I won't lie that I am interested but I have become quite prolific suddenly in games. Now they mostly seem to be of a slower pace and I have a pretty wide posting window so depending on pace I am not overly concerned about that part.
That said if there are others here in our group that might want in I certainly think I should be last on the list. *shrug* Whatever works best.
An a somewhat-related note, I'm really considering joining a Skull & Shackles AP as an Aquatic Druid, as it seems like the sort of archetype that would get very little play otherwise.
Not sure how much sense it makes for an aquatic druid to ultimately shoot for being a pirate though. Being shanghaied onto the ship in the first adventure is easy enough, but I suppose I'll need to wait to see the player's guide and such before really ironing it out.
A question I'd have in relation to the archetypes abilities would be what qualifies as an "aquatic" environment. I mean, water obviously, but what kind of environment would a ship in the middle of the open ocean qualify as?
It would work..I'm going with a straight up swashbuckling rogue for my character though I did consider a Marid Bloodline Sorcerer.
Hmm on second thoughts a Sylph Sorcerer with the Djinni Bloodline would rock in the later stages..because if you can control the winds you win in naval warfare
Kinda what I was thinking with an Aquatic Druid, too. Ability to control weather and water would be awesome. The wood-bending spells also makes it inordinately easy to put a hole in an enemy vessel should scuttling the ship be the desired result.
Biggest thing I'm struggling with at the moment is just trying to figure out an adequate backstory. Granted, being shanghaied onto a pirate ship is reason enough to start the adventure, but I wonder what would make a druid WANT to remain in such a setting.
I was initially thinking an Undine Aquatic Druid, but that would be a complete waste of the "Natural Swimmer" ability, so I'm not sure what I'd go with now. I'd rather not switch to the Undine version of your Sylph sorcerer, since many of the weather-controlling spells are exclusive to the Druid.
Today, Nov. 11, is "Veteran's Day" here in the U.S.. The day we honor our military veterans for their service. This is a poem written by my 5 year old niece. She got to read it in front of her entire elementary school at their presentation this morning. I didn't get to see it, I had to work. :(
"Veterans are brave
Veterans are strong.
They are like knights
they fight against wrong.
Grandpa was in Vietnam
Uncle Scott in Desert Storm.
They are in my heart.
They proudly wore their uniform."
Just a heads up guys I'll be away from my computer from Friday till Sunday as I will be in London attending Dragonmeet on Saturday (for PFS games) and need the days either side for travel.
I'm sorry guys, but I think I'm going to have to retire Tavlor. I love the game, and this is a great group, but I do not have the time and energy to keep up with things. I don't want to try and continue half-heartedly. Thanks for the good times.
I echo the sentiments of the others. I'm sorry to see you go, Halplm! I've had a great time RPing with you and I hope that you'll be able to come back to us someday.
If you want to keep Tavlor around in an NPC role, things might settle down in a couple of months and I'll want to get back into it. I just can't make any promises. Tavlor is one of my favorites :).

So in February Paizo should be releasing Skull and Shackles the new AP about pirates. I love me some pirates so I most likely will have to try to play that AP but I think I will probably run it here on the boards too. Rather than do an open recruitment my intention is to limit the field to the players that I currently play with and see if I can cobble together a group from folks that I already know I enjoy playing with.
Anyway, there is some time yet but I wanted to let you know and you can get back to me if you think you might be interested. Ahoy!
I'm definitely interested, Zal! I've been kinda chomping at the bit waiting for Skull and Shackles to release. It sounds like a very fun AP to be part of! I've been mulling over character ideas for several weeks now and have sort of settled down to a couple or three different ideas, with my favorite so far being an Undine Storm Druid from Sargava.

Sir, I would love to play Skull and Shackles. I've already been bouncing around ideas, but so far I think I'm liking the idea of a Human Gunslinger from Andoran who's a member of the Twilight Talons.

Yeah I have to wait and see what the lay of the land is. I have tended to higher stats in the past but after playing in a couple of lower stat games the victories seem sweeter.
I learned the other day the name of the guy who sings the Grinch song in the cartoon version and no, it wasn't Boris Karloff. The dude has the most perfect fantasy RPG name I've ever heard on a real person: Thurl Ravenscroft. I am having a character with that name. Soon.
We apologise for the delay in this game normal service should be resumed by the weekend.Sorry guys but work and the holiday season have combined to make my posting a bit lax.
