ear. He knows all things strange but true. He may have what you're looking for."

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

Taken aback by the apparent disinterest of the barista I lean back in my stool looking coarsely at the offender. "Well... Perhaps news doesn't spread easily to caverns such as this." I say the latter under my breath as I lean on the bar. Waiting now for my tea pot to be delivered I once again survey the Cafe. Everything seems satisfactory, little leads me to surprise, people enjoying smoking pipes, drinking teas and coffees, discussion, playing cards, directing inquisitive men to mysterious looking strangers in the back of the-... "Hmm."

An eyebrow now raised I keep an eye on the man asking the card players questions I can't quite hear.

Professor
Your tea slides down the grooves of the bar. Fresh and steam brewed, you can feel the aura of the burnt Black Hollow leaves. Nothing appears to be out of the ordinary with the hooded man. Just a slightly out of key to your attuned natured kind of fellow it seems to be. Nothing more, nothing less.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

Switching perspective from third to first.

Thanking the men for the tip I turn my attention to the man sitting in the corner. I can't see his eyes as they are hidden beneath the rim of his fedora, but somehow I get the feeling that he is very aware of my stare. Feeling a bit nervous over the strange vibe the man, this Big Ear, is giving off I pat my chest just to remind myself of the chain shirt that is hidden under my worn black travelers clothes. Feeling the comfort of it's protection calms my nerves, I take a few humble strides over to where the man is seated.

Standing in front of him now I pause to give him time to recognize me so that I don't interrupt whatever thought he may be lost in. When he showed no such signs I cleared my throat and began to speak.

"Good evening mister, er... Big Ear. I was told that you were the one to talk to regarding the ancient text that was just discovered, the one that is rumored to have some sort of schematic or diagram for a weapon of some kind. Do you know anything about this?"

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Fighter 2

The man known as Big Ear, ruffles his paper, shrugs a bit, and looks toward you. He takes a minute looking you up and down, almost sizing you up, and almost mechanically at that. He offers you to sit at the table adjacent to him as he again picks up his paper.
"I hear these sorts of things all the time. Some true, others not. You seem like a man of God of some sort. Tell me, Father may I, what do you make of this 'forgotten memory,' what do you believe is the link to this mystery?"

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

Carefully observing the two men in the back I see the questioner sit down casually, nothing out of the ordinary here. My curiosity now sated I turn to my fresh tea. Black Hollow, what a cheap brew. I grab the warm handle of the pot and realize my purple gloves are still on. Dignified, I take off the gloves, pulling each finger before removing them from my hand. Placing the gloves in the pocket of my coat I move my hand carefully about the alchemetical components I keep handy. Deeper in the pocket I find what I was looking for, the address and name of my contact on a small piece of paper. I pull it out as I turn my attention again to the pot. Pouring myself a cup I am quite surprised by the dark hue of the tea, it looks much better than expected! Before bringing the cup to my lips I look at the piece of paper and curse practically into my tea, "Damn." the contact's name is blotted out.

After one sip of the dark brew I decide I'll have to take matters into my own hands. Cup of tea in hand, coat's arms around my neck and bowler in my open hand; up right of course, I begin to walk about the usuals, looking for one who would seem to be worthy of being my esteemed contact.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

Assuming that 'forgotten memory' refers to the text in question I taken a moment to gather my thoughts and then I respond.

"In all of my teachings at the church a common theme among demons and devils is their lust for power and control over mortals. Though I don't believe that they are the developers of such a text, seeing as mechanic advancement is more of a humanoid practice, I believe that they still might be connected. The rumors that I heard mentioned that what was found looked and felt ancient but the writing was very modern; the only explanation I could think of was that whoever developed and wrote this text was aided by the creatures of Hell.

I felt myself panting a little after my speech. I realized that I shouted this last part out of my concerned excitement.

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

I'll begin bolding my speech as well, also do I have the right to initiate a perception roll for realizing Samuel has, loudly, given away his intentions? I'll edit this post based on your decision

Male Human Cleric/ 2

I was actually wondering the same thing to whether or not I notice if Skyraper and the other patrons heard me.

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Fighter 2

Professor, after a sip of the Dark Black Hollow Leaf, standing up you seem to hear a man almost shout. He is dressed in robe and seems like some sort of holy man. You can't quite discern who he is really yelling at as the man in the back appears to not be paying any mind. This, may be your 'esteemed' contact.

Samuel, Big Ear shifts his focus toward the lower section of his paper, almost as if not even phased by the rising outburst. He takes a sip from an old rusty tankard, though at first glance you can not tell what he has drank.
Samuel Optional Perception Check

"It would behoove you if you could control yourself. There are those who would strike you where you stand with such arcanish gasts. You are indeed wise, but try not to be rash. But yes, you are right on to something regarding your teachings and the happening phenomena. Keep in mind, what I believe does not matter. However, one thing is for certain. Whether it be man, demon, or angel, the lust for power is present. I most definitely HEAR it. You also assume correctly that both this lust, in almost a biblical sense, is tied to this modern schematic of sorts."

Adam, you may roll a perception cheek to see if the professor hears any of this.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

Perception Check
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5

I allow myself time to calm down before I go about responding. Having this man confirm my suspicions about possible biblical involvement in this discovery chills me to the bone and fills me with a haunting sense of fear. Closing my eyes and rubbing my temples I try and recall all of the verses that speak of similar things happening in the past, and almost all of them tell of dark consequences.

"Is there any more you can tell me? I am not much of a fighting man, and I know little enough about science and technology myself..." my voice dropping to a whisper, "...but if I can do something, anything to find this text before it is used for evil I must. What is it? Where can I find it? Do you know of anyone who is familiar with the sciences who can help me learn what the schematics are for?"

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

Walking by the window I look out only for a brief moment before my attention is turned to the scene unfolding behind me. The mysterious man and his new black-clad companion have made something of an upset. The rest of the patrons seem to be uninvolved, quite suspicious.

1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

The walk over to the table leaves my mind racing. If I have heard correctly then perhaps I have gotten myself into something much bigger than I had thought. I could back out now, let all this unfold with out myself, but then where would I be? Who would I be? Then if I am apart of this my tale could be told, my name would regain its glory, everyone would know and respect me... But at what cost, I'm second guessing and i don't even know the whole question. Should I stop walking and turn around? Or should I- Gentlemen! Good after noon! Professor Beau Jericho Skyraper, of course. I say... That was a surprising decision.

My hand on my chest I look to these men, one distraught, the other unphased. The air was too ominous for my introduction it seems.

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Fighter 2

Samuel, you seem to notice nothing out of the ordinary.
"All I can do is point you in the right direction. I hear Ol Malley down the street may know some things. Gears, clocks, and that sort are his thing. He also knows much of the Old Faith, a compilation of hymns signifying the power of a creator. It tells of his might and power and wrath. Ol Malley can tell you more. He is right next door to Miss Duche down the street, the owner of Ye old Bagelry, the warm and lively pizzeria.
I hear they have these things called bagel bites, a new favorite kind o treat..
Anyways... Ol Malley can say more than I."

Almost immediately, Big Ear disregards your existence and back to his routine of ruffling his tribune.
Professor, through your keen observation you can pick up the gist of the collaboration that has just occurred. It seems now however, the conversation is one way and over.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

I deleted my last post because I got further ahead than Cody in the story. I will be more patient in the future and wait for the DM before I post.

I try to thank Big Ear for his information, but he suddenly seems too preoccupied with his news to notice me any more. As I rise to leave a strange man walks up to the two of us and booms in a confident voice "Gentlemen! Good after noon! Professor Beau Jericho Skyraper, of course." Very surprised by the sudden introduction, especially following the conversation that was just had, I stumble over what to say in response.

H..hello sir. Professor you say? At the risk of sounding rude I really can't talk, I've got um, business to attend to..."

My voice trailed off as I tried to get out and on to my business. I begin awkwardly yet earnestly walking towards the exit...

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Fighter 2

Big Ear seems to pay no mind.
I'll leave you guys a few posts for introductions, then we shall progress!

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

First the offensive barista, then a snuffed introduction and now these people don't want to converse with a man of my stature?! "Rude? Rude indeed sir! Or Father, should I say? Well Father, you and your friend there have committed a crime in my eyes! No etiquette, no introduction... Rude! That's all there is!" my voice now down to a whisper I pursue Samuel, finger pointed, "And don't you think for an instant that I missed out on your conversation. I tell you, Father, if you weren't a holy man I'd have half a mind to thrash you for undercutting my contact."

Turning around I look at Big Ear, him not paying any attention, his business apparently done. Before I turn to the priest I inhale and compose, the best I can before i continue, "Father, do forgive my rude outburst, now the way I see it is we're both in the same boat. Please, if you return my introduction in kind I'll be able to put this behind me and we can carry on with what is now OUR business."

Male Human Cleric/ 2

"Our business?" I say aloud more to myself than to my apparent new companion. "The same boat..?"

I look at the very properly dressed man in front of me and then back to Big Ear. This professor claims to have heard the conversation at hand, so there was no use denying my intentions, and Big Ear must have been this man's contact for what I can only guess was the same reasoning as myself.

A sudden thought strikes me: If this man is of science then he would be the very help that I would so desperately need in uncovering this mystery! "Bless you sir and let me humble myself in the eyes of the divine for being so rude. I am Father Samuel James Hallowborne, preacher hailing from the small town of Lakeview. Let us walk together and we shall discuss this matter that you say concerns us both."

The odd pair exit the cafe and begin walking towards the Ye old Bagelry. "So if I may ask Mr. Beau, what motive drives you to learn more of this mysterious text?"

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

A true introduction, almost proper! Very surprising I think to myself. Leaving behind the Cafe alongside my business partner I slide both gloves on and don my billy-cock, it feeling much warmer than before I leave my coat wrapped around my neck. Walking to the Bagelry I have much to ponder. Certainly this was not how it was supposed to be... A holy man managing to talk to my elusive contact before me and getting wrapped up in all of this. Or perhaps it has happened according to plan? Perhaps this man and I were to be associates from the beginning of this whole device. But then... Who's been planning any of this? I wonder if-

"So if I may ask Mr. Beau, what motive drives you to learn more of this mysterious text?"

"Please, please, such formalities can be thrown to the wind in our case, Father. Professor or just Beau will suffice. All I ask of you is that you refrain from any silly nicknames, we're both professionals, no? And how should I go about addressing you, Father?" a curious man, no doubt. I could probably ask him the exact same question, "You see, many men are interested in many things. I happen to be an interesting man interested with interesting things. When I hear word of..." my voice again to a whisper, I speak from the corner of my mouth "... Well when I hear what you've heard these things interest me most of all." shaking off the secretive feel my voice returns to it's normal ornate tone "But rest assured, my intentions are in no way aligned with anything that your beliefs may be at terrible odds with, if you catch my drift."

"Now it must be asked, I do hate repeating what's been said though... Are your own motives as I would presume?"

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Fighter 2

The two of you arrive at Ye Old Bagelry. The shop seems to be open and do welling well, as the aroma of Bagel Bites are in the air. The two of you may enter when you are through with introductions.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

He refers to himself as an interesting man who has interest in things that he finds interesting? I myself can't help but find him interesting as well. Despite the events of our initial introduction I feel as if the gods caused our paths to cross for a reason, so that he may help me prevent evil from finding this scientific text. I decide I will trust him.

"Father is acceptable, but you may also call me Samuel. I do catch your drift and I believe you as well. Now, if you were to presume that my motives were to prevent this discovery from being used wrongly then you presume correctly professor. I fear that demons are either behind the scribing of these diagrams or interested in them otherwise. I must find someone to confirm this, and furthermore stop whatever evil that is thretening to put a black smear on our world's pristine canvas. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder they say, but I have never been to a gallery and appreciated a landscape painted by a devil."

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

"I say, demons, devils and evils! My my, we've got our selves quite deep haven't we, Father? Let's just hope your talks about the nether are only presumptions." Walking with this man I can tell that his intentions are true, it's actually refreshing to be able to converse with someone who does not seem adept in double-speak.

Arriving at the Bagelry I motion, politely, for my cohort to stop for just a minor moment, "Father... I do have one question; which pertains to the over all success on what the two of us may embark on, let's say your talk of evils and demons is true and apparent, what exactly does a priest have in his array to deal with it?"

I'm ready to continue at anytime... Also, I know it's asking a lot... Could we get a somewhat detailed description of the town we're in? Or at least the neighborhood? I don't want to go into detail and write the world as a player

Male Human Cleric/ 2

I reach out to lay a hand upon my companion's shoulder.

"I agree Professor, I do hope that I am only making presumptions as well... If the worse should occur though I bear a crossbow for arms and a shirt of rings for defence, but my true weapon is my faith. The wrath of the gods can pierce deeper in to one's soul than any spear can in to the flesh. I may not be a mighty paladin or swordarm of the gods, but it is true that I believe that I am not defensless if our path leads us towards violence. My patron values the beauty of life as do I, which means we have a watchful ally in this."

Feeling myself quickly transitioning in to one of my sermons I change the topic away from me hoping that my answer satisfied the professor.

"What of you, friend? Which of the many sciences do you study and what skills do you posess to aid us?"

I'm ready to continue as well. You can move us along inside Adam once you answer Samuel's question.

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

Goodness... This man is just brimming with passion. How could anyone match the passion that he- Me? Did he just asked about me? "Father, Father. Your new found friend here is more than a student of science! Of course, I've studied in the classrooms of some of the greatest universities in the land but... They couldn't handle me." I notice my voice dropped to a much too serious tone with that last statement, I feel almost a scowl on my face and so I quickly transform it into a grin, of both pride and dignity.

"Father, you say that your patron values beauty. This may be true and I by no means wish to offend your beliefs but I tell you what... I brew beauty." I reach into the coat pocket and pull out four viles, each different color and hue. "Yes yes, I brew beauty, I brew hate, I brew awe, I brew cunning." I hold them up one by one, "I brew safety, I brew danger, I can drink horror, I can gulp love." holding one specific draft I hold it and my face contorts to a thousand yard stare. "Father, I can brew strength, destruction, power, insanity, light, sadness, warmth, creation, life... Death."

I look up to my companion, hoping I didn't put him off too much. Again I change my expression to one of pride and joy as I quickly put the viles back into my pocket. "Father, believe me when I say I am no ordinary Professor." I say to him politely gesturing to the door ahead of us.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

If mine and the professor's meeting was composed as music of the divine, where I asked for a tune I was blessed with a symphony. Truely this man I traveled with now was a master of his own art. Upon his gesture together he and I enter the bagel shop to learn what Ol Malley had to tell us.

Onward we are ready to go Cody! :-]

I will be posting up a grand setting of the world shortly. Great characters btw.
You arrive at the bagelry. The smell of cooked tomato basil and green onion herb fills the air around. You see a middle aged lady, with a sort of white towel on her head, and an uneven round disk spinning in a clockwise motion. This is Miss Duche. Groups of assorted age groups are spread across the powdered skewed floor. A few young lady folk give you both the winks as you enter the establishment. And at the end of the counter sits a man tinkering with bagel and gear. A large tome lies on the counter in front of him. The old man wears two lenses connected by a rubbery like strap across his brow. His boots unlaced and untied, they ride up his ankles into his baggy, worn, and torn pants. He wears a white and red striped shirt with a large brown vest covering him. The man appears to have no sense of fashion. It is safe for you to assume who this may be.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

"What a uniquely exciting place this is. Do you smell that Professor? It's tomato basil! Basil is one of my favorite herbs you know."

I take a long moment to look about the room. The activity in the kitcen is unlike anything I have ever seen back home, and not often do young ladies give winks to men in their late thirties. I consider my own hunble looks and then the Professor's confident get-up, silently concluding that both girls probably meant to wink at Beau.

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

As we enter the bagelry I stop quickly at the entrance. As I look about the room I see flour on the floor... In veritable piles! Quaint does not even do this establishment justice. I gaze about looking at the patrons, they seem to be normal enough, lowly if anything. A few young girls seem to throw me signs of affection, I can't blame them really. I fight my urge to return the gesture when I realize their garbs seem to belong to servants, commoners at best. I take note of the largest pools of flour and curse my freshly polished black boots as I take my first step in.

"Quite remarkable nose for herbs you have there, Father!" I stick my nose in the air, surveying the thick aroma while removing my billy-cock. "Basil for sure! Some of that would not be too bad for a Draft of Shame... If processed correctly that is. Father, we're to speak with one Ol Maller? Lil Matty? How are we supposed to find him among the rift-raff? Blast what did that One Eye fellow say?"

For metagame's sake, imagine the people of Hidden Valley are composed of attitude and slight culture of Poulsbo, Gig Harbor, Silverdale, Bremerton, and Port Orchard. They are sheltered, rich, resortful, crime ridden, and low profile; respectively and numerically described pending the district you're in. Now you're in a Silverdale like one.

Male Human Cleric/ 2

"I believe Big Ear said that Ol Malley would be right next to Miss Duche or something of the sort. Perhaps we can ask her?"

I walk up to the middle aged woman who is clearly in charge of the shop. I hold up my hand and wave a symbol of blessing upon her as I state my greeting.

"Miss Duche I'd assume? Blessings upon you. My friend and I here were pointed in this direction to find a man by the name of Ol Malley. If this name forms a caricature within your mind would you kindly point us in his direction?"

Liberty's Edge

Male Human Fighter 2

Before she can even say "Hello", the man down the counter exclaims "Why that be me!"

Male Human Cleric/ 2

Staring at the man and taking in his very, very odd appearance it just makes sense that this would be the time of man to go by Ol Malley. Realizing the rudeness of his thought I say a silent prayer asking for forgiveness and walk down to his end of the counter, pulling out two stools for my companion and myself.

"Hello my good sir." I say conducting the same blessing that I had given to Miss Duche and then taking a seat. "The man known as Big Ear said that you would be the one to turn to about one, ahem, ancient yet modern diagrams."

Liberty's Edge

The man almost immediatly sit upright, looks around, then hunches back down. He offers you each a Bagel Bite."First of all!... I need help solving something.. You see.. I'm a bit puzzled..
I'm trying to figure out how to name three consecutive days, the catch is that the sequence cannot include Wednesday, Friday, nor Sunday? How can this be?"

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

Both etiquette and fashion have been dealt a terrible blow by the dwellers of this place. One part of me is thankful my associate has taken point with these two workers, the other part wants to erupt and spit my well articulated acid-words on the two. I follow Father Hallowborne and take seat after him, cautiously of course. Just the idea of getting flour on my purple vest or black satin slacks makes me second guess even sitting down. For the moment; however brief is dependent on the manner of our newly acquainted contact, I will let the priest conduct with these two.

"...I'm trying to figure out how to name three consecutive days, the catch is that the sequence cannot include Wednesday, Friday, nor Sunday? How can this be?"

"Sir," my voice much louder than being proper, "How can you even begin to give us a word problem with out even giving us the courtesy of a proper introduction?" My tone is serious and almost scornful. "If it weren't a matter of business I would not even give your jape the benefit of my distinguished answer. However, this childlike challenge to my intellect is only itching to be quelled and with a deft Yesterday, today, tommorow I answer your puzzle with both contempt and pity."

My face feels flushed and I look down quite quickly. I glance at the two men and give an ashamed wave of my hand. "Please... Pardon me. If it means anything I meant as little offense as possible." I say as I place my hand over my brow.

Liberty's Edge

Almost oblivious to the standard elitist attitude, Ol Malley raises his hands in the 9 and 3 o clock positionm and brings them slamming together.
"Bravo my good sir. I believe that now I believe you believe to know what you're getting into."
The strange man looks around again, this time more aware.
Now, I ask this puzzle simply due to the Old Text. It talks briefly in chapters known as Genesis, Exodus, and Revelations; the span of time, its beginning, its span, and its end. I have no idea what this means. But it is connected somehow to this.
He hands you what appears to be an un recrumpled worn piece of parchment. The parchment contains a diagram reading and showing a spherical like shape and lines shooting out, a sphere, fruits, man and fruit, fire, a dark obscured figure, then a line. A cold dead line.

The overall diagram seems to be describing the creation of all things; The Realm, Fruit, Man, and fire its inevitable end.

The dark obscured figure is one you and fellow scholars have read behind closed doors. This has never been known or shown to the masses, as this more tangaeble and more real like beast is more frightening. The prophecy fortells of a large humanoid creature rising from the ground and destruction following in its path. More recent discussions among the collaboration of the minds; priest, scholars, and archeologists, all believe it may be the creation of mankind.

ARG!! Just one away from that twenty! Sadness...

Once the Professor has had his opportunity to examine the paper I hold out my hand to take it from him. He hands it over and I hold it tightly with both hands and examine it with interest. I have seen these symbols before, or at least symbols very similar, in one of my religious texts. Even if my past studies don't match these exactly I believe I can recognize a sequence in here well enough to make a solid assumption as to what they mean.

"These... You see this is a pattern, almost like a simple story. It shows a progression that, from my past studies, leads me to believe that this describes the creation of all things. See there, that is the realm. Then it tells of fruit and man and then... Oh my..."

I look up in to the faces of my company and in a grave voice...

"...and then fire. It's inevitable end."

Male Human Alchemist(Rage Vivisectionist)/2

Thankfully, my companion takes the scripture from my grasp, unknowingly giving my soul ease. Only holding that was enough to make my spirit quiver.

"...and then fire. It's inevitable end."

My new friend, a holy man of some benevolent God, just said that... But surely this cannot be. At least not in any near time frame. No. "Father," my voice lacking it's usually grade, "You say this as if prophetical. Now I know next to nothing about the realms of Gods and their intentions, this I'll admit, but what I do know is we are capable of great and amazing things... Some may say we're able to rival the Gods themselves in the feats we can achieve! Now, theology and philosophy I'll leave as your expertise but let me assure you as a man who has studied our material Realm my whole life I can tell you that fire... Fire is nothing but heat, oxygen, fuel and a disruptable chain reaction caused by the three, hardly the end of the world." my face again feels flushed but this time it is with passion... Something greater than myself has goaded my ambition, Skyrapers do not allow that.
