In the end it's Kirk's shield bash that does the decisive amount of damage. With a growl that reminds you of frustration, the chaos beast dies...As you turn to the door, which is partly splintered already, you realize that you have only seconds left until the Yog Sothoth will enter - however, the death of Crove has taken its toll, the thing must be smaller and weaker than before.

In the moments before the door crashes open, Solaric pulls out his pendant which hangs around his neck and uses it to cast Bless upon the party.

This gives Solaric and his allies a +1 Morale bonus on all attack rolls.

"Iomedae, Bless and guide us that we may smite this great evil that comes before us! Encourage our hearts and strengthen our resolve! Let us take down the fiend that knocks on this door! I ask this in your name! Let it be so!"

Solaric also lays hands upon himself to cure a few more wounds on his ailing body.

Pitr has managed to keep himself together physically, but you wonder about his mind as he whiteknuckles his sword and just giggles at Solaric's query.


As the door is finally opened you feel like you were hit by a flood of icy water, the creature you are facing is the most horrible thing you've ever seen. But then, after you have gotten one glimpse of it, it turns invisible! The sounds emanated by the creature are strange - shocking and alluring at once and it seems like they consist of hundreds of individual sounds and besides moaning and cursing, you hear birds' songs, the rolling of an ocean wave, the rustling of leaves, the wind on a mountaintop and the giggling of a baby.

Taking the size of the monster and the interior into consideration, this covers the maximum area - at least one quarter of the monster touched...

As Pitr rushes over to the Yog-Sothoth spawn, the monster attacks him with all its ferocity and several tentacles as well as with its bite.

Pitr's last attack beheads the ugly monster! As the monster's grinning grotesque face flies through the room, the body of the Yog Sothoth is reduced to a stinking mass of black slime covered with a prismatic surface. Slowly the thick fluid begins to form a large puddle, before it sinks into the ground.

Still looking slightly unhinged, Pitr just snickers as he stares at the mess. "Gods had nothing to do with that."
