I have a completly vain and meaninless question but its bugging me fiercely and I would greatly appreciate any help. Albus name is about to get locked, which one is better:

Edit: Ah, negative traits. I am going to say no to those at the moment, but like all fickle DM's I reserve the right to change my mind at any point.

I appreciate the idea of having a third trait but I'd rather keep that option in my pocket as a reward for the group than give a player a negative trait I have to keep track of.

Sorry about the entryway tedium guys, I was a little annoyed to see all the dungeon crawling in the first AP - after the tomb we should get to a good spot for RP opportunities.

I picked up Chapter 2 today so I'll look over that, if we get much more of the straight crawl I'll work on jazzing it up.

I gave sumac an alch fire, I took one and I am putting the pitons and hammer in my pack as well since I am sure we don't want to sell those, but in the future we can all put loot here

Sorry everybody, Fridays and Saturdays are hard for me to post a lot. I have both my kids all day because my wife works 12 hour shifts.


I did not think I would get to post at all this weekend. We went to a dinosaur museum and then hit heavy traffic coming home. Yesterday a circuit kept tripping and taking my wireless connection out every 20 minutes or so.

I don't mean to seem capricious, but please try not to take 10 and 20 on all your rolls.

Going forward, if you do want to take 20 on a skill check please tell me exactly what you want to take 20 on (e.g. Perception on the chariot, disable the spear trap) and I'll give you results from there.

I don't want to take away a tool in your arsenal, but for comparison imagine how boring the opening of Raiders of the Lost Ark would have been if you'd been watching Indiana Jones take 10 minutes every three feet to check for booby traps, or he'd gotten out a ruler and notebook to exactly measure the volume of the statue and pulled out a scale to weigh the exact amount of sand to avoid triggering the collapse of the temple!

Thanks. I hate to nag (and really there are times it makes no sense to roll, like climbing down a DC 5 rope) but failed rolls are some of the fun of the DM :)

Azubah you could also set up rules for the reroll

IE any time a baddie rolls a 17 + on a save or a n attack

I have also seem people use the misfortune revelation in pbps like this, have the oracle do the d20 reroll in the same post he uses the revelation. Then the DM or player uses this roll insted of the original one. It keeps the back and forward to a minimum.


That sounds reasonable.

Looking back, I probably would have taken something else. C'est la vie.

Unlimited rerolls per day, can be used in friend or foe, its a great revelation. One of the bests, if not the best, the oracle has.

Hey guys, sorry about my absence, I had a relative go into the hospital over the weekend. As a thank you for your patience you all get an extra bonus feat at second level (it's coming soon, promise).

You still have to qualify for the feat normally however!

I think it depends on you (as do many MMO's) - I happen to think it's very good so far, but the telegraphs can be a bit off-putting as you're getting used to them.

It also helps to play up to about level 20 to get a flavor of how the classes are different from each other, some of them play pretty similarly in the beginning.

so i forgot that i got trap finding and can disarm magic traps as an investigator and have basically not had my campaign trait because i did not have the bonus.

Also I have a question to the DM and the party. We are down to 4 players, usually I prefer bigger groups. How do you guys feel about it? Should we recruit one more or 4 is fine?
