Rameth the Delver |
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
Dwalindor sizes up the woman before responding.
"Alright, we alternate drinks...yers then mine. First one to stop loses. Albus? Is that you, bud? Are you in on this or gonna be our judge? "
Not sure how games work...fort save vs poison or con checks or whatever?.
DMummy |
I actually found rules on drinking as a community creation on the pfsrd here.
We'll follow those rules, you can slam one drink per six points of Con per hour without effect. After that is exceeded, make a Fort Check - if you're drinking Pahmet stout DC 15, if Osiriani beer DC 10. Because of format contraints, feel free to roll multiple times in your first post instead of trading rolls like you would at a table.
Mesdoram |
His eyes glitter at the thought of all that gold piled in front of him.
Cost is 200gp for the funnel, 40 for each level 2 extract (which off the top of my head I'm presuming is the same cost as for a spell purchased).
But no, I don't need the spellbooks. Plus you might want to give Albus a shot at them before selling them.
He thinks for a moment.
But I know someone who might buy them. Have you ever heard of a merchant named Ibrahim?
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth passes over the gold.
yes I sure do know about him. Don't trust him, but so far he hasn't cheated us. Know anything about him? I think as long as he has a benefit he is moderately trustworthy.
"Angel Eyes" Albus |
Judge? Me?!
Ppphhffff! I am in!
We can just fast forward it to the next morning if you guys prefer and just roll a couple of fort checks to see who got the bigger hangover, ops, I meant who won.
Albus down the drinks one after the other struggling to keep up with his dwarven companion until the surroundings blurry in a purple haze.

Just that he's rich and seems to be the oldest living person in Wati. I've never met anyone who can remember a time when he wasn't in the city doing something.
He thinks for a moment.
I've never had any problems with him mind you, but I wouldn't try anything around him, he's pretty shifty.
Said the pirate.
DMummy |
Kayley thinks about it for a second and then decides.
My folks have a dog breeding farm in Andoran. I'm going to take my portion back and head back and help expand the farm. I always wanted to breed work dogs, but my family mainly does riding dogs for other halflings.
It's pretty famous, Golden Bough Farms?

Both Dwalindor and Audia manage to stay conscious! I'm impressed.
You wake up the next morning to find Albus contentedly snoring on the table downstairs, his hand wrapped around a mug still.
Many of the other adventurers are passed out, having been challenged by Audia and Dwalindor to a winner-take-all drinking competition.
Dwalindor is sleeping in a chair, hieroglyphs having been placed on his face that spell out the phrase "Kiss me, I'm a Gnome!"
A small pile of 3d100 ⇒ (3, 45, 43) = 91 gold coins is piled on the table in front of Audia and Dwalindor, untouched.
Tobbs is busy sleeping stretched out on the bar with Calin snoring contentedly beside him.
Meanwhile the Maze Minder's royal charter is sitting out with Audia's name scribbled at the the bottom where members are listed, with a new seal attesting the addition has been made official by the Grand Mausoleum.
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
Dwalindor stirs to consciousness with a belch.
"Hah. I see the winnings are here. Good show Audia. You impressed me and did yer god proud.."
As he gets up and walks to the bar
Perc : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13
He sees the writing on his face in the bar mirror and scowls as he wipes it off with a dirty sleeve.
"blasted graffiti everywhere these days."
Rameth the Delver |
I haven't caught him in anything dishonest, but I suspect there is something less than honest going on with him, for sure. But as long as he pays me I don't mind.
He takes a seat and starts copying, occasionally asking questions.
Well nice doing business with you Mesodram. Keep an eye out for those Boro beads, and I will pop in with useful nicknacks we find.
Mesdoram |
Mesdoram snorts.
I'm happy to keep an eye out but I'm selling, not buying - I have no intention of living the rest of my life in this backwater. Smooth sailing friend.
Calin Tinderfoot |
Calin wakes up with a big yawn.
"That was one hell of a night. The last thing that I remember was drinking that halfling wine with Kayley and trying to ride a drunk Tobbs back to the inn."
Calin looks around to make sure he's at the correct inn.
"Well, I guess we made it back."
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
Dwalindor replies back to Audia.
"Dwalindor's what they call me. I got tired of guarding temples and seeing them Pathfinder ilk running off with all our historic treasures. How did you get into this line of work. "
Calin Tinderfoot |
"I'm not sure what we've got planned for today. We've got about a week until the auction where we can sell our items from the tomb."
"We could look into the guys that are trying to strong arm the weaker parties out of their earnings. Let's see if Rameth has any ideas when he gets back."
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
"That sounds good, Calin. If I sit around here too long drinking, I will get into trouble. "
The dwarf nods as he tries to gather himself into a semblance of order.
"Gonna grab some breakfast and coffee and then we can check it out.... "
Rameth the Delver |
not sure what we can do...other than kill time. Is this bandit thing, a lead that we can follow?
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth doesn't care, unless someone approaches him to do something about it. Otherwise he is good to go.
DMummy |
Lacking any objection then, we're assuming the week is over.
You arrive at the Canny Jackal, one of the premiere auction houses in the city of Wati.
A small group of musicians play in the corner of the main hall while the guests, mostly wealthy buyers with a few other adventurers that you don't know.
Various delicacies are being served including cheese-stuffed figs, hard-boiled peacock eggs, onion bread, onion-stuffed squid, fresh and dried fruit, spiced win and what one of the servers informs you is a sampling of 2000 year old honey recovered from one of the tombs.
The auctions begins an hour after sunset so you have the chance to talk amongst the guests.
You can talk to the guests about your various wares, including an attempt to increase the value of your sales. Bluff or Diplomacy checks can help increase the amount they sell for if they're interested in a specific lot. You cna use Diplomacy to determine who is interested in what.
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
"Rameth, negotiations and diplomacy wasnt exactly on my resume when i signed pn with this band. The less i say usually works better. ."
Dwalindor will scowl at any passerby.
Rameth the Delver |
can I use SM and perception to figure any of that out? Knowledge local maybe to gather some info? Otherwise I will be sitting on my hands
Diplomacy? I thought that was the name of your hammer.
Dwalindor the Pahmet |
"Hah, no. This here is Lucy." he pats the head of the lucern hammer with a grin.
Rameth the Delver |
Well lets find Calin, maybe he can talk up some of our finds.
Rameth heads off to find Calin
Calin, see if you can talk up our finds, maybe get a little more cash.
Rameth the Delver |
oh i figured the newbies weren't involved.
Ok Audia. Got your first task. All these people about want to buy crap. We found crap. I need you to up the value of said crap. Got it?
Local: 1d20 + 8 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 8 + (5) = 21
Percep: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28
With that Rameth moves off and begins to snoop, Trip chases at his heels, Rameth occasionally tosses down a piece of jerky
Rameth will also make some flasks of acid during the week, if anyone wants him to make a flask or something like that let me know and you can get it at 1/3 cost
DMummy |
You recognize a few notables of the city.
Baketra, a notorious aristocrat famed widely for her fabulous parties, is extolling the quality of the honey. She seems to be here to purchase spirits or foodstuffs that have survived, or rare artwork to use as a decoration for her palatial dining room.
Maru Meshhoten and Namaru Meshoten are two noblewomen trying to collect jewelry, clothing or "scandalous" books and scrolls.
You also see Khammayid Okhenti, a well known wastrel who collects fine weapons to impress his family.
You also hear a few rumors.
Rumor: 1d6 ⇒ 51d6 ⇒ 3
Two auction goers are gossiping with each other near a restored war chariot.
Did you know that mumia can protect you against mummy rot? I’d never take the stuff myself—it’s made from actual mummies, you know, not to mention illegal—but I’m sure some of those adventuring types in the city these days don’t have such scruples.
Another group are gossiping near a collection of grave goods.
It’s absolutely dreadful the way the church is opening our history to so many foreigners. I hear Haty-a Oshep Kahmed is going to increase taxes on travelers from beyond the sister cities to recoup the cultural damage.
Rameth the Delver |
Rameth returns and tells Audia
AlrightBeketra, wants foodstuffs and art, perhaps extoll the virtues of the portrait we picked up, and all the serving trays and chalices and the like. We also have a vial of ____ listed on the sheet as "stuff" but worth a lot of money
There are also two noblewomen, Maru and Namaru, they are looking for jewelry, clothing and books and scrolls. We have a dress, several pieces of jewlery,a pendant and some holy symbols. Maybe drop the idea that the holy symbols used to be worn like jewelry back in the day. Whatever.
Finally Khammayid, is seeking weapons. We have a very well made scimitar, longbow, quarterstaff, and an ornamental silver dagger. Very impressive, with luck you can get him to bid more.
He slaps her on the shoulder and sends her off to work her magic.
Calin Tinderfoot |
"I'm certainly glad that Dwalindor is stout enough to hang with a cleric of Cayden Cailean. Without him getting her drunk enough to sign on we'd have a heck of a time negotiating."
"I can't negotiate well enough to get signed onto a slave ship, much less negotiate prices of artifacts."
"I'll do a bit of eavesdropping myself and see if I pick anything up."
perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
"Angel Eyes" Albus |
I am a natural born negotiator... as long as we break the other part's legs in the process. Albus says trying to be helpful. Not sensing much appreciation for his idea the magus shrugs his shoulders and proceeds to walk the room eversdropping while trying to mingle.

Dwalindor the Pahmet |
"I can help ya with that, Albus. Good ta have ya back!"
Audia |
Audia approaches the noblewomen Maru and Namaru.
Wow, those are the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen. I have the perfect accessories for them. These are vintage holy symbols of Nethys. They are the newest style coming on and they will look great on you.
