Game Master Zyrenity

An epic search for the Amethyst heptagon leads a party of fresh graduates through the northern reaches of Ustalav. Based in Karcau, the party visits places like the dark Castle Jarovich or the dangerous alleys of Carrion Hill.

Zahur, Pitr and Solaric use their swords against the zombie horde like a farmer uses his scythe in field of grain, arms, legs, heads fly everywhere and at last a flash of light blasts the zombies at the front row to shreds! After a moment of silence only three small tattered creatures remain.

The guards cheer and the second light blast at the rear damages the other group of attackers further, it seems like Desna has chosen her side.

But the remaining zombies are still athreat and so the little monsters charge the fighters at the front line

and while most of their attacks are just miserable, one is able to smash the skull of one of the guards.

The zombies in the back press onward and attack the rest of the party

but they don't fare much better and Ricca kills one of them with an arrow through the neck.

Jarovich just runs towards you, his eyes burning with an unearthly fire.

Jarovich smashes his fist into the palm of his other hand and suddenly Zahur begins to convulse.

The garundi lets out an anguished cry of pain, and seems to slump further into his saddle from the weight of his equipment and armour.

With determined resolve he keeps swinging his sword and urges on his mount.
Fight on! Don't let this demon spawned despot win!

As his blade cleaves throught the mass of flesh and bones in front of him he has Night attack the one in front of the militia man.

I Think so. +3bab + 1MW + 1heirloom weapon + 1str + 1 bless + 1 higher ground. But you can take off 2 from the damage, it should only be + 1. I was mixing it up with an another character who has 20str so I made my calcs on 14 str for dmg


Ouch, quite a blow! Did you include the -6 STR in your attack because of being exhausted?

After Pitr's devastating blow, the guards rush to his side to help him kill the necromancer, yet only one of them scores a minor hit uhoh

Zahur and Night have no problems dispatching two other zombies and the former overcrowded frontline of Jarovich's minion now only consists of one single kobold zombie who slashes at Solaric

It looks differently at the other end where Victoria is attacked by a stinking orc zombie

He steps to the side of the zombie he's next to (5 foot step to J40) and attacks with dagger and sword, crying to Victoria as she leaves, "I'll hold our flank, make sure Jarovich doesn't get away!"

Where is the captain? Has he fallen in battle? No!!! Dear Inheritor, by your light, let the man live so that he may redeem himself for his fallen ways!

Where is the captain's body located? Is there any chance that he is simply unconscious?

With renewed vigor, Zahur drops his greatsword to Nights side while he urges her on at full gallop towards Jarovich while he couches his lance for the hopeful impact.

You can spot the captain's body I also put him on the map again yet you are unable to discern wether he lives or not.

He crosses his arms in front of his chest and casts a group of magic missiles aimed at Zahur.

He approaches carefully from the side, trying to avoid any attacks of opportunity that may come from the zombies.

Then, Kirk sees Pitr fall to the Count's magic and grimaces with anger. Zombie blood spots his face and chest and drives him even crazier with blood lust. "GET BACK OVER THERE AND KILL THAT SON OF A B+!*%!" he screams in his fury at Solaric as he's bending over the captain.

Round 8 was my stabilize attempt. I wouldn't be conscous until the end of the round anyway so I'm resolved. I'll go after Basilli's channel on Round 9 either way.

As the nacromancer turns round, most the blows just slash through the air, only one of the guards waits a moment longer and strikes exactly at the right moment, his sword breaks through the ribcage of Jarovich and sinks deeply into his heart, that another strike hits his tigh is already unimportant.

The cloaked man stumbles and falls on his face, for a heartbeat only the sound of the wind is audible, then the zombies at the tower crumble with the magic of their master ebbing away.

Ricca eyes the body incredulously

I can't believe it, that was all? He's dead? No flashes, no lightning, no nothing?

And as if her words were heard by some cruel god on a distant plane, suddenly a blast of crystal shrapnells pierces through the guards and everything close the necromancer's body. His clothes are torn to rags and a strange metallic vest is now visible that looks like it held the shrapnells in small cells. Very slowly Jarovich gets back to his feet

Kirk pauses to catch his breath a moment when the zombies crumbled away, but at the sight and sounds of Jarovich's explosion, he takes off running towards the rest of his companions (double move to J28).

With a move x3 he will reach I16 with move to spare this round. As a swift action, he will smite evil on Count Jarovich.

Pitr feels reinvigorated by Basilli's blessing and staggers to his feet as Jarovich...detonates? Gripping his blade Savant firmly he advances toward the strange Count pinning him between the building and the blade.
Round 9. hp 12. stand and move to I15


Just waiting for Zahur, I don't want him to fall two rounds behind.

Rd 8: Zahur drinks a potion to mend some of his wounds. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 and moves to H22

Rd 9: After receiving the Countess' healing he spurs Night onwards for another charge through the count and ends his movement at H8, Ride by attack doesn't provoke an AOO.

Damage:2d8 + 2 ⇒ (7, 2) + 2 = 11


Zahur's powerful ride by attack leaves the Count again at the brink of death.

Ricca fires another arrow at him but misses and so she loudly curses her bad luck.

Jarovich, pinned between the building and Pitr sees his only option in casting one last devastating spell. A small ball of fire begins to grow in his hands as his enemies in melee have a last opportunity to attack him.

Victoria calls something soft and unearthly to the Count...

Hex :Slumber (Su), DC14:
A witch can cause a creature within 30 feet to fall into a deep, magical sleep, as per the spell sleep. The creature receives a Will save to negate the effect. If the save fails, the creature falls asleep for a number of rounds equal to the witch’s level. This hex can affect a creature of any HD. The creature will not wake due to noise or light, but others can rouse it with a standard action. This hex ends immediately if the creature takes damage. Whether or not the save is successful, a creature cannot be the target of this hex again for 1 day.

Upon seeing the flaming sphere form in the necromancer's hands, Solaric seizes the opportunity with a mighty blow with his longsword, and stabs Count Jarovich in his heart!


Wow, that was quite a blow...no fireball mass kill then, huh?

Jarovich tries to fend off the sword with his bare hands, but besides losing some fingers, this has no effect on Solaric's blow.

Blood runs over his lips and coughing heavily he slumps down to the ground.

He reamains still this time...it seems like now it's really over.

Exhausted Ricca seats herself on a pile of log, looking up to the castle she comments
