Pre Cataclysm Map - Little Detail

Pre Cataclysm Map - Detail

Post Cataclysm Map - For Perspective ONLY

Map of Tarsis. Imagine the crater next to the city being filled with water. That entire stretch of land is all port. In addition, the wall running out into the water is also a man made port and the wall is a combination of wall and dock. The elven ship is at the very end.

Another Tarsis Map The Cathedral to Branchala is just to the northeast of the Central Plaza. It is not represented on the map but I wanted to give the group a sense for the city.

House Rules for Hero Points:

Hero Point Mechanics:

1) One permanent Hero Point may be used to avoid a final death scenario allowing a narrow cinematic escape,

2) One temporary Hero Point may be used if you are between -1 and -9 hit points to stabilize yourself to prevent further blood loss,

3) Temporary Hero Points may be expended to power Feats. These grant a lasting bonus for a one scene or one round duration depending on the feat description,

4) One temporary Hero Point grants a character a chance to supplement their d20 roll by 1d6 and add the result (whatever it was - no re-roll) to the d20 result,

Progression system:
Level 1-10 1d6,
Level 11-20 2d6,
Level 21-?? 3d6. and

5) No more than one Hero Point may be expended per round.

Optional rules mostly in the form of New Feats for Hero Points:

Arcane Surge (Prerequisites - Arcane Class) (Allows wielder to increase a spell DC by 3 for 1 round by expending a Hero Point),

Attune Item (Prerequisites - A Weapon of Legacy) (Allows wielder to expend one hero point to add +3 to attack and damage for the scene with chosen item),

Defensive Ward (Prerequisites - Dodge) (Allows wielder to expend one hero point to give yourself a +3 Luck bonus to AC for the scene),

Divine Surge (Prerequisites - Divine Class) (Allows wielder to increase a spell DC by 3 for 1 round by expending a Hero Point),

Heroic Feat (Prerequisites - None) (Any saving throw successfully made 10 points above an effects DC automatically allows the character to regain 1 used Hero Point),

Heroic Grace (Prerequisite - None) (Allows wielder to expend one hero point to add +1 to all saving throws or +3 to one saving throw for one scene),

Heroic Quickness (Prerequisites - Improved Initiative) (Allows wielder to expend one hero point to add +3 to Initiative checks),

Manifesting Surge (Prerequisites - Psionic Class) (Allows wielder to increase a powers save DC by 3 for 1 round by expending a Hero Point).

I always found him to be a neat god.

Oops. I forgot that. I need to switch to the rapier!

And we can act like we come
From out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance
Or sing

Safety Dance ala Turk

Is there anyway to add dice, even like a +1 or so, to a channel?

The best by far is VMC Cavalier (Order of the Star) that gives you +50% channeling dice. Though it does cost half your feats (but it also gives other bonuses).

I know you're not going oracle, but elven oracles (and half-elves) used to have this favored class bonus where you could increase the effectivness of a relevation by 1/2 level, which effectively gave you +50% channeling as well. It's been nerfed to 1/6 now though, which makes it useless. You could ask for a similar thing, I honestly don't think it's unreasonable, especially if you only plan to use it for healing. So say a favored class bonus that counts as 1/2 level higher for channeling?

Phylactry of positive healing is available to anyone.

There are a number of great channeling feats that bolsters it's effectiveness for healing. For example beacon of hope. Though none that bolster how much you heal afaik.

Shadow did say he allowed all 3rd party so I see no reason why he wouldn't allow that feat. I don't agree with Dorian that it's enough on it's own to make healing "viable", but it does make it better, which is a good thing in my book. Let me see if I can find some healing feats for you.

Celestial obedience for Lymnieris in normal pathfinder would increase your healing, usually more than the feat you posted, and give other boons as well. It would somewhat makes sense if you get those boons from Celstial Obedience as well as the Sarenrae boons from defic obedience (you said you wanted those earlier right)?

Would you eventually allow this feat, if chosen?

Augment Healing

( Complete Divine, p. 79)

[General]

Your Conjuration [Healing] spells are more effective.
Prerequisite
Heal 4 ranks,
Benefit
Add +2 points per spell level to the amount of damage healed by any Conjuration [Healing] spell that you cast. For example, a 1st-level cleric with this feat casting cure light wounds would restore 1d8+3 hp. An 8th-level cleric with the Healing domain and this feat casting cure moderate wounds would restore 2d8+13 hp (9 for his caster level including the +1 caster level bonus for the Healing domain, + 4 for the feat). A 13th-level druid casting heal would restore 144 hp (130 for her caster level + 14 for the feat, since heal is a 7th-level druid spell).

Sure.

I may not be the only healer, but a Druid is a great support/backup class.

Let's be honest, William, Druids kick butt!....lol!

(Although, not as much as little goblin rangers).

Hell yeah, and my archetype let's me use my wild shape to become a dragon later on. ... well sort of. You see, as a dragon shaman I use my wild shape as if 4 levels lower, except if I use it to be a reptile, lizard, or dragon. Then I have the totem transformation that allows me to semi-change into a dragon. Then, I can augment my summons with either the young, giant, and/or advanced templates to any lizard/dragon I summon.

In my table top game (3.5 DnD) last week the Druid assumed the form of a Bear and Grappled and Pinned a Maralith. If he did not do that I would have killed half the party. Druid's at high level are deadly.

Oh, and I start using wild shape at 6th level instead of 4th.

I'm not as adept with shapechanging, but i still can be a total game saver. "I sommon a lizard from the nature's ally 1, but apply both the advanced and Giant templates to make it SNA 3

I have a Shaman in my home game that focuses on SNA. Taking shapeshift hex next level...lol.

Are we waiting for any more people to complete crunch? You wanted to make selections before we develop things further, right? Why not make selections then we can figure out how the group got together, develop things further etc, while waiting for you to get the world in place?

I've posted fluff for Rin here and there in the thread, want me to make more of a writeup out of it?

I would be totally be ok with dropping the thug archtype from Rin if we want to be better able to deal with magical traps.

I have seriously considering doing just that Oyzar as interest beyond those listed above seems to have dropped off.

Unless anyone has any objections, how about I make selections tomorrow?

I will probably be writing up some backstory for Eldren. After all, regardless of what happens with the party and how they meet up and all that, there are stuff in his past that have happened and that have little to do with how the game begins exactly.

Gambit does appear to have not put up much in the way of a submission other than an initial character concept and plans about what classes he will be going for I think.

I played a Druid in a long time Eberron game and at one point he turned into a fly and did some reconnaissance through the catacombs of this tower (cos we didn't have a rogue) and went past a bunch of guards and in the next room was a demon. Can't remember which, possibly a Babau or a Vrock and cast Banishment and he failed his save and bam. Totally all on his own.
Also he made short work of a spellcasting Storm Giant by using Baleful Polymorph and turning him into a chicken and then he feel out of he sky and splat.
Druids are one of the best classes for sure.

I am cool with that.

I have had 3 games drop, so I have room...lol.

I am considering playing a caster druid for our weekly PFS game next season. Concentrate on summons. Going with either Air or Weather domain. I like the flavor of both.

Sounds good to me!

I am fine with that.

No problems here.

Sure.

That's good for me too ladies and gents.

Up with it.

There's one issue with becoming a fly: Flys are vermin not animals. So unless you have an archetype that lets you become a vermin, you slipped a good one past your DM.

As a Dragon Shaman, I would use my wild shape 4 levels lower(save for with reptiles) so becoming a gecko is my best choice for recognizance

"Hey, if you need someone to check what's up ahead, I could totally do that. People don't usually see me if I don't want them to. And why would I want our enemies to see me? I imagine it's similar for non-people things too." Rin says cheerily before turning to saunter off stealthily.

Oh?! Well then me and my GM didn't catch that one haha. It made for a great session though. :)

Also being able to turn into a geko is great.

I am looking forward to fleshing her out.

"Today's the day!" Red says as he stands on the deck of the ship. As much as he loves the sea and had enjoyed the trip, it was a long one, even for him. Land came in to sight and with it the promise of a second chance and the possibilities of finally finding the honour he so craved. Not just for him but for his family. To show what he's made of.he rubbed his fists, the wrappings around his knuckles and wrists already frayed from use.

"I wonder what interesting people I will meet today." Rin said out loud to herself as she literally danced into the city, through the city gates. Her limber body made beautiful pirouettes and impressive tumbles as she moved about while pretty much everyone else were just walking. But such is the way of the Kender, they find joy and happiness where seemingly none is to be found.

This question is only relevant if I actually do make it in as I'm certainly not picking it up before 3rd level at the earliest: I know Terevalis wanted Sarenrae's boons for Miskhal, but can I apply Shelyn's boons to her instead? It shouldn't be a problem that we get different booms as long as they are fitting, right? In Golarion following the goddess of song, dance, art and beauty would be perfect for Rin, but I don't know if there is an equivalent in Dragonlance. As the goddess of Love, I figure Miskhal is close enough to Shelyn anyway. Edit: Branchala might be more fitting.

I should think Branchala would indeed be more fitting.

As it turns out, there was only 1 submission that did not make it as a number of other submission were left incomplete. I sent a PM to that player. Everyone else can report to the Discussion thread and we will begin to finalize the characters including background.

If a Kender Rogue seems an odd choice for a Martial do not worry, you will be pleasantly surprised to see her in action... :-)

Over the course of the week I will begin filling in the Campaign Info Tab with information pertaining to this Age in Krynn that your characters would generally know.

Agreed.

Whoop whoop! Glad to have the support in the front lines Rin. And thanks for including Red-Ohn.

This should be fun

WooHoo, Krynn!

I shall remain humble. *bows deeply*
