Kyren tried to stop the goblin immediately after the first shot was fired. My role play was assuming that he was able to stop the goblin from causing much damage. If the priestess is bleeding to death, I hope you know that he would be acting differently and seeking aid as fast as possible.

She wasn't really our contact, she was an annoying lady we ran into on the way to somewhere cooler ;p


I included 3 shots, but if someone intercedes after the first shot, or bats his hand to stop the first shot from landing, that works for me. He is easily directed to other activities than shooting those that don't pay him and just talktalktalktalk and call him "thing" : ) This might be why we don't give guns to 6 year olds.

OK, I'm having a great deal of difficulty with this situation!! Once again I'm struggling to find a reason Vaughn wouldn't punt Jinx. I do *not* see what Jinx did as anything akin to Al's actions (and I won't elaborate unless asked).

I'm going to be honest. Jinx, you are coming across to me like you are specifically trying to sabotage the adventure for attention. I said earlier that I don't want to dictate how someone else plays, but now it feels to my egocentrism that you're specifically trying to goad me into doing just that (I'm sure that's not the case, but it FEELS like that).

Call me old-fashioned, I prefer my gaming to be fun. This situation is not fun.

OK well I suppose one way or another that sort of resolved, so will leave it at that and continue on

Alcheringa steps through after the shots are fired his curative magics already forming on his hand as he approaches the woman to determine her state. "The Jungle Law is the Jungle Law, but we need information of great importance to a great number of peoples. She has the knowledge of how we can get to the place where the Magic Mojo Paper is held that has some power, although I cannot explain it, but has power to them - so she must be alive. The Necromancer died under Jungle Law, for we are not in the territory of the People where their laws and peace must be respected, but we are instead in the mothers womb where the Peoples rules do not follow. This is the place of return, wehere the bodies are placed to be reabsorbed in the great circle, as is right, and the Necromancer had come here and stolen those bodies, robbing the Mother of her due, and stealing away bodies that the former owners had returned in good faith. I have also yet to have a Necromancer honour any agreement whatsoever, and all of the ones I have met turned and tried to kill me after gaining the upper hand - no reason for doing so other than their malicious ways.... if they are so disrespectful of the Dead and the Mother, it is no surprise they have no regard for the living either... suffer them not to live in the wild... let them dwell only in their natural habitat of the lands above in Kaer Maga"


...great...since we never allowed someone to stop a series of attacks, we won't do it this time.

Frozen in shock, the priestess does not react at all as Jinx raises Floyd and pulls the trigger. Hit hard three times, she whirls around and is dead before her body hits the floor...quickly a puudle of blood begins to spread under her - all your tries to rescue her are futile and you will have to explain that to the clergy of Pharasma...

"Now you've done it, you wretched little goblin! She was our contact that we needed to aid the clergy of Pharasma. With this contact dead, we are going to have a lot of explaining to do! Let me tell you that this is not the behavior we expect of a Wee Bluet! In fact that is more like the behavior of our rival clan, the Wee Letemhaveits!"

Distressed at this turn of events, Kyren turns to his companions and asks, "Now what do we do? I hate the thought of trying to explain this to the priests of Pharasma. We must find the Andoran Bill of Freedom, but before we can do that, we need to simply find the Bazaar of Secrets. Do any of you have any ideas? I wonder if there is some great spell that will lead us to the hidden market?"

"There's another clan? The Wee Letemhaveits? Are they to fighting what your clan is to cooking!?"

"She must have friends nearby, surely she wasn't here exploring alone" Al starts tyding up the body and readying it to be moved.

"Why don't we just tear the goblin limb from limb. Oh wait, he didn't try and raise her from the dead. He just killed an innocent person." Says Berry not quite in the here and now.

"He didn't shoot at us, strangely he tried saving the undead though...maybe they were in league" Alchy doesn't break from wrapping up the body. "Maybe the rest of her Paharasma cult can work a mojo to heal her, but reckon we'd need to hurry."

"If you think we can save her, then let's carry her along and bring her to the Pharasmians. If anybody can help her, they can! I will do my best to put this in a positive light, but I will need some time to think about how I am going to phrase this.

Well, you wouldn't believe what happened. It was the most interesting thing. This little goblin came up holding in his hand a big boom boom stick just as we were about to visit with her and suddenly . . . kaboom, it accidentally misfired. Hmm? I wonder if those things ever do misfire."

"Please be my guest, Alchy. You have a nice way with words, especially when little goblins blow up our contacts. Come along, then. Let's find these priests.

Kyren urges the party onward to find the priests of Pharasma.


You leave the tomb and after a short odyssey through the guts of Kaer Maga, you reach a marble stairwell leading up. Statues of veiled women with scythes in their hands line stand to either side of the stair's foot.

"This looks like the place. Alchy, do you have the poor priestess? I am happy to introduce you when the time comes, but if you could be sure to sweet talk them as best you can when you tell them the part that it was not our fault."


You ascend the stairs and after about 100 steps you reach a marble portal with an engraved mansized hourglass on it.

I was wondering if a decision had been made about the goblin. Kyren is not inclined to put him to his death, but he would leave that decision up to the rest of you.

Kyren inspects the marble portal and casts detect magic upon it to see if it reveals any magical auras. "Abraka kadabra, let the magic be known."

I took it that the Goblin scarpered. Alchy's attitude is taht he doesn't really know the Pharasmite, he doesn't really know the Goblin, and so two people he doesn't really know getting into an argument and one killing the other is a bit outside his 'circle'. If a party member (his pack!) was threatened though, there'd be bloodshed. Or if there was a Nekkymanker involved... but this just seems to be the Jungle being the Jungle.


I also assumed you let him go and he strolled off to get eaten by an umber hulk...;)

You feel the presence of certain magic wards, but they are not active. You have seen such wards before and you guess these ones are aonly activated when the chambers lying beyond are closed for public traffic. Since this seems to be some kind of temple shrine, you think it is open for visitors now.

"Ok, lady, gent and tigers, I think we are about to enter Pharasma's inner sanctum of holiness. Follow me and be sure not to drop the priestess as you walk through these hallways."

Kyren walks confidently in front, looking for the priest whom he spoke with before they entered the tomb.

Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (12) + 8 = 20

Turning to Alcheringa, Kyren says, "I will give you an introduction once we get there, but I hope you have thought about what you are going to say. I can't wait to hear this one!"

"Same things I normally say..." Alcheringa looks at Kyren as though it should be obvious what he's going to say... something short on Diplomacy as one would normally call it, but high on fact and wisdom.


Behind the portal lies a vast antechamber, the walls are made of greyish white marble and in every corner of the room stands a large statue of Pharasma showing her either as the Grim Reaper, the Watcher of the Hourglass, the Angel of Death or the Sad Old Woman.

Once all of you have entered, a second portal at the far side of the room is opened and a lean old man wearing the wide grey garments of the Pharasmian clergy enters.

"Well met, my good sir. I, Kyren Tosscobble, have returned with the Wee Bluets and I am proud to announce that I have good news and bad news for you. The good news is that we have destroyed the necromancer who has been stealing corpses out of the tomb. He was using them for personal gain and we have put a stop to those actions. The bad news is a rather unfortunate event that our great druid would like to explain to you. May I present to you the great Alcheringa!"

With a sweep of his hand he introduces Alchy.

Diplomacy 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (11) + 16 = 27


The priest looks at the body, and even though their is a hint of sadness in his eyes, he just says

"We met your Sister here in the crypts, her concern was that someone had been stealing the bodies from their rightful resting place, a crime by your traditions, and a theft of goods from the Green, so in this our purposes were one. We fellows were seeking out a different purpose though, that of the here-life, and to this end we sought a hidden place that she offered to reveal to us if we helped with her search for justice."

"The thief of dignity and despoiler of payments was indeed found, a Half-Orc Necromancer, and for his actions he was punished. He was one stealing bodies, taking the food from the mouth of the Mother. In the wilds, taking food from another living being can be a death sentence for the one being robbed - stravation is an ever present danger... so a food-thief needs to be judged and dealt with accordingly. He was a jackal, a hyena, a thief and a bottom dweller. So he was killed"

"The truth is that these tunnels and crypts are just another form of Jungle, albeit one of stone, and in the Jungle you are always to be wary lest you be beset by predators or even worse, that you rest your head on a welcoming log only to be killed by a strange mold. In this case, your Pharasmite Sister did not spot a lethal creature, confusing it perhaps for a mostly harmless being... like how even a beautiful fish might have unseen stingers laced with poison. When she forgot about where she was and began arguing with this creature, well thats when she learnt the hard way that the Jungle is unforgiving and harsh, and that one should be ever vigilant when dealing with something abnormal. She was killed by a Goblin, arguing with something that stupid and that volatile was very unwise and reckless of her."

"I am sorry for your loss. If she acted as your agent, we would like our payment still. We need to know how to get to this hidden place, and we need to get there very soon"


You speak profoundly of philosophical matters - I understand that you and your friends are no mere mercenaries then. The fact that you are looking for the "hidden place" the Bazaar of Secrets I assume, underlines my first assumption. The death of one of our pristesses is always a moment of combined woe and joyfulness. Her soul returns into the arms of the mother and her body will be embalmed by us...It is good news and a matter of great relief for us that you put an end to the army of alchemical zombies...they would have threatened us very soon...now, what are your names, if I am allowed to ask?

"I am Alcheringa. Kyren you have already met. My other pack mates are Berry, Blaze, and Vaughn..." Alcheringa gestures to each in turn "and we are no mercenaries. We are Wee Bluets... although few of us are still Wee anymore"


Wee Bluets? The ways of fate are never to be questioned. the priest nods and while you still wonder what he meant, he calls two other members of the Pharasmian clergy who take the dead priestess from you and bring her into the temple proper.

Now, may I ask you why you search the Bazaar of Secrets?

However, it was stolen from its rightful owner, and we wish to retrieve it before it is sold. Do you know of any auction house in the Bazaar of Secrets?"

"Oh, I see. You mean the question about the relationship between the item we seek and the realm of undeath." Kyren pauses for a moment as he weighs the decision on how much to say. Finally, he adds, "Well, if you must know, the item that we search for is the Andoran Bill of Freedom, which is an original document and states the principles on which their democracy is based. Obviously it is of great value to the the people of Andoran and those who celebrate freedom of any kind. But not only that, the Andorans, the Wee Bluets, and many others who celebrate freedom clearly do not like undeath in any shape or form! After all, what is the point of freedom if you are not alive to enjoy it! Without doubt, the connection between the two is very strong. And as you can see, it is very strong in us. We love freedom and we hate undead of any sort, especially those undead who do not like freedom! Don't we, Master Eliot?"

"Now with all due respect sir, in your great wisdom, you kindly offered to show us where the Bazaar of Secrets was located if we were to solve this little problem you had with the corpses being taken out of the tomb. Now that we have destroyed the necromancer, your problems are now solved. In all fairness and for the benefit of all your followers, I respectfully ask that you promptly guide us to the Bazaar of Secrets."
